Just ran silent tide as a home game and I gotta say "WELL DONE" haveing played a rogue in to 10th lev. and really fustrated that undead and constructs are the only thing that was submitted for modules at upper levels I got discuraged... but there was something for everyone in that Scenario... I hope they keep it up. A game day for me is cool at this point as I have only eaten one adventure! So to play them and then run them is the Ideal situation. I will e-mail death boy and see what is shakn' I live in Burlington vt though and it is a bit of a travel...
I am very glad to see all the response to what I thought was a "just me" topic. Maybe with all the GMing that we are doing we will have some prestige among our piers when they incorporate the final version of PF. next gen con. Maybe since we are play testing the PFS for paizo and we run enough games we get a free copy of the final PF? (the last one was for anyone at Paizo listening.....)(grin)
I hope they (PFS) find some way to help the GM's as there is (as you know) a lot of work involved in being a GM, the event coordinators do a good job of giving you a break on convention costs for running games but still a lot of work to bone up on an adventure and new set of guidelines on short notice... for GM's new to the PFS.
I have read the Pathfinder Society game rules and at the back it states that the GM must play the scenario first in order to get credit for it. My question is this: Starting off with home games and our group there is no convention to play the scenario first as suggested. So home game GM's have a distinct disadvantage in "eating" Scenarios. Do you have any plans to create a GM rewards program for those scenarios which are indeed eaten? Maybe access to a free society scenario of choice... Cool dice with pathfinder logo on it for GM use only? anything in the works? ANY advantage to being a GM at a con? Thanks,
First LOVE the new pathfinder Beta and can not wait for release into the society. Qustion: using 3.5 PHB and having played 3.5 for many years also find your assumptions to be accurate on the character classes. Beta seems to have buffed up the classes, The point system for Char. Gen. seems low for the 3.5 version having used the 28 point system to date. how does the society compensate for the lower stats? Using 20 points rather than 28 seems to hamstring the Char. even with the faction feat bonus. Are the scenario's easier? am I missing something? |
