Thanks guys. Yeah, me and my group totally missed that bit. And now we have a character in desperate need of a weapon, lol. Yeah, thanks for the help.

Ok, so, in a campaign I'm in, there's a character whom, using the following link,http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1gw#v5748eaic9tml , a draconic bloodrager. Now, another person in the campaign claims they don't get the Dragon disciple bite attack. Given that the character in question is doing a natural attack build, cause they thought it'd be cool to rip stuff up like a dragon in their normal form, this is kind of an issue. Looking at the text for the bite, it says, "At 2nd level, whenever the dragon disciple uses his bloodline to grow claws, he also gains a bite attack. This is a primary natural attack that deals 1d6 points of damage (1d4 if the dragon disciple is Small), plus 1–1/2 times the dragon disciple’s Strength modifier. Upon reaching 6th level, this bite also deals 1d6 points of energy damage. The type of damage dealt is determined by the dragon disciple's bloodline." Now, the bloodrager claws state "At 1st level, you grow claws. These claws are treated as natural weapons, allowing you to make two claw attacks as a full attack, using your full base attack bonus. These attacks deal 1d6 points of damage each (1d4 if you are Small) plus your Strength modifier. At 4th level, these claws are considered magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. At 8th level, the damage increases to 1d8 points (1d6 if you are Small). At 12th level, these claws deal an additional 1d6 points of damage of your energy type on a hit." The conflicting points are that the bloodrager has grown their claws at br level 1 and basically just hasn't lost them since, and so, never regrow them, while the dragon disciple bite states that the bite is only obtained when the claws are grown. Since the claws were already grown at the time of gaining this ability, the argument is that the bite is never gained due to the activation trigger, the growing of the claws, having already been done when there was no bite to gain.

This wasn't called into question until the character in question had already reached bloodrager 7/dragon disciple 7, at which point the character had proven to be unexpectedly effective.

So, people of the world. What are your thoughts? Does the character get the bite, assuming that since the text was written originally for sorcerers, and only later applied to bloodragers, that it is reasonable to assume that the slight wording difference would not lock them out of such a useful feature, or are they just boned because they already grew their claws?
