Dropping a note in all my games. Finished up with school yesterday, just waiting on the audit for me to officially be done and graduate even though there are no commencements with the whole virus thing. Wife is doing better after brief stint in the hospital. Looking at starting to get back into my games and get posting again sometime this week. My work is really crazy as first kids were coming back on the 17th but now everything is going to be virtual for an indeterminate amount of time, but teachers are coming back still and there is a lot of questions floating out there so bare with me as I ease into catching up on things and getting back into a regular posting routine again over the next week or so.

Regarding loot, I claimed the Ring of Feather Falling and the +1 Mithril Chain shirt just because no one else had. I loose a point of AC, but my skills and speed will no longer be hampered. However, if someone else needs the chain shirt let me know. I gave most of the alchemical items and potions to the "party" share. If everyone has what they want this is the gold split:

Shi does her best researching but without any help it is overwhelming, not to mention the mess they had been through the days prior what with being locked up and beaten, to eventually escape. She ends up falling asleep in the middle of reading something, not getting anywhere, and lays there stooped over the book, her head resting on her arm.

With Kiley and Marcus and Vera already off on their own tasks she left Krovax and Magda to hopefully get their loot sold off while Shi heads back to the library to continue her research where she left off. There was still something fishy about this Arkona woman and she wanted to get to the bottom of it.

Not sure if she gets the +2 consecutive bonus from continuing or if it truly has to be back to back research for that to apply.

With that roll though, it isn't going to matter much :(

Shi gives Magda a nod but adds "Yes, though, since we have the day, I was going to go do some more research on that family if you all don't mind handling selling off the loot. Of course, anyone is welcome to join me as well." She pauses as another thing crosses her mind "Oh... we should also probably figure out what we are going to do with Devargo's boat, just leave it be and let the city claim it. Sounded like burning it down wasn't a good idea, but might be able to sink it." She shrugs not having an opinion one way or the other.

Shi wiggles her nose at the back and forth of who should be in charge and just as it seems to be settled she chimes in "I would like to amend that a bit, I don't have a problem with you taking over once a fight begins, but can we agree that maybe before we actually get in fights give me a chance to try and talk to people?"

She glances over at Kali very specifically as she says the next part "And follow my lead rather than going off the cuff with your own bluffs..." It's obvious Shi is still sore about Kali being a horrible liar which she feels is what started the whole mess they were in whether accurate or not.

(Technically, Magda was the one to put us into initiative :P)

Shi smiles as Magda agrees to continue helping and as Marcus chimes in she adds to the others replies "Honestly, at first I think we were all just doing our own thing which lead us into going in multiple directions, being disorganized and inevitably failing. Down below, we had laser focus on escaping and dealing with Devargo and we followed each others leads. I think moving into the future we should maybe establish some ground rules like 'Unless someone is knowingly doing something evil and wrong, we don't start a fight with them or more importantly try to kill them especially if they aren't trying to kill us.' Yes Devargo had to go, but what got us into the mess in the first place was fighting the guards when we should have run and then actually trying to kill them."

She pauses a moment before continuing "I also think it is pretty clear that unless there is an absolute necessity we should do our best at staying behind Marcus and Krovax in fights since they are well suited at defending themselves and the rest of us."

Shi goes up to Magda with a sly grin as she corrects her, wrapping her arm around the younger half-orc "Yes, we are all still employed. You know, you made it all out to be a lot worse than it was. She was glad we were back and actually was very complementary of you and Vera. Maybe you should give Kroft a second chance I think the two of you possibly just got your wires crossed a bit in the heat of the moment. In any case, she wants us all to meet with her in a couple days."

Shi nods the whole thing having been exhausting, it will be nice to get a good nights rest. She offers Kroft a smile "Well, thank you for what you were able to do to help and I'm glad things weren't as bad as Magda made it out to be. I will speak with her tomorrow once we track her down. In any case, good night."

With that she turns to leave but waits outside the room for the others, when they are all gathered she notes "Let's get some rest, regroup in the morning. Sell off our stuff and find Magda, then we should all talk."

To be clear, we have basically one day to ourselves before we need to meet back up with Kroft as per her request?

Shi walks in expecting the worst but is somewhat pleasantly surprised when Kroft seems happy to see them. "Indeed we managed to escape with the brilliant work Vera and Magda did. Magda is ok, but yes she is upset with you. Honestly from what she said I was expecting you to be less happy to see us."

She pauses a moment and then shrugs before she continues "In any case, I think the big issue with our earlier operation was simply a matter of getting our wires crossed on how we were proceeding and when things turned south... well some of our group maybe got a little carried away. In any case, yes it was a learning experience and something we as a group will need to discuss before working on anything else. As for Barvasi, yes he is gone, so are his pets and his men are dispersed. We actually had a question in regards to his ship. Our concern is that if we just leave it there someone just as bad or possibly worse may step in to take Barvasi's place. We thought about just burning it down or maybe claiming it for ourselves, but wanted to get your thoughts on the matter."

Taking a breath she finally notes "Regarding potions... I'm not sure what you are referring to..." she looks back to Vera to see if she knows what Kroft is talking about.

Dropping a note in all my games. I am hoping things won't change too much, but wanted to forewarn my games that there may be some delays in my posting. My work schedule is usually busiest over the summer months and while it is slow right now I know at some point it will get crazy busy when I start getting shipments in of hundreds of new computers for a rebuild of one of my schools I manage. On top of this I am finishing up my dual MBA/MSIS this summer with three classes in a condensed 8-week semester.

All of this to say, I will do my best to keep up and if I know of major delays I will try to notify people (like when it is finals week), but if I do end up disappearing for a few days here or there just know it won't be long term. All the craziness I have going on over the next couple months should primarily be wrapped up near the end of July.

Shi gives Magda a nod and then knocks on the door ready to see how bad things may be based off Magda's description of things.

Shi leans in close to Magda as she whispers to her "He seems pretty drunk, let's just lead him back to the citadel so his people can take care of him."

With that she continues on her way back toward the citadel.

Shi looks back to Magda and her expression softens a bit before she turns back to the man "We are on our way back to the citadel if you would like to accompany us."

Shi looks at the drunken guard and then at Magda. When she tries to get away from the man Shi slides over to put herself between him and her "Grau is it? I think you might have my friend here mistaken for someone else. No disrespect sir but it appears you could do with a good nights rest."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

She is trying to be friendly but is slightly disgusted at the way the man, especially a guard no less, is acting and it apparently shows.

Shi considers Vencarlo's words for a moment and offers a smile in return as he walks away she notes "Thanks again!"

Turning back to the others she scrunches her nose "Guess we need to go talk to Kroft then... We can figure out what to do with the boat afterwards I suppose."

Unless otherwise held up she will turn and start walking toward the citadel.

Shi scrunches her nose a bit but then a wide grin forms and she shrugs "I suppose that's not a horrible idea. At least if we were running things here we could ensure that the somewhat less than legal activities fell in line with what benefited the city. Plus, as you said would give us another place to setup shop, especially as if Magda noted, we aren't on as good of terms with the guard anymore."

Shi moves over and extends her hand to Vencarlo and Belzar "As the others said, thank you again for your assistance and should you ever need the favor returned you can count on me to help."

As Krovax mentions the 'hive of scum' being gone, she turns her attention back to the group "With Devargo dead, what do you all think is going to happen to this place? I fear that as long as it remains someone else will just take over the reigns. Maybe the next person will be better, or maybe they will be worse, but either way we've now created an opening for someone to step up and claim power here."

She pauses a moment before adding "Unless we plan to burn it all down?" There is a bit of a twinkle in her eye at the suggestion, her chaotic nature shinning through a bit more than usual.

Shi smiles when Magda discovers the coins "Glad we could recover most of that, though that's not all mine, that is our share now since Devargo no longer has need of it..."

Outside she follows along with the others and once Vencarlo reveals himself and seems to take a particular interest in her she purses her lips a bit as she replies "Well, honestly I think that question should be directed at some of the others. I mean... I'm glad things worked out and we put down a threat to Korvosa, but was it necessary?" She shrugs rubbing at her wrists where her fur is matted and bloody from being bound by those horrible manacles. "Things could have been much worse for a fight that wasn't even particularly necessary..."

She let's out a deep sigh as she concludes her rant but then forces a smile "Anyway, thank you for your assistance. It is obvious out little group has much to discuss in terms of how we handle things moving forward." With a moment to finally breath she turns to Magda and goes to give the girl a hug "Thank you for coming for us." She goes and gives Vera a hug as well in thanks before asking "So, how did you two manage to put this all together?"

Shi swings again in her continued battle with the oversized arachnid, hoping to score a blow before it does.

Shi keeps on fighting the spider in front of her hoping to get another lucky blow on the thing.

Free of the webbing Shi moves back up to attack the nearest spider.

Shi tries to wiggle out of the webbing that is hampering her before doing anything else, happy to stay behind the walls for now until she can get loose.

Shi strikes out at the spider directly in front of her before stepping back behind their walls after the nasty injuries she just sustained.

Shi moves into the room with the others and seeing the spiders and other monster just feet away from Magda, Shi moves to put herself between the creatures and her younger companion. Holding her blade at the ready to attack if they draw closer.

As Marcus moves in and then stops, unable to see further, Shi asks "Are we worried about not burning the boat down? I mean unless one of us plans on taking over and running things here, would it not be better to wipe this taint off the face of Korvosa once and for all? The ship burns up, it ends whatever may be lurking in here as well yes?"

Shi pulls out a torch and looks to the others "Maybe we can just burn the webbing down?"

Once they get to the spider room after searching the rest of the place Shi holds her hand up to signal for the others to wait and then points to her ear then nods to the others as she mouths "Let's wait until your hearing returns."

Once they all can hear again she asks Magda "So, do you know anything more about this room from your bug buddy, do we need to make any preparations?"

As Magda shouts out to the drake Shi will explain what happened, that they killed Devargo, let his men leave and they are going to clear out the rest of the place, but Magda and Vera wanted to make sure he was rescued first.

Shi will look around up here just to make sure there isn't any other loot of Devargo's they can take before leading the group back downstairs and starting to go room to room checking for supplies until she reaches the one that Magda notes is where the large spider creature is at.

Shi will work with the others to get the house drake down, being that there are no other threats present in the room.

Once everyone is armored up and ready and all of Devargo's goons had departed peacefully, Shi looks around at the others and quickly remembers they all can't here when she see's them trying to communicate with hand signals.

Shi has no idea what Magda is doing until she tugs on her arm and then points upstairs. Shi gives her a nod and then goes around, tapping each person on the shoulder, then pointing up, and waving her hand in a 'follow me' signal before heading up stairs to quickly take a look around. At the bottom of the stairs she holds her hand up for them to stop so she can take a peek, just to make sure there isn't some surprise waiting for them.

Shi notices the few still being resistant. She moves her hand from Krovax's shoulder down to his weapon hand and pulls it down giving him a nod that it is ok. She tuns her attention back to those speaking "Thank you, we will take care of it."

Shi steps up and puts a hand on Krovax's shoulder. She holds her hand up for all to pause then turns to the men. "We have no quarrel with you, just your boss. Surrender you weapons, armor and gear and you are free to leave this place and take your wounded with you. We will be sure that Devargo posses no further threat to our city."

Shi quickly steps up next to Marcus to attack Devargo. She focuses on her attack to make two quick strikes.

"You're not going anywhere you bastard!" she snarls at the man as she leans in and attempts to bite him.

Bite, Bless: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10

Seeing Marcus toss Devargo's weapons away she knows something is up and moves back around the mast to get a better look. Seeing Devargo just standing there in the smoke she takes the opportunity to try and cut him down.

With more and more men filtering in Shi worries if they don't get this hall cleared out it is going to be problematic. She strikes out at the man in front of Krovax once again hoping to drop him so the wall can move forward.

Shi moves around the mast to come help Krovax in the hall as she notes to the wall "We need to push them back, cut off the other door into the room with Devargo."

She strikes out at the nearest thug with her blade, hoping to help clear some room for Krovax to move forward.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Damage, HS: 1d6 + 2d8 ⇒ (5) + (7, 8) = 20

Shi steps up next to Krovax and tries to knock out the one man still on the floor.

Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

Hearing Devargo and seeing him sprint into the room just to her west, Shi looks to not be at the very front of the fight. She strikes out at the closest enemy before she tries to tumble to the other side of Marcus, trying to avoid leaving herself open for an attack, but her slight panic seems to get the best of her as she misses horribly and likely opens herself up to an attack.

As Vera's magic begins to face Shi quickly moves around to the side of the one man who moved to flank Marcus, clear that no one was running and struck at him hoping to do enough damage he would be easy to knock out after.

Shi tries to spook the guy she is standing next to as she whispers a threat at him hoping it will demoralize the man.

"You should just surrender so you don't get hurt!"

Intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Maybe the whispering is more creepy than intimidating though...

She then quickly tries to circle around the man so he doesn't know where she is and to block the hallway to stop anyone from fleeing.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Stealth, Vanish: 1d20 + 9 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 20 = 32

As Shi sees her hands and such disappear she gives Vera a smile and a nod, though no one can see it. She slinks across the hall so she can get behind anyone and block the hall from any easy retreat.

Stealth, Vanish: 1d20 + 9 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 20 = 44 +20 more when she is across the hallway standing their waiting

Shi moves out into the hall, to watch for anyone coming and give an early warning if she sees anyone.

Stealth - Take 10: 10 + 9 = 19

Shi attacks the man, not wanting to kill him but hoping some actual damage will gelp to knock him out quicker.

Attack, Prone: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 4 = 14
Damage, HS: 1d6 + 2d8 ⇒ (3) + (2, 4) = 9

Retcon, for missing Marcus wasn't taking his armor off. Ignore the above.

As Shi finishes getting her armor on with Magda's help she looks to Marcus as she suggests "Let's set up an ambush here for the patrol. We already have the guards in the brig, leave them there, when someone comes to check I'll swing the door open and Marcus you push them into the room, then we block the hallway and try and knock him out in the brig?"

As Marcus takes off his armor her took from the guard and starts putting his normal armor on Shi suggests "Krovax, why don't you put on that armor and pretend to be one of the guards, maybe lay slumped over against the wall or something. Then when the patrol comes those of us that are ready can ambush them? Maybe push him into the cell and knock him out as well."

Shi frowns but as she waits for the others to chime is she looks to Magda "Well if we are staying, help me get this armor on."

With Magda's help it will take her two minutes to get into her armor. Then everyone will be armored to some degree except Krovax.

Shi starts to grab her stuff and looks to the others "I think we should take his advice. I didn't think we should have started a fight here in the first place, we should take our stuff and the rest of his for the inconvenience of being locked up and be on our way. If you all want to fight, I'll try and help, but I think we should take the luck we have and get out of here while we can. I doubt he will be as forgiving if we attempt and fail another assault."

Shi follows behind cautiously (take 10 for a 22 stealth) but hands the picks over to Dokren as he seems a bit more skilled than she is with the tools. She looks around the room while he works seeing if there is any hidden chambers or the like.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Shi will nod and follow Magda's lead since she has seemed to be capable thus far. "Just tell me where you need me." She grabs a club and a dagger just so she has something to work with.
