Scarab Sages 1/5

Thanks for your response Robert.
Just had me thinking it was an error and the system was not distinguishing between core and non-core.

I'll carry on :)

Scarab Sages 1/5

After I reported my game for #3-23 for core, it said I had already played that adventure at a past event. While this is true, it was previously run as non-core (in December). I will count the prestige that I should be awarded, but the site will not match my records. Hope this does not cause any problems in the future.

Thanks,
Shane

What about the part of Jester's Jaunt that says:
he destination must be on solid ground, and the teleportation cannot end in a space that is by nature hazardous to the creature you are teleporting.

Does this mean I couldn't tp an ally behind a target to set up flanking? Or does it mean I can't tp the creature to a natural hazard?

I have 1 more question for this scenario,

Spoiler:

This is in regards to the yeti(s). I thought frightful gaze was just something that happened. Where any creature within 30' had to make a save every round or be paralyzed (until they make a save). From what I'm interpreting, the gaze is a standard action (I'm guessing to all creatures in 30', but could also be interpreted as 1 creature in 30').

The wording in During Combat supports the std. action theory, where he starts combat with the gaze then rages and charges.

Is there a reason that he doesn't look at PCs while fighting? I'll be running this Saturday and just want to make sure its prepped. Thank you!

I guess what I'm looking for is the answer to: Is frightful gaze a standard action, and how many people does it affect if so?

Thanks for the above answer Conman.

I am guessing most of the PCs reside closer to sea level, so doing strenuous activity at higher elevation would be tougher. I would have to agree that 5k feet is pretty low to start making fort saves after 1 hour, but oh well, those are the rules!

Spoiler:

I'm new to running, and especially high altitude rules. If they become fatigued, do they still need to make fortitude saves every hour? If so and they fail, do they become exhausted? Or is it once somebody is fatigued, that's where it ends unless they rage. (I'm unaware at any other normal actions that cause fatigue).

Thanks in advance.

I'm running this and we're about to start the 3rd exploration in book 1. So far it hasn't been a disappointment. We have all hybrid classes playing (Investigator, Warpriest, Arcanist, Bloodrager). Since the warpriest is a follower of Pharasma, it gives two of the PCs a very good look into the history of the sites. Then, it has some fun skirmishes for the more combat oriented characters.

I threw in a loop before they set out with the exploration, to be "sponsored" by a human who runs a store called Johnson's General Goods. He told them that if he used his store name as their party name (when signing up with the Church), he would give them a wand of cure light.

It was designed to help them get started, but has really turned into a fun point of contact in the city. He's well connected with other merchants, knows the history of the event, and can help them with things when they get stuck. The character Johnson has really helped keep things moving.

I'm looking forward to the 3rd exploration, because I'm hoping they'll get a taste of what the event is really like. So far it was a simple tomb exploration, then a site with a little more danger, and now it steps it up one more time.

This may seem like a simple question, but I'd like to have a definite answer before I begin using this ability.

From the Field Agent prestige class, I chose 'silence' for my wayfinder upgrade. My initial thought is it will last for 1 round, because I have 1 level in Field Agent. I was hoping to see (like the other upgrades) a description something similar to: "treat this spell as a caster level equal to your field agent class levels."

The thing that seems odd to me is that it's a 2nd level spell, so usually you'd have 3 rounds the first time you can cast it (or cast from a scroll).

Synopsis: Do I only count Field Agent levels towards this wayfinder upgrade, or do I count all character levels?

This is a Pathfinder Society character.

Thanks in advance for any help.
