Question: Well, two questions. I use Hero Lab and many of the details I use give this red text box that says that Paizo has yet to update the Pathfinder Society Allowed Resources List in order for it to be okay to use this or that on my characters. Is something up with my download? Has it really been over two weeks since that has actually been accomplished, since Paizo has updated this list? I ask here because I have had minor issues with Hero Lab in the past. Just covering all areas to be sure of what's up... Thanks ahead of time for any info.. Snip ![]()
Exactly like the thread heading states: I'm wondering if any PFS scenarios take place in Geb? Also, if anyone knows of any module where the adventure takes place there as well, I'd appreciate knowing its name. I'm trying to find out about all I can on Geb and Nex. Not much out there... Thanks ahead of time. Snip ![]()
I have a Tiefling Sorcerer with the Draconic bloodline, Red Dragon. The Tiefling can shrug off 5 points of fire damage. That and cold and electric. The Aasimar swaps fire for acid resist. My question is now that my Sorcerer made it to 3rd level and climbing, does the 5 fire resist from the Draconic bloodline picking Red Dragon stack with the 5 resist for being Tiefling? Should I now be at 10 resist? I don't see it written any place that is doesn't stack. I don't see it written that is does either. It could be I'm looking in the wrong book. I also use Hero Lab. Maybe they don't add that in for my lazy butt. Dunno. Thanks ahead of time everyone... Snip ![]()
Hi all. Thinking about making a character for PFS that is the penultimate Undead Hunter/Killer. I've never tried out a class like this before, so here I am on the forums looking for good builds to study. I was thinking a mix of Warpriest and Inquisitor but I don't know. That combo might not be the best one. Thanks ahead of time for any advice and examples. Snip ![]()
Okay, so I had an idea more from the visual end at first over any rule system. I thought it would look cool or read cool in fiction, so I wanted to try it in a character build and bring it to the table at PFS. Here's my idea: A Strength based Magus...say Half Orc or the Tiefling Heritage that gives a bump to the Strength stat (Demon?) and take the Two Handed Thrower Feat. Once I gained the appropriate levels and the spell opened up, I'd take the spell Returning Weapon. My question is: Can a build that utilizes both arcane magic and combat cast Returning Weapon on...say...a Great Axe or Maul or Earth Breaker and have it work? Is that possible? Heck, is that allowed? And how far could I sling it? Ten feet? Twenty? Five? Would that depend on my Strength Modifier? Are you seeing the visual in your imagination now too? Your Half Orc is in the thick of it. You hit a monster next to you. The d12 comes up 9+5 from your Strength Modifier added in and down goes the baddie. What's this!? That annoying caster is readying a spell from that balcony up there. That can't be good. You cast Returning Weapon on your Great Axe and let fly. A roll of the d12 and it comes up 11+5. No more spell caster, and *whump whump whump SLAP* your Great Axe comes back and thumps into your hands in time to swing at two new foes that were foolish enough to come at you. Awesome!! Thanks ahead of time everyone. Snip ![]()
Okay, so I am fairly new to PFS. I have two characters. My Rogue is creeping toward 7th level and my Tiefling Magus just hit level 3. And I'm already looking ahead to playing beyond 11th level. Does anyone know if Paizo plans on churning out scenarios for Seekers? I've heard they have Mods for the occasional Con to play but why not make them more common like scenarios for levels 1-5, 3-7, 1-7, 5-9 and the high end of 7-11? I know there are many with level 12s just placed on a shelf. That's weird. Write some stuff for the high end. If anyone knows the reasons why they have not done this yet, I'd love to hear why. Also, if anyone has some info on PFS scenarios for Seekers in the future, that would be even better. I want to play weekly beyond level 11 with all my characters not just at a Con here or there. Thanks ahead of time Snip ![]()
The question I have is once you have the Fame level required does that number, say 8,000 gp, mean you're only allowed that much in total on your character or does that new spending level mean if you have the gold in your pocket you can use it as needed? Just wanted to know if I need to do the math to see if my armor, weapons, gear and magic items match this number or if it's a tiered spending slo,t and if I have the cash, I can spend it on whatever. Well, what's on my scenario sheets plus my armor and weapon needs, anyway. Thanks ahead of time. Snip ![]()
I am building a Tiefling Magus to play in PFS. What is the Feat I need called that opens up things like Prehensile Tail and Bears Maw? Someone told me at a game I need a prereq feat for something and I think it's this. Any help is appreciated. I'm new and clueless to both the Magus class and the Tiefling race but intrigued by both. Thanks ahead of time for the help. Snip ![]()
I'm looking for build advice on the Magus class for my PFS game. I've never played the class before and really have no clue where to begin. I like the Elric of Melnibone build but a Staff Magus looks cool too. Anyone have a favorite build with stats, weapons and feats to take they'd like to share? I'd appreciate it. Thanks ahead of time. My first post and my first ever thread started here. I'm so excited! This topic is more just me looking for opinions on a set Pathfinder rule. Okay, under 3.5 rules the Half Orc had...what a +2 to STR and CON and a -2 to CHA. The Half Elf had...um...a +2 to INT and DEX and a -2 to CON. Is that correct? I believe so. My question is why did Pathfinder under their new basically 3.75 rules system give the two 'mixed' races the same +2 to drop in any stat of their choosing like a Human and that's all? I think, since these two are mixed races, that the rule should have been that the player pick one of the former +2s -- STR or CON for the Half Orc and INT or DEX for the Half Elf and THEN, with only the one used, they could add the Humans +2 to wherever they like. These are two races joined, yes? They should benefit from each parent...to a point. My only concern is that -2. Hmm? Not sure what to do about that. Opinions? Thanks ahead of time everyone. Snip |
