Lady Eleanor is thrice saddened, by the loss at the trial, by the rejection of her healing, and by the vigilante mob. Perhaps it is time to spread her healing somewhere else. She gathers her belongings before looking to join the rest of the group.

Spotting her friend Gaarm talking with a merchant she makes her way over as he reveals his wounds.

She lets him finish speaking and awaits the merchants response, prepared to help barter on Gaarm's behalf.

Lady Eleanor spends what will probably be their last day in town helping the people of the town one last time. She makes her way through the town spending her healing liberally. She asks for nothing in return, she simply wants to leave on a good note. Willing to spend all of my energy body rounds, two channels, 3 level 1 spells, and 2 level 2 spells. If there is a strong need , I will spend more.
Though many in town will not be happy about our time spent here, Lady Eleanor at least wants the feelings to be mixed.

Lady Eleanor spends a little time healing and talking to the kids of the town as well as their parents.

Seeing an injured child with a small gash on his cheek, Its been quite a day today. Let me see if I can make it a small bit better. clw: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9, she touches the boys cheek. When she does, small little sparks of positive energy arc out leaving a healed cheek where before there was blood.

Lady Eleanor grabs the stuffed teddy on her way out of the crowd. She puts it in her belongings. It may help with calming Andrew back down if they find him later. Observing the liquid in the pipes she turns to Zakon asking, Could this liquid be alchemical in nature, I don't suppose there are too many alchemists in town.

I will accompany you Nizvit, I think I owe it to him to be there. Lady Eleanor says with a sullen look on her face. With Zakon, After death we are all judged. There are two main factors to this judgement. The first is who you have chosen to worship in life. If you have chosen a deity and your actions come close to aligning with theirs, your soul will end up with that deity in the great beyond. If you do not worship a deity or if you act in ways very dissimilar from your deity, you usually end up on a plane based on your actions. This is not so much a belief as it is an observable fact. While there are niche cases where souls can end up in the wrong spot, for the most part they end up where they should. A person really does determine their fate based on their actions. I have never personally been to the lower planes, but I have read first hand accounts. They are places of torment. The upper planes, on the other hand are generally places of happiness. For those who tend more towards chaos, a plane of roiling energy awaits them. For those who tend towards order, a sprawling city plane filled with libraries and perfect order. For those who are conflicted inside or whom do not have tendencies one way or another, end up in the spire. Most who end up here are able to pursue things that they pursued in life, but without the worries of time. If you arrived here you could pursue alchemy in an idealized alchemical shop. Perhaps, with time you would acquire some level of renown and people would travel the planes to come and learn from you or purchase your wares. You don't need to be a saint to improve your lot in the next life. But doing a little good and a repentant heart can help offset anything you have already done.

With Andrew You will always be Andrew. Not even death can take that away. It just brings changes, and not all bad. uh wait he is a construct? Did we know that?

Lady Eleanor will spend some time with Andrew explaining what one can expect after death. She will use her time to explain her recent experience and how life after death is not always that bad. She will explain how he will get a fair trial before Pharasma.

Overhearing Zakon speak of his own fate after death she will ask, Life here is short, if you wish to improve your place in the next one, I can help you with that. I doubt you have done anything that can not be undone. You don't have to be perfect, but it will take a little effort. I don't want to scare you, but if you think what Volkstag and Grimes did was bad. They have very little on the denizens of the lower planes. It's just and offer, and it will always stand. It's not too late until you die.

Taking her seat once more, Lady Eleanor begins her line of testimony.
We investigated the fire involving Dr Brada and his patients. While at the scene of the crime we came across a vial from Volkstags and Grimes. A seemingly insignificant clue but a small piece that you will soon see fits neatly into the greater puzzle. Dr Brada had as his patients deformed humans. We saw their remains in the hospital. As many of you may or may not know we discovered a series of heinous crimes committed by none other than the same Volkstag and Grine. We caught them in the act of skinning another person alive. Upon further investigation we discovered a closest full of skins, hanging there as if ready for wear. If we could please have them brought in as evidence. Once the cart is brought in, As you will see, contained among them is this particular one. A large deformed man. Where did they get this skin from? The most logical place is from the hospital. If Volkstag and Grime wanted this skin, they would need to cover the evidence of their crimes. What better way then a fire? And if they do indeed wear these skins, why not put one on and have "the beast" blamed? In fact why not use such a disguise to cover up all your crimes? What is more is we actually saw Volkstag, wearing a skin in this manner. When we fought humans he was hit with acid, the skin he was wearing fell off. How terribleof them to use such a ruse to blame others for their actions. The final piece that ties this all together is the skinned face found with the coracle. Every place where "the beast" had alegedly commited a crime, there was evidence of skinning or Volkstag and Grines. It appears that there has been quite a deception, a deception in blood and skin, had it not been discovered, "the beast" or Andrew, would merely be another victim, another casualty of the crimes of Volkstag and Grimes.

Usual practice :)
Having spent the better part of the afternoon amongst the townsfolk, she begins to have a better understanding of the town. It's not that these people are very much different from anyone else. They have simply led a much grimmer life than most, and these murders have really shook them. Parents care for their children, and desire greatly for any threat against their children to be done away with, no matter how irrational it may seem. To turn their hearts, Lady Eleanor must show that "the beast" is no threat. Only then will he have peace.

While at the table with Zakon and Gaarm whenquestions of anatomy came up. I assure you that I was sent back anatomically appropriate for my new form. after saying this she gives them both a slight nod and then goes back to her beer, won from by efforts of Naxx.

While Zakon goes on his shopping trip, Lady Eleanor continues her discussion with Gaarm, planning the next day's testimony. I did not think of the skin suit connection. Perhaps there is something to it. I will ask for the suits to be placed in evidence for the morning.

After preparing her case and asking for trvskins to be placed in evidence, Lady Eleanor will go looking for people she can help by means of her magic. She goes out of her way to help children, mending a scrapped arm, a broken toe and a bruised back if she can find them. Will use as many as 3 clw and 2 cmw on whomever I can find to help. If the need is dire, I will use more.

Lady Eleanor shakes her head at Gaarm's playing with his food. I'm willing to give my situation a shot. Death brings a new perspective on things. If Arshea did not want me to be a woman, she would not have made me a woman. Sometimes I feel that she is just messing with me but who am I to say? I can't say I was a fan of her means of intervention, but life is an adventure right?

Lady Eleanor turns in her seat to listen to Naxx's performance. It's not bad and it's a little soothing, at least the parts heard over the chatter.

Listening to Zakon's assessment of the day at trial Lady Eleanor, simply smiles when he mentions her mother. While her mother had long ago pass, it was her parent's love that set her down this path. I too lost my mother while I was quite young. I feel that sometimes she watches what I have done. I hope I have made her proud. Noticing the "bit of dirt" in Zakon's eyes, Lady Eleanor does not bring attention to the state of his eyes to avoid any embarrassment for the tiefling.

Famished, Lady Eleanor happily bites into the leg of meat she ordered. After a couple of bites she composes herself. I have to remember to act lady like, at least here in town. Eating more graciously, she listens to her companions help plan the next day of trial.

Well that went a lot better than yesterday. We may have reached a turning point. At least some now are seeing things our way. I'll post a longer post later today when I have some time, but we need to make sure that our final day is lock tight.

At Zakon's first slight snore he finds a quick elbow jab to the ribs, whispering to Zakon, I don't think the court will take kindly to snores.

When it is time to address the crowd lady Eleanor takes the witness stand.
Our discoveries have been at odds with the account thus far on several occasions. First, the children were turned into wraith spawn. We met and slew the wraith who did it. The wraith's name was brother swarm and the children's spirits, turned to wraith spawn seemed to serve him. To become a wraith spawnone must be killed by a wraith, you can confer with the clerics of pharasma to confirm that point. It is also fairly clear that what we have before us is no wraith. Being not a wraith, had he killed the children their spirits would not have ended up as wraith spawn. This is simply a fact. At this point I will ask the cleric of Phrasma to confirm with what I have said.

From what I heard in the testimony (I assume it was the same as when we interviewed) he was never seen killing anyone. The only time he was seen with a body was when he was seen carrying Ellsa's body back into town. Turning to Andrew, Did you kill Ellsa or any of the children?

Based on his response I will bring out Ellsa and have the arranged for speak with dead cast on her.

Lady Eleanor will accompany Zakon to the lawyer's. It would be good to get the lay of the land for the second day of the trial. Not totally impressed with the lawyer, she is still a little sad to see Zakon beratement of him and she shows just a hint of her displeasure on her face. Realizing that Zakon may be and bit cranky from his lack of sleep, she lays a hand on his shoulder removing his fatigue. It won't fix everything, but it will help.

Lady Eleanor makes her way back to the inn with Zakon, she found the interrogation more exhausting than she anticipated. She had almost smacked Zakon on the back of the head at one point, but he seemed to come to the realization himself and honestly, she was impressed. He would make a better lawyer than the guy we have now. With this thought in mind Eleanor responds to the offer for help Zakon, you have a very analytical mind. Perhaps you could aid our current lawyer in his strategy. He unfortunately lacks the same analytical ability.

Eleanor spends a fitful hour in sleep, barely enough to stave off exhaustion before waking to prepare her spells and her defense. She places her hand on her chest and briefly pushes positive energy into her body to stave off the remaining fatigue. When Gaarm runs up as she is heading towards the trial she welcomes his advice and goes over the evidence with him.

Smiling that the Lieutenant was taking the crime at least somewhat seriously, We had gone to the Chymic works to investigate a frail lead we had from a crime scene involved in the trial. Arriving at the premise, we asked to come in but were denied. It was shortly after that a blood curdling scream came from within the building. Unsure of what had happened, but hoping to be of some assisance we went inside. It was there that a horrible sight met our eyes. It seemed that Vork was in the middle of skinning a tiefling alive. I healed the poor fellow as best I could. Before we went to confront the proprietors further. The proprietors fought us off temporarily, but we were able to return earlier today. The rest of the place was even more grotesque. It seems that there was a skinstealer at work. We even came across a closet of skins. Looking about Lady Thomas breaths a slight sigh of relief. It was a hard decision to come back in here. This room proved the decision to be correct. With her conscious allayed she begins thinking about the end these people may have endured and is overcome by sadness. A small tear forms near her eye but it is hard to tell the difference between it and the sweat caused by her heavy armor.
After the remarkable course of her facial expression, shock to relief to sadness, her face finally comes to a look of resolve. We should finish with this building first. I hate to miss anything important, and we don't know how far these sewers go.
