Background:

Asoka was born to a simple family of Kitsune in Tien Xia. She lived a pretty normal life in their small community of other shapechangers. It wasn't until she turned 16 that her life drastically changed. One morning she woke up and she was no longer at home, but she found herself in a deep pit. She had no idea how she got there. She screamed for help for hours but no help came. As thirst and hunger began to eat away at her she thought she was going to die in this hole. She shook off the concern and decided she wasn't going to let that happen. She did her best to try and climb out of the hole but just as she nearly reached the top she fell and slammed into the ground, knocking herself unconscious.

The next thing she knew she awoke in the arms of a young half-elf man and her body was just in pain. She struggled to try and get free but the half-elf just looked down and smiled as he told that she was ok and he wasn't going to harm her. Setting her down Asoka looked and saw that she had bandages over the places that she had injured in her fall. The half-elf told her what had happened, that he was an adventurer and he came across their town but it was too late. A savage group of assassins had wiped out the town and burnt it the ground there was nothing left. As they were leaving they passed by the pit and heard Asoka's unconscious whimpering. He couldn't just leave her there so he climbed down and got her out of the pit, bandaged her wounds and was taking her with them. He gave her the choice to either come with him or stay if she wanted, but told her there was nothing left to return to.

With little options before her she decided to go with her savior. The two grew close over the months it took her to recover and her half-elf savior Keenan Vron took her back home with him to Korvosa. Knowing what she was but accepting her anyway was quite a change for Asoka. Her family always told her to stay away from the other races because they didn't trust shapechangers and to hide her appearance if she ever did have to go around them. Keenan didn't care though, in fact he liked that she was different. Just like him, an outsider because of his mixed blood the two had much in common.

Over the next couple of years the two got even closer. Keenan took Asoka out adventuring with him when things weren't too dangerous. He taught her the basics of fighting and how to do many things. He was a good teacher, but Asoka was also a natural and like most Kitsune she enjoyed the excitement and adventure. They talked about getting married and finding some land to call their own, maybe even having kids. She had forgot about the troubles that had befallen her back in Tien Xia and looked forward to her new life with Keenan. At least until Keenan was brutally murdered.

The Korvosan guard didn't care to investigate the murder of a half-breed adventurer even if he was well received in the city. With no help from others Asoka resolved to find his murderer herself. She didn't have time to grieve and instead turned all her energies in to tracking down the one responsible for taking her love away. She used what Keenan taught her and kept up the appearances of a normal life to do the softer investigative work, but when it came time for something more difficult she would change back to her natural form and use the tools and weapons of her homeland to seek out answers with brutal efficiency. However, after a time of searching she didn't find anything until one day she stumbled upon a unique ring she had given Keenan to promise herself to him, a ring from her homeland in Tien Xia. While she couldn't afford to buy the ring back because all of her money, or more accurately her fiances money was tied up in her survival and in tracking down Keenan's murderer. Even so, while not able to get the ring back yet she finally had a lead, the name of the man who sold the ring to the shop, Gaedran Lamm.

Secret unknown to Asoka - Her 'pack' was actually a group of assassins. The predicament she had found herself in was actually part of their initiation ritual. Keenan and his group were tasked with dispatching these assassins. Once they did they stumbled across Asoka. Keenan could bring himself to kill her, especially since she hadn't been initiated yet so instead he saved her and lied to her.

Appearance:
Asoka is a lithe and beautiful young woman. She has fiery auburn hair, and bright green eyes. Her skin is rather pale and even though she is a native to Tien Xia she has adopted a human form much more similar to the other Korvosan's to blend in then what she used to use.
