Note: unlike Krixus Shathash's thoughts stay inside his head :)
The best course would be to assign the money as a bounty on the survivor's heads. They will then have a reason to ensure I survive.

The thought is lightning quick, a moment of brilliance... and then an intrusion.

Telepathy? I had best control my thoughts.

Soru: yeah, trying to do a creature of intellect is ending me up at the tropes used in sci-fi robots. The Primary Goal thing is making me think of terminators from Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Suggestions?

It is to be preferred that no-one is aware that Shathash is twice-born.

The destruction of those aware of Shathash's state is to be desired. Exceptions can be made, as cooperation is an easy and powerful way to acquire power via allies towards the fulfillment of the Primary Goal.

The problem is threefold

  • (A) those who regard free-willed undead as an abomination will attempt destruction, which will render the Primary Goal achievable.
  • (B) those who truck with the twice-born may well have the ability to command them and currently resistance is minimal. Shathash is a 1st level necromancer's ideal thrall. This will risk existence and definitely cause a delay in fulfilment of the Primary Goal.
  • (C) the existence of (A) and (B) means that information about Shathash's state is a valuable commodity, biasing neutrals towards treachery.

Okay, so I've gone and made two avatars.
Shathash, and Shathash Unmasked.

The vast majority of the time Shathash is in masked mode. He pretends to be a horribly burned, drunken/addict half-orc necromantic caster of very dubious personal grooming.

Shathash unmasked is a cold, meticulous plotter.

I'm guessing most people are not going to know Shathash unmasked. If there is someone who would be comfortable hanging around with an undead then tell me!

Otherwise Shathash is mostly going to pretend to be that drunken caster I mentioned above.

He needs cash at the moment and will take jobs for that reason.
He's very gullible (doesn't understand emotions) and would be very happy to hang out with those who are good with people.

Krixus: Shathash actually speaks quite passable orcish. Interested in a "half-orc" workmate? He's weak for a half-orc, but tough - and he's got magic when you need it.
