Thoku, life is a difficult path strewn with many a disembodied corpse, eviscerated prisoner and manhood-less vassal. It is at times like these that we are reminded that it behooves one to act with the callous disregard for system or habit that makes weaklings of the lesser races. Orcs ferocity is granted by the showing of might as much as the act itself.

Worthy is as worthy does, and afterwards the breezes blow cold through their empty ribs while they do the pike-dance.

Looks like we the beginnings of vassals here. Shakraal suggests we take all the chattel (human slaves) to sell and prizes (orcs) to keep as nucleus of new tribemembers.

Our deeds should attract all the outliers and unwanteds from the other tribes. We should be careful and vet these lest we end up with an outcast and unruly tribe.

Any chance we can flay/skin Gurtru's and Shrogkar's heads (after interrogation of course, or, as part of...) and keep/gain the tattoo magic that way? Otherwise we use the transfer tattoo magic spell?

2nd level? Barbarian here I come. Suggestions for archetypes anyone? Unchsined Barbarian? I'm already torn enuff wanting to be 2nd level Witch and getting Fortune Hex, but I really like the HP, armor and rage...

Seeing as we have Choot and his undead companion, AND Thoku being originally from the Defiled Corpse….that seems the way to go.

Shakraal's head angles ever so slightly as Thoku speaks. Her eyes narrow as if she has encountered something...wrong.

"Brave Thoku. You speak of Kern and I joining you. Is this to be your tribe? Why should it not be couched as you joining mine? Or Kern's, or Hakak's, or Kraq's? Are you to be chief? By what right? Might? Blood?"

Shakraal looks to each in turn.

"We are a good unit, a squad perhaps, but a true tribe respects more than just physical primacy or the dark arts. Do not mistake my desire to form a new tribe as a desire to replace one serfdom with another. And before you ask, no, I do not seek to be the chief. But if I am to be then so be it."

Shakraal knows she is preching revolutionary concepts, but her mind is bent toward a new age, where orcs leave behind the vestiges of their primitive ways.

No problems Thoku. And don't doubt that if it coms to it, Shakraal will support you as the chief - you are easily the biggest, meanest and maddest of our bunch. But if we are to claim legitimacy before the other tribes, and avoid their constant attention we needs must make a show of following the old ways, as Kern says. f we had a band of a thousand warriors, and a hold to call our own - then perhaps we could dispense with hidebound ways. With that Shakraal stares into the fire.

Angered by her failure to sway the cannibal, Shakraal considers a stoic silence, but the piercing in her leg weeps blood yet. She smears a little on Thoku.

"By this I honor thee Thoku. [here turns to the necrorcmancer] Choot. I am…also…injured."

Shakraal cradles her mask, and uses her falchion to ease herself to a kneeling position. Shakraal eyes the small tidbits of the grisly remains of their attackers.

"We can also bring dishonor to the Twisted Nail by proving they broke the Flood Truce. If we initiate a true tribe, we may gain adherents from them, as well as others who wish to band with us."

Awesome description Dragon. And then Hakak has to equal it with some simple mortuary-castration-petfood. This campaign is awe-ful!

Shakraal limps over to the cannibal, favoring her leg and leaning on her overlarge falchion. She eyes the captive warrior's steaming body with much pleasure. Though he fought her tribe, he has taken his suffering with great fortitude, and the sight of his pulsing sinew and musculature excites her.

The wyrdcaster hunches down next to the prisoner, and runs a sharp talon shaped gauntleted fingernail down the hulk's skull, tracing the passage of melted bronze. The dreadmasque lifts, and the horrid wilting eye of potent doom slips open, blinking twice oozily before settling its baleful gaze on the unfortunate with a deep stare. Shakraal closes her two eyes as she whispers into the mewling and whining cannibal's ear.

"Tell us that which we wish to know. And perhaps you will live. [Here Shakraal grabs the prisoner's head to force its eyes to watch Hakak's handiwork with scythe'n'balls and Fleshripper's gulpy-gulpy, while her other hand clutches the victim's own manhood for effect] With your manhood." Shakrall graces the cannibal with a grisly smile.

Perhaps her injuries impair her purpose, or her lust addles her. Regardless, the effect is not that which she hopes for.

The wyrdwarrior stoops as she removes her hideous mask, and rubs her jaw. She sighs.

"Let us sleep, either with our tribes or together, as the nucleus of a new tribe. By tomorrow's end we should have a legion of ardent adulation. And many enemies. Whither you go, sleep with One. Eye. Open." Shakraal opens her third eye to emphasise her point.

@Also a bit confused on the terminology. I've got 8 Fame, but got two consecutive bonuses of "+2 to next trial" - one from the Trial of the Word Hoard, which I used in the Trial of Thunder, which netted me the second bonus of +2 to my next trial… I thought Fame was distinct from the Trials…?!?!?

@Kraq - If you are fine with the double axe then Shakraal will take the Large mwk falchion…Which leaves a regular mwk falchion she got from the first trial for party loot…

@Kraq - Hmm, just had a look - Kern already has a mwk chain shirt, but not a mwk double axe - and that is his current weapon type. Looks like it might be better if you take the mwk Large falchion, Kern takes the mwk double axe, and Thoku and I take one of the mwk chain shirt or mwk greataxe as…prizes.

I have the giant blooded campaign trait that drops the penalty to -1. Thus I carry the Large falchion all the time. I guess I could just take the "small" one, but then I don't get the Large damage when ensmalleratedenerised.

Truth be told, Shakraal is almost a carbon copy of Quiet Crocus a forest tribe scarred witch doctor that was taken by slaveraider drow and forced to coompete in a lurid, adults only, sex cults and bloodthirsty drow society gladiator PbP. Easily one of the most fun PbP's I've ever been in. Sadly the GM was an emotional tyrant and the players the biggest bunch of power-meta-gaming second guessers I've ever come across. I'm an old school grognard - I expect to face unfair fights, get killed and find seven +5 swords I can't use or nothing at all. And that's ok, coz I'm an adventurer in a world of causality, not a team player in a teamsport that is "balanced".

I seriously entice all interested to read the game Quiet Crocus was in. The battles were harsh, if a little handwavy (I didn't even make some of my combat rolls, but was told about them by the GM) and the between battles scenes priceless. And like all good PbP's it died mysteriously after way too few posts. The GM even disappeared in a huffy dudgeon before coming back al passive aggressive, before disappearing again. The player/GM interactions are almost as priceless as the game itself...
