Liberty's Edge

Shalla begins to cough from down a short dead-end passage leading off the chamber, emerging back to the group she shudders, "it stinks of dark energies back there," she complains, shaking her head in an attempt to rid herself of the sensation, "unless it is cleansed there is no telling what it might lead to."

Any chance this might lead to an assist from Thovar?

With that, Tambric moves down the corridor and retrieves a scroll case, from within, he reads out a complex series of chants.

Knowledge(religion) 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Liberty's Edge

Shalla watches Miregold silently for a moment, then begins to sniff around the underground chamber.

Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29

Everyone take 3d6 damage Reflex DC 13 for 1/2 (Marianna and Skeldon are shielded by the contraption)

Ha! You guys are lucky!

Extremely! That could've turned out very badly... I'm noticing a theme in this adventure for large amounts of damage!

Reflex saves
Tambric 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Shalla 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Shalla leaps off the burning corpse in an impressive display of feline agility, landing a few feet away and managing to avoid the brunt of the blast. Tambric meanwhile throws himself against the wall to shield himself from the flames.

I'd be happy to RP the conclusion, though we do seem a little thin on numbers. What does everyone else think?

Liberty's Edge

Sense Motive 1d20 ⇒ 6

Sensing weakness (and not much else,) in her foe, Shalla launches herself viciously for the man's throat, still thirsty for the blood of the one who wounded her so badly.

Bite 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5, 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Talon 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Talon 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23*, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

*another confirmation roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Liberty's Edge

Shalla lets out a shriek of pain as the blade pierces her flank, though thanks to Tambric's sacrifice, she manages to hold onto her physical manifestation long enough to lash out at her assailant.
Bite 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16, 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5, 1d100 ⇒ 13.(Miss)
Talon 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23*, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6, 1d100 ⇒ 83.(hit)
Talon 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5, 1d100 ⇒ 84.(hit?)
* Confirmation 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

After letting out a low growl of satisfaction as her talon sinks into the unseen foe, Shalla sighs a heavy breath.

Edit: Though I guess this might be affected by the poison, Fort save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Liberty's Edge

With an angry hiss, Shalla shifts her head from side to side in an effort to discern where the rag-decked man had moved to, Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14, and digs her talons into the ground in readiness to bite at him should he draw close. Readied bite 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16, 1d100 ⇒ 6 (miss), 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Liberty's Edge

Shalla prowls into the room, peering around intently in an effort to locate the hidden creature moving unseen through the clutter. The feathers on the back of her neck ruffle in tension, and the red glow upo her forehead pulses in an increasingly rapid rhythm. Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

"Can you get the poor man off of that thing, Thovar?" she asks back to the cleric in a strained voice.

Liberty's Edge

Shalla Digs her rear claws into the floor of the boat, and latches onto the side with her talons before taking the rope in her powerful beak and attempting to pull the gondola towards the others, but fails to get enough grip.

Str 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Liberty's Edge

Shalla sniffs suspiciously at the gondola, prodding it with a talon before climbing after the Chelish sorcerer, soon followed by Tambric.

Liberty's Edge

Shalla lashes out with a flurry of talons and beak,

Bite 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14, 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Claw 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Claw 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Liberty's Edge

Shalla twists about to face the treacherous man who has turned on them, and launches her powerful body onto an intervening desk and brings her sharp beak down in an ineffective effort to tear at his flesh. Move to L11 and Bite 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7, 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3.

Liberty's Edge

"Hmm," the white feathered eidolon muses, looking back into the room at the rest of the group, "I think there is someone behind this door... though whoever it is sounds a little frantic."

Liberty's Edge

"That was unpleasant," Shalla says, looking down at the remains of the doll before turning her head to Levistus. "Are you alright?" She asks the sorcerer in an embarrassed tone, "I didn't mean to be so rough, but I didn't want to find out what would happen if you played that organ."

With that, she sniffs at the pile of rags on the bench, poking at them gingerly with a claw. Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

Liberty's Edge

Fenna prowls menacingly around the doll, lashing out at it with each of her claws before following with a vicious bite from her razor sharp beak.

5' ste, flanking with Olo if possible (I'll not include the bonus in case it isn't available), full attack: claw 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6, claw 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4, 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4, bite 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21, 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8.

Liberty's Edge

oops, I figured that she was casting defensively.

Shalla lashes out with her beak at the doll, trying to tear it away from Levistus, 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15, 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8.

Even so, inflict serious wounds at tier 1-2, that's pretty scary!

Liberty's Edge

Seeing the gleeful reaction of the doll at Levistus' preparations to play, Shalla rushes forwards to barge the sorcerer away from the organ. "I doubt that would be advisable!" she says urgently as she rams into his side.

Bull Rush 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Liberty's Edge

Would it be possible to jump high enough to reach it?

Liberty's Edge

Shalla prowls into the room, the blood red symbol on her forehead flaring in agitation. "The doll at the organ! It moves!" she lets out in a low hiss and lowers on her haunches, ready to pounce.

Where's Shalla when you need her?

She's out in the room with four doors... if you want her to look for something you only need to ask.

Liberty's Edge

"I don't hear anything through here... should we move on? Or do you think we should take a different door first?"

Liberty's Edge

Shalla move to the bottom of the stairs and looks with concern at the pool of blood seeping beneath the door. Moving over to it quietly, she hunches over to listen for any signs of movement beyond.

Stealth 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13, Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Liberty's Edge

Moving down the stairs surprisingly quietly, Shalla peers around th corner before speaking softly to Olo, "Maybe we should take it down and help it, it doesn't seem to be in any condition to threaten us, even if it is hostile."
Stealth (take 10)10 + 7 = 17

Liberty's Edge

The eagle-headed feline moves quietly to Marianna's side, then raises a talon to point to a faint mark on the side of the keyhole, "did you make this?" she asks in a whispered tone, before leaning in to sniff, "it smells recent."

Liberty's Edge

"Someone is home," Shalla observes, nodding her head towards one of the heavily draped windows, "and they know we are here."

itsgottabeodin:
It's exactly the same as an actual griffon. ;)

Liberty's Edge

Shalla bends her taloned fore-legs in what might pass for a bow or curtsy. "Thank you, it is very generous of you to make accommodations at short notice. she speaks, with the hint of a smile in her voice, Though I am not exactly a griffon," she turns her head to look across her back, "I have yet to earn my wings."

Looking back at the halfing, she questions him with a less jovial tone, "Is this Thesing Umbero Ulvauno familiar to you?"

Liberty's Edge

"A shame," a feminine voice comes in response from the beaked mouth of the eagle headed Shalla, "I was quite looking forward to witnessing a mortal performance."
She turns her head to the stranger who provided the tickets, "who is expected to sing tonight?"
