She is carrying a screaming baby and is being pursued by two ogres who will catch her just before she reaches the woods.

What do Pc's want to do?

1st, Immediate action: "Oh cr@p!"

2nd, Immediate action: Stand, begin to accelerate using all four legs, wings begin to unfold.

3rd Immediate action: Begin to actually think

Actual 'Per Round' type actions to follow. :P

Roll Init:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

I'm glad for that, Ungorralin. Wouldn't want your coppery self left just hanging in the breeze. (^_^)

Sherren shivers her scales again,

"I never said assault, I said we fight." She huffs. "There has to be a reason the White has emerged. Do we know how big this one is? It might just be a lesser spawn of our true adversary..." She ponders.

"I'm hoping the thing takes wing, so that we may truly do great battle in the air!" A slight fervor comes into Sherrens voice as she speaks. "It will be magnificent!"

"So. who is here and who do we need to call back to the group?"

Seriously, I do think poor Ungorralin is the only one who's not 'With the group' and is actually almost stuck at ground zero with this thing!

3 hours later Aurion comes down from the trees, and wakes you, he is looking worried.

"There is a large white dragon in that guarded room, it just came out!! what shall we do?"

At these words Sherren scrambles to her paws.

"What should we do?" She stares at Aurion, "We prepare to fight!" She looks around at every one who is here.

"Time for a paw count, who's missing? I've animal messenger that I can cast to get every one together." She shivers in excitement, a shimmering ripple cascading down her scales.

"Together we stand! United we fight!" She calls, then

"Lets get dangerous!" She purrs.

Aurion climbs 30ft up a tree so he can look into the village.

Sherren actually sounds a grumble from where she lays, followed by,

"I am not sleeping. I am basking." She huffs crossly.

Zarrosh goes into a meditative trance of his own, waiting till dark.

Can we assume that one of us goes and tell Ungorr our updated plan of sneaking in as a group?

"If I summarize, at night, we fly in or sneak to the hall. We take a quick peak in. Someone, likely Ungorralin, sneaks to the bell and mutes it. Then we all fall on the Onis to kill them before they can act. We will deal later with the ogres and anything that is in the hall.

Sherren opens one green eye, "Sounds good to me." She agrees already sounding sleepy.

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

'I really don't have any ideas other than what I've already said. Ungorralin is going to wait til nightfall as well." She begins ti turn in a circle, creating a nice flat space in which to curl up.

"So, once we have dusk, I'll be happy to help folks do the deed." She settles down, snout curled up on tail and paws before closing her eyes and settling in to doze.

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

Sherren sits, tail curling around her claws like a cat as she does so,

"I would think it would depend upon the weather," She replies first to Gharzarana, "If a fog or mist did develop, then adding such a spell to thicken and hide the group would be a good idea. But just on its own? I would think more of using it as a distraction. Let the stupid Ogres fumble about in the empty mist while we fly over the top." She shivers, sending a ripple along her scales.

"I have few abilities to change form beyond the lesser Elf one, I would rather save them for when we engage the Ogres." She sighs, "I would rather we lure the Ogre gate guards out into the forest, take the brutes more two at a time if we could. Yes the leaders of the band will realize that some one is whittling away at their forces, but hopefully they will underestimates us for when we fly in and assault the grand hall." She dips her head as she ponders some more.

"I wonder if there is a way to get one of the Oni out into the woods? Some sort of diversion? Something that an Oni would bring a couple of Ogres out with them? It would be a tougher fight, but one we should win, fighting upon our terms,as it were. Less Oni is more of what I would be looking for. An Ogre is a relatively simple fight." Her voice trails away, her speaking more an expression of her thoughts than anything else. Finally she shrugs,

"Listen to me. Over thinking everything." She snorts and looks to the others, "We could always try and actually take the hall first? Make it our redoubt, deal quickly and decisively with whoever or whatever is residing within and then we can deal with the Ogres one at a time as they try and enter the hall? A possibly better plan?"

"Shaya, please let the others know I'm gonna wait until nightfall, until then, may as well watch the east gates, see if anybody decides to take a swim."

If a bird could frown, Shay would be doing so to Ungorralin.

*Go tell the others...., See if anybody takes a swim...* She thinks crossly to herself. *I swear all of a sudden I'm the magic animal message spell* She thinks crossly as she flits away with an annoyed tweet.

Coming back to the others she is just in time to hear their plans as she shifts back into her normal form.

Zarroshduvar wrote:
Heren, were they actively looking at the sky? If not, Aaron and I can try to fly in under the cover of darkness. The rest of you all have ways to sneak in (invisibility, bird form, stealth). We can rendezvous near the hall." Recommends Zarrosh. "I rather not split our meager force, that's all."

She shivers, sending a ripple along her scales as she stalks forwards into their meeting.

"Ungorralin is going to wait until nightfall, until then he's going to be watching the east gates." She informs her siblings. Tilting her head she adds, "I did also notice an alarm bell from the description. Some one should do their best to lessen that as a warning device. Maybe a silence sell centered on it? Or do we have any padding with which to mute the bells clapper?" She looks to Herensuge,

"I think the Ogres and Oni are just invaders, burning down innocent peoples homes isn't the cleverest of things to do." She huffs, obviously now in some sort of bad mood for some unfathomable reason.

Grasping the ring in one hand, he uses his other hand to guide her tail so he can grasp the tip. Then he guides the ring onto the tail. It slips on there perfectly, but then it stays stuck after a couple of feet. He tries pushing it further, but the ring has bonded itself to her body.

"Sherry, what do you think?"

(^_^) I do believe we're of the same size when I'm in Dragon form and you are in your mundane Half-ling one.

Arching her neck she looks down her length (All eight odd feet of it) and 'swishes' her tail experimentally. With an arched eye ridge she ponders the play of light upon the different contrasts of metals.

"Not bad, not bad at all..." She continues to admire the thing for a short while more. "Of course, now there is the proof if the endeavor..." As she closes her eyes and concentrates,

"Um, you may want to stand away there, Ungorralin, not sure how this is going to go." She waits for her Half-ling formed brother 'dismounts' and then....

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

I like it as a fair way of sorting out the things the party comes across.....but....*eyes expensive great sword. Chews on lip in indecision...* That sword is just worth soo muuuch *pouts*

(^_^) We can always save up for some magic to kind of move yours around. (^_~)

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

Relaxing into her Dragon form, Sherren takes a moment to flex and settle then turns to a now much larger Ungorralin.

"Here, now I have an idea that you can help me with my tail." She grins, something that this time has fangs, as she turns 'tail' on to her Half-ling sized brother.

Sherren calms herself as much as she can, settling her scales as flat as possible. "Take my ring and slide it up my tail as far as it will go. Or dos any one think this perhaps not such a good idea? An item that can only go on once, I would not want any where that will eventually get in the way." She pauses again in thought. "Though, perhaps a toe claw might suffice..."

SO! There you go. I want to wear this magical ring upon my tail, that way any 'normal' rings won't look/seem out of place. (^_^)

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

Ahhhh...I see...um, but how do you fix things up when people have no real depth to their starting hord, dammnit!...I mean no real funds initially to split things up?*tries to look innocent*

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

Response to Raven34:

1)Hiya Sherren, in fairness to other players you will have to take feats from core rules or the bestiary, sorry:Not to worry, will swap them two out for, um, those other two...*nods*:P

2)Also regarding stats, you should only have one set of stats (these are the stats as a dragon), it should be the same for both forms except that you apply size modifiers
so if you are a medium humanoid and a medium sized dragon your stats are identical but if you are a medium sized Humanoid and a large dragon then you will find that your strength will be higher and you dex lower as a large dragon (does this make sense)
>.< Um, noope, brain melting here now...help?

3)All druids can convert any of their memorized spells into a summon nature's allyDidn't know that. I don't think I've ever actually played a Druid n 3.X so in a way this is all new to me. Will adjust the whole spell list/choice soon. *nods*

4)The dragon hide thing may cause a problem when around other dragons, I'm not saying that you cant have dragon hide later I'm just saying that Drumas would not have had some made for you: Heh, no worries. Am happy for the items to be made of something equivalent so my druid can use them. Uber-bullettte hide?

Just curious, how do you guys usually divide loot among the party members? In my face-to-face section, all loot gets sold, unless someone wants to claim something. If you claim, let's say, the cloak, then you pay 1/2 price and put that $ into the pot. This way, regardless of how many items are claimed, everyone still get the same share of $ as if they have sold everything. Fair?

Well, to date I haven't been in a PbP long enough to actually get any loot. :P So, in real life, all the items are talked about, those with obvious applications to characters are sorted and handed around. Pretty much everything else is then either sold and the proceeds split evenly, or if needed for its unique material, put away for other future item creation etc.

Given the nature of this game? My suggestion is everything is considered to be loot. Where possible, magic items should be swapped around to the characters who can best use them, everything else converted into hor,...uh...I mean money.

Just a question: If you claim, let's say, the cloak, then you pay 1/2 price and put that $ into the pot. This way, regardless of how many items are claimed, everyone still get the same share of $ as if they have sold everything. How does one go about 'paying' for this supposed item pick initially? I'm sure there's a way to reverse that idea into the overall scheme of hor...drat, I meant money sharing?

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

Response to Raven34

1)Summon nature's ally does not need to be memorized: Really? I thought it was a spell just like any other?

2)Instead of armor being dragon hide it will be something similar (just not dragon skin!): Um, okay though to my mind I don't see the problem. :P

3)Feats, wild casting is ok, but why Catch off guard?: Because versatility and flexibility give one better options in combat. ;)

4)What are the source books for Maximize Breath Weapon and 'Clinging' Breath Weapon?: They are from the "Draconomicon" a wonderful book chock full of law and information on Dragons.

"Maximize Breath weapon" is basically like the 'meta-magic[' feat "Maximize Spell". So instead of variable damage, the maximum amount possible is applied. Causes the Dragon to not be able to use their breath weapon again for four rounds.

"Clinging Breath weapon" Causes a residual effect so that the breath weapon attack remains in effect for a second round upon the target, causing half damage. Think the electro-blast that got R2-D2, ;)

5)If they are not in core rules or the bestiary then I am sorry but at the moment they are not allowed: This is kind of a bugger, but I shall swap those two out for two of the feats I other wise dropped. But I shall await an actual order from you before I do drop/swap them out. :)

6)Also I think you should only be a very young dragon: Yes, I have taken the stats, size etc for Very young. I just don't think in the changes I made all the right corrections to the character information. The sizes given and everything else should match what you've previously posted.

One question: The stat improvements that one gains at 4th and 8th level, to which form can/could they be applied?

Don’t worry too much about the mistakes (misunderstandings), I am running a high level campaign with dragon PCs! Mistakes and misunderstandings will happen often

*With a final, massive effort, Sherren breaks her shell*

*SPLOP*

For a moment the small Bronze Wyrmling lays within the fragments of shell and egg. Slowly, one bright green eye opens a slit and surveys the room to close and the process repeated with the other orb.

Perception Roll:1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28

Taking in the large bodies, the other Dragons and the small fey moving about Sherren gathers her legs beneath herself and stands calmly. With neck arched nobly, the small bronze wrymling pads graciously over to the chests, searching their lids for the runes she recognizes as her name. Coming to said box, she stops momentarily, her muzzle opened in a slight,

"Oh...". Before closing her eyes and focusing her mind...

Okay, this time for sure!
Still ready to adjust pending DM's review. *bows*

hiya! as a druid you will get 4 feats (total) and can take them from core rules or the bestiary

Expect that egg to hatch SOON!

*Polite cough* Sorry, just need a ruling on somethings...Posted in the OOC thread. V_V Again, sorry for being so slow.

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

HI, just a post to ask a question to clear something up with the character generation.

How many, and where from, Feats do characters get?

Are people using the Gestalt rules?

Just need this little something cleared up, thanks. :)

Cheers!

I still disagree with you, we are only level 8 characters with dragon abilities. we are not level 8 Dragons plus level 8 in a class which would make us level 16 characters. So you only have 4 feats (for char levels 1, 3, 5, 7).

Um, okay you're disagreeing with me. Is there a DM ruling? Also, we are technically "Gestating" both the Dragons and a class, so unless I've interpreted such rules incorrectly, a character does get the feats for 'both' classes. Hence the characters get the feats from their class, be it Druid, Wizard, etc. They get the amount of feats for their Dragon HD, which in this case is the second class. As well as getting the normal feats per 'class' level that every one gets. Hence why I have listed the number of feats that I have. Sorry for causing any chaos or confusion. Also very sorry for STILL not having a finished character. V_V

Female Bronze Dragon (Young) Druid 8

Sherren's egg trembles once more....then rolls onto its side and grows still

So, the notes and addendum I've made above are close or on the money? The feed back should get the character finished. Sorry I truly am for lagging behind so much. Work schedule has been hectic. V_V

I'm afraid there's a few issues with your character.

First your dragon is very young and not young. *Noted*

Stats? Definitely not finished, just threw in what was 'obvious' from the pages of the manual.

Then your HP are wrong with a +2 constitution bonus, you lack 8 points. *Noted, see stats not finished above*

Furthermore, your saves are all good like a dragon and not like a druid. *Noted*

It is the same for your BAB which should be +8 and not +6.*Noted*

You've also take twice the number of feats. You should only have 4 fr an 8th level character. Um, since the characters are 8th lvl characters, that's five feats for 'character' level (NOT counting class feats/abilities) AND five feats from Hit Dice. Listed, awaiting approval. Not sure if the "Dragonomicon Manual" is being allowed.

Also remember you've got 6 + INT bonus + fav class bonus SP/level.*noted* and not even looked at skills yet V_V

I again apologize for the haste with which I have thrown a post into the thread. Have just finished twelve days of work, with only three days of rest spread through them. V_V Just wanting to show I am keen to join/help out. *bows*
