Sorry to slow things down there at the end - busy the last few days with the holiday weekend.

Shaan gets uncharacteristically misty-eyed seeing the two old friends reunited across the chasm of time. "Well it ain't often that a fighting fellow like myself gets to see a nice ole happy ending. It warms me cold-blooded heart."

Thanks for running, GM! This was really fun, especially as a follow up to the Pathfinder special - I hope they do more specials that tie the two campaigns together.

With a night's rest, Shaan recovers his 1 spent Resolve as well as the 4 remaining hp that he was still down - back to full health.

Having already used his only healing resources after the deadly fight earlier, Shaan appreciatively tucks away one of the serums of healing.

"I'll take the grenades if no one else has any use for 'em. I tend to like to run on into battle but I guess that last fight showed me that's not always the wisest approach!"

He looks at the primitive weapons with studied interest. "Fascinating to think that soldiers used to have to rely on such tools..."

Sorry for the posting delay - work has been hectic this week.

So I'm a little vague about how healing works in Starfinder. Shaan is currently down all his Stamina (0/36) and he's got 11 out of 34 hp. I think I can spend 1 Resolve to restore Stamina (how much? All of it? or some variable amount?) which I'll definitely do. For hp, it looks like all I have are two Mk 1 Serum of Healing (1d8 hp each). I'll take those but are there other healing resources we have available? I'm a little unclear how this works - in PF1 we would just be passing around the happy stick at this point but I don't think there's anything comparable in SF? And this is the first time that Shaan has been beat up enough to get into his hp in any significant way!

Moaning and groaning from his wounds, Shaan chugs down two healing serum.

Also spend 1 Resolve to restore X Stamina, leaving Shaan at ?/36 Stamina and 18/34 hp

While he is recovering, Shaan directs his (Elite) hireling to assist the rest of the group. The only one of this skills that I have is Mysticism +10 from the elite hireling.

I'm having trouble making sense of all the arrows on the map. Are Green and Red still standing just next to Shaan or have they been carried off? If the latter, Shaan will use a move action to follow and then attack. Otherwise just attack

Shaan advances forward, unslinging a bulky cannon as he does, and then shoots out a blast of sound at the nearest enemies.

First, is Starfinder like Pathfinder 1e in allowing me to combine drawing a weapon as part of a move action (as long as I have a BAB of at least +1)? If not, this won't work.

Second, this is the first time I've actually used this weapon (I purchased it at the advice of a friend but soon discovered that Shaan is really best at melee) so it's possible that I'm interpreting its usage incorrectly.

The harmonic dirge cannon has the antibiological property - it only affects living targets - from the description it sounds like there's a chance that these guys might be living? But if they are straight up robots then ignore everything - it has no effect. From the picture they look robot-ish but from the description it sounds like they might be a little bit alive-ish? Anyway, Shaan doesn't have the skills to know.

The dirge cannon also has the blast property with a range of 20'. I think that means the cone will hit Red and Blue but Green is unaffected. As I understand it, I roll the attack separately for each target (with a -2 penalty) but just roll the dmg once and apply the same dmg to everyone it hits.

The assistant steps forward a half-step, or perhaps a bit less, and rather nervously tries to explain the Starfinder Society's interest in advancing the purest lines of scientific inquiry.

A burly Vesk enters next and greets the other members of the team. "Shaan, Shaan Poloo's the name. Simple name fer a simple fella. Least that's what mama always said... Not too sure what she meant by that anyhow..." He shakes his head quizzically before turning his attention to the mission at hand.

Shaan carries little besides a battered and well-used doshko and a cannon that looks like is may still be in its shrink wrap.

I have a single SFS character and he has received these two boons from chronicle sheets:

Morlamaw Admittance:

...You can use this boon only if your character has a Reputation Tier of 3 with the Wayfinders... You can play a Morlamaw character, beginning at 1st level as normal...

Scoured Stars Veteran:

...You can start a new character who begins at 2nd level...

Some questions:

1. Can I use both of these on the same character, to have a Morlamaw who begins at 2nd level?

2. My PC #1 has not quite reached tier 3 with the Wayfinders yet, so the first boon can't be applied yet. I'm waiting to start character #2 until I can apply this racial boon. If I play the skittermander series at a con in a couple of weeks (using those scenarios' pregens), can I apply the chronicles from those scenarios to the as-yet uncreated level 2 Morlamaw?

I think Alejandro's Inspiring Boost should have restored 10 SP to Shaan (leaving him at 17/18 SP), in which case the latest attack would leave Shaan at 8/18 SP, 20/20 HP. Or did I miss something?

Shaan looks puzzled. "If the ghost is trapped inside the suit of armor by a force shield... who trapped it there? And where are they!?! Maybe there's someone else on this ship, even tougher than a ghost!"

Regardless, Shaan gathers the items from the compartment and brings them to the doorway to show his companions. "What do you think? If these are sufficient then I guess we can just leave, though I agree with Prim about not wanting to leave the ghost undefeated to harm others in the future..."

Shaan will go either way but if a tie breaker is needed he'll vote to fight it. Though I'm not sure we even know that the ghost is in the armor and being kept there by the force shield.

Shaan glances back at the armor. "Is that force shield keeping something inside it? Or giving additional defense to whoever wears it? Because if it's trapped there by the battery, I expect that when the storm hits the ship it may break loose. And come find us on OUR ship!"

If it seems like it will take 10 minutes for the others to investigate the computers, Shaan will spend 1 Resolve to recover all his Stamina.

Also, incidentally, my Resolve as listed in my tagline was incorrect - I should have 5, not 4.

Shaan wheezes slightly as he catches his breath and bends over to retrieve the dropped force baton. "Well, and here I was expecting a ghost, not some creepy space insect!"

Seeing that the creature seems to be made of flesh and blood, Shaan drops the force baton, draws his doshko, and then tries to bash its brains out. If it has brains.

I assume that, like PF, it's a free action to drop and a move action to draw, and neither provokes?

Uh oh. Are there any options for rerolls, like there are in Pathfinder Society? Or can I use Resolve for anything useful here?

Also, does 4/18 SP mean that I have 4 SP remaining? Or that I've taken 4 SP dmg?

Also, is this thing incorporeal?

If a tshirt reroll is an SFS option:
