Tanis is the supreme high answerer to all things OP, but in general you should expect to go through one scenario. Due to the nature of conventions there's a few minutes for setup, muster, and results, and tables often end up with more players, so it'd be pretty trick to do speed runs.

I suspect the Adventure 3 stuff is more geared for those playing SotR at Paizocon, Origins, stores, and/or the truly dedicated who are playing it non-stop the whole convention. If you're relatively new to it, Adventure 1 is probably the most valuable / best bet.

I wish they explained that in the description under the event for Gen Con. Perhaps a warning that Adventure 3 is for experienced characters only, or characters of Tier 2 or higher, like they do with RPG stuff (this adventure is for levels 5-10, for example).

Now I either get at least 2 more slots in prior to adventure 3 or be forced to play a pregen when I only want one character....

After you play four scenarios with a character, that character can advance a tier. If you complete an adventure with a character, the character must advance a tier.

So if you play all of adventure 1 with your Tier 1 character, the character will be Tier 2 at the end of adventure 1. And so on.

You shouldn't have a problem as long as you use the same character.

Right, thanks.

I guess the next question would be in that 2 hour block, how many scenarios would my character conceivably go through?

Or put in another way, if I get two scenarios in one 2 hour block, would that mean I need to sign up for 2 of the Adventure 1 to get the four I need to advance?

Just trying to figure out how many tickets I'll need.

As an addition to Stormforge, I have a few questions about playing organized at Gencon. As this is the first time I'll be playing PACG organized.

If I'm reading them right, I can't actually make a character and play it using only those three adventures, right?

I'm signed up for the same three he is, but according to that rules document I downloaded I'd need to be at least tier 2 to play in Adventure 3. Is that correct?

Furthermore, my understanding is by just playing the first two won't be enough to get me to Tier 2 to make me legal to play that 3rd adventure.

So I guess my question is.... Should I sign up for more of Adventure 1? Gen Con has them listed in 2 hour blocks, is that time enough to get 2 scenarios in or is it just one?

If someone could please shed some light on this I would really appreciate it.
