So nobody has anything to add about this?

Ok so the ectoplasmic form of the phantom is easy enough to understand , but the incorporeal one brings questions to me.

First , i assume you cant flank while your phantom is in incorporeal form since the phantom cant attack the enemy and thus doesnt threaten him?

Now , when it comes to aid another , can a phantom in incorporeal form do it?

And a bonus question , how does a incorporeal phantom and magic items work? Can he equip them normally , cant he?

Quote:
Fully manifested phantoms can wear armor and use items (though not wield weapons) appropriate to their forms. Any items worn, carried, or held by a phantom are dropped when the phantom returns to the spiritualist’s consciousness, and must be retrieved and donned anew if the phantom wishes to use them when it fully manifests in the future.

That part makes me wonder if there is a trick to this or not.

All i got from this is that , it can use items , since incorporeal is a kind of full manifestation and that killing a phantom wont make him drop anything , since he is tossed back into the other plane , not brought back to the spiritualists mind.

Sorry i actually mean the say the atk penalty , not BAB.

More like:

And you only count the size once , so it gives +1 CMB and the -1 penalty only counts for atks not maneuvers.

Thanks again for answering.

Ic , thank you for the help guys.

If you can do it with your weapon , its bonus enter , if you cant , then any bonus the weapon got stays out , but other bonus like flanking still counts.

And you only count the size once , so it gives +1 CMB and the BBA only counts for atks not maneuvers.

So im now trying to completely understand CMB and CMD the tricky part to me is:

Add any bonuses you currently have on attack rolls due to spells, feats, and other effects. These bonuses must be applicable to the weapon or attack used to perform the maneuver

So ok:

1) I understand that things like a weapon +1 enter in the CMB if you are using the weapon in the maneuver, but does the MW +1 also counts?

2) Just confirming but flanking and such bonus enter in it or only if you have a feat that changes the bonus?

3) What bonus doesnt count when making this check , anyone got examples?

Lets say i have a fighter lv1 , Str 18 and got Combat Expertise and Improved Trip.

4) Lets say a wizard cast enlarge person or i use a potion , my CMB would be:

1(BBA)+5(Str)+2(improved trip)-1(enlarge person atk penalty)+1(enlarge person size bonus) = 8.

Is that right?

5) Just confirming this also , but you dont actually need a weapon with the property to get the bonus on the maneuver right? Even without a weapon with trip i can still get the same bonus on the CMB , but the weapon with trip offer the advantedge that you drop it instead of falling prone?
