Baka frowns and covers his head squinting at the light as the knocks at his small shack's door becomes more persistent.

"Okay! Okay! I'll be out in 5".

He swings his feet off the bed... the unfortunate tase of last night's excess foul in his mouth. He rises and rubs his eyes before splashing yesterday's water on his face and slicking down his hair. He then steps out the back entrance and relieves himself on the back of the shack before walking around to meet his landlord who stands patiently (Sort of) waiting.

Sounds good. I think maybe Quink could have been the person Baka's family both sold items to and received clues about finding other artifacts. Since Baka knew him from past excursions with the family it was natural for him to contact Quink to sell a few minor artifacts he had found on his way to Sandpoint. When Quink comes across clues about artifacts Baka is one of the first he contacts. Mainly lower-level missions at the moment until Baka proves himself. Perhaps Quink put Baka up in his Gardners shack for now really cheap, but so far Baka has found too many things he likes to put aside any money. Just Yesterday Quink paid him for some broken rocks with ancient glyphs he had found, but he spent the money on ale and a new book for his small collection... so of course he's broke again.

Baka's family moved to the area NE of Riddleport to investigate rumors of some ancient ruins, and to get away from the turmoil among the Varisian groups, but he stayed behind to make his own way.

Baka is mostly finished. I had correctly set up his "About" profile but accidently copy pasted over it. I'll straighten it out later.

I read the campaign yesterday and since Baka and Family were originally part of a Varisian troop perhaps he originally went with the "Misguided" group because they were more exciting... but then changed his mind when he witnessed what they were doing. He's been in Sandpoint laying low for a while now but might have witnessed Neppka's arrival. I'm thinking he might have a Dwarven contact that he uses as a fence or mission provider for things he needs to find. Perhaps the rumors of this Gem were what led him to the rogue faction originally?

I've never played a rogue in PF2e. let me throw something together really quick and see what evolves.

Baka's family for some strange reason was adopted by a band of travelling Varsians and basically became one though they were orcs. He always had a fascination with finding old things and trying to figure out what they did. In fact, his whole family dealt in found artifacts always trading and looking for them. After learning much of his trade from family he decided that looking for these items was much more fulfilling to him than trying to trade and sell them. At least he knows where he can get rid of some of these items.

It is with regret and sadness that I'm going to step away from these boards for a while. It's a combination of many things, and the frustration with the board performance just pushed me to do what needed doing. I've got some things that are taking a higher priority in life at the moment. It's been a real pleasure gaming with you all, and hopefully life will give an opportunity to share this hobby we all love in the future...

Baka trudges slowly into Trunau wrinkling his nose at the smell of civilization. He had stayed outside the town the evening before, to take advantage of one final night in the glorious wild. He had finally gotten to the point that a few stares and open mouths didn't bother him. They weren't being rude... well maybe just a little... they'd just never seen a giant bipedal walking turtle man before. He made sure to smile at everyone as he passed, hoping it wasn't mistaken for a grimace, and made his way to the Santuary. Might as well get this part of the assignment over with.
