Yay! I'm away from my books at the moment, but I will get creating tomorrow. How/where would you like the character sheets?
How imminent do you think this is going to happen? I'm still OK to wait for a bit, but if you think it might be a while still, I might have a look around for something else. (It's been busy at work anyway, so I didn't mind too much...)

I've decided on the adventure we'll be playing in about two weeks from now: the new Pathfinder Society adventure Delirium's Tangle. It's a dungeon crawl, and you can create your characters with that in mind. Also, none of you will be part of the Pathfinder Society, so you won't have to deal with faction rules. That's good to hear coming back from the Easter holidays! Hurrah! So, have you decided how you want us to create characters? And are there any other requirements before we start? I'm quite looking forward to this (as you might have noticed...)
Actually, I'd like to ask : any special requests? Nope, I haven't played any PathFinder stuff at all yet and the only modules I've played recently are the WotC 4th edition stuff. At some point I'd like to play or DM the Kingmaker AP as that looks like good fun to me, but seeing that you don't want to do an AP that's no problem with me.
Ok, I'm thinking about playing a 'bad-ass' Cleric. More a warrior priest than a healer. Spreading the name of his/her deity whether the recipient likes it or not. I've been looking at the domains and two combinations look nice: either Fire/Madness or Fire/War. The former would be more a character with a deeply troubled past (a kind of 'firestarter') and the latter more a real combat priest, wielding a mace in one hand and lobbing holy fire with the other. If you want to stick to the gods of Golarion, I think Sarenrae comes closest, and maybe then using the Fire/Glory combo would work, with the character being more of an undead-killer. How does that sound?

I'd definitely be interested! (hint, hint) At some point I'd like to run a PbP, but for one I don't have that much experience in playing one, so I'd like to do that first, and I've also not been a player for a very long time, just a DM.
I think it's fairly clear that he wants to be a player. Heh, yes, player please :) Maybe a bit more detail: Pathfinder if possible because I'd like to try it, 3.5 otherwise. Not much experience with other systems. One of the adventure paths would be nice (especially Kingmaker, that looks really sweet!!), but I'm open for anything. I've got the Pathfinder main book, but I'd be willing to get any expansions/extensions if needed and they don't cost too much. There, that's a bit more clear I think, no?
So looking at the board this is not usually how this is done, but I've looked through a number of the 'looking for players' posts and most of them seem to be full up, so maybe if I leave my plea here, someone could take pity on me. A bit about my rpg-credentials: Long-time player, often DM but not much PbP experience. I've done some free-form Amber DRPG PbP, which was great, but I'm looking to get back into the 'real' stuff. I've got D&D coming out of my ears since AD&D, and I've found that 4th edition (yes, sorry for mentioning it) is just not fun. I've looked long and hard, and even though I've not 'absorbed' all the rules, the Pathfinder book looks good and has gotten my creative juices flowing again. So, if you're a player short or want to start a new game, maybe consider giving me a shout on this thread and I'll see what I can do for you! Alex. |
