My question relates to my recent draw from the Harrow Deck of Many Things.
I drew the Rakshasa, which apparently turns me into a random animal for one hour if I lie with the intent of deceiving , but not to intentionally initiate the effect.
Long story short, my character forgot about this, lied for the purposes of deception and my gm reminded me of the card. Our group is fairly new as is the gm and basically our question is this: as a random animal, does that mean I could become a magical animal who theoretically could be both intelligent and sentient (essentially already under the influence of the awaken spell), or do I simply become just a random dumb animal. Also our group focuses more on the Roleplaying aspect so am I now just a neutral animal that just reacts to the world like a deer in the woods? Am I still loyal to my group even if I’m not sentient or intelligent? Do I become hostile / indifferent towards the group / adventure for an entire hour?
I am open to and highly appreciative of the boards’ input.
