Thank you. That was my assumption, but wanted clarification.

So we are currently in a campaign with primarily good aligned characters. We've subdued an evil witch (confirmed, baby eating type) and captured her and her familiar. In the process of debating what to do with them, and it raised a question.

If you separate a witch from her familiar, could the witch dismiss her familiar and gain a new one by the standard familiar rules (with spells as described under the witch familiar section), or, since their bond is through their patron and potentially deeper than an wizard's familiar bind (based on witch spells being in their familiar) would they be not be able to as long as their prior one is alive?

I'm a long time player who is interested in a new group. I have a pretty awesome group that I play with Saturday nights, but I would love to find something for the other completely free night I have each week.

I currently work a schedule that includes nights (so I am up really late, even on nights off) but I have EVERY Thursday off. If I could find a group with a location I can bus to on a Thursday night (I can uber/cab/car2go back as needed)it would be pretty awesome. If it helps, I am willing to host a small group (no more than 6 including me) at my place in 98144 zip code that has lots of bus access and free street parking. My ideal group would be able to start after 6-7p and go until whenever (most groups run 4-8 hour playtimes I've found, and I can definitely do that).

I've got experience with a wide range of systems, mostly d20 based, but am willing to explore. I generally prefer 'heroic' type campaigns, but can be flexible with this too. I actually just picked up playing Pathfinder this summer (with my main group, we changed GMs for a while and this one does Pathfinder) and am really enjoying it. I'd be interested in a Pathfinder Society series if someone is open to it...

Random other bits, I am 39, so therefore tend to prefer to have a group with most members over 21 in case we all like each other and want to actually hang out, have a drink and the like. I do 'officially' live on my own, but I do have a gf who spends most nights at my place, so you will likely meet her if gaming is held at my location.

Hopefully I'll hear from some of you all soon and we can work on a group.
