Thunderstomp (Do you have options?)

Another question about Thunderstomp. Does the effect originate from the caster or can the caster start it anywhere from next to them out to 60 feet before the wave starts? Some spells specify that they start at the caster this one does not.

I was wondering if anyone out there plans to attend this convention to play PFS? Not sure if I want to commit to going if it has the potential to come up short on players.
