Thanks DMO, you worded the question much better than I did.

I found this thread that related to my question. The second poster mentions Ride-by-Attack and says that as long as the mount in question has not moved more than double its speed it can also attack at the end of the charge, which would be directly adjacent to the enemy. I think I'm going to go with that ruling, unless my DM specifically says otherwise.

Newbie question here. I'm playing a Beast Rider Cavalier and I see that Triceratops gets the Powerful Charge at level 7. If I'm making a charge using a lance can I also take advantage of the mount's powerful charge, or does the lance's reach negate that? I'd love to be able to take advantage of both attacks.

If I would need any feats to specifically accomplish what I'm asking I can make it happen. I'm currently advancing to level 5 and I would only get Powerful Charge at level 7. My Cavalier's feats are: Animal Affinity, Mounted Combat, Cavalry Formation, and Ride-by-Attack. I'm working with a blank slate for my mount because my last one was killed.

I've just started running this campaign! Since this is literally my first time running ANY campaign and I'm looking for as many aides and resources as possible. This is invaluable! Thanks so much!
