Now fully protected, Serael heads in the direction that is left, to the building she hasn't visited yet to the west.

Serael jumps out of the way but is still scratched by the torn wood that composes the creatures' body. Summer deftly flies out of the way, unscathed, but Boris and Horns are trampled. Summer's Evasion makes him not get hit at all. Boris' current HP: 16 / Horns' Current HP: 16. Serael moves back, finally drawing her bow and letting loose against the treant. Serael uses her Move Action to Study Target, 5-ft. steps back and uses her standard action to fire three times with Barrage, spending her Martial Focus and a fourth shot with -5 due to shortbow mastery. Serael is going to take a 5-ft. step back, use her move action to gain Energy Enhancement (enhance) and use it, as a standard action with Mass Enhance (-2 sp) to grant the Flaming ability to herself and all animal companions. Boris, Summer and Horns were all 5ft. behind her. Two of them will be able to 5ft. step forward and full attack while one will have to move the long way around and do one attack. It is a continuously acting magic device. Just one crack in my protections and... I'm assuming having the Protection Sphere is enough to use the scroll without rolling! She waves her hand to nobody, trying to dispell her own thoughts. She concentrates on her own powers, granting herself flight and plunges down the Pit! Actibvated Flight Hex. I have 2 minutes of flight. She dives down the pit, arriving within seconds, but feels the pull. Round 1, going down: Fortitude Save, Greater Age Resistance: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (14) + 18 = 32
I rolled really well, so I'm assuming these two saves pass! The crushing magical force is unlike anything Serael had ever felt. It was like time was attempting to tear at her and it would be a miracle to survive with one's own mind intact. Round 2, searching: She desperately started searching, but it was hard to concentrate on it while also focusing one's mind to not lose yourself to the Pit's magic. She sees her ring, made of Summer and Winter, lose its light, as she is completely depleted of her magic. It is now or never. She stays where she is and orders her animals to attack, staying behind getting her bow back in position to fire at the hulking cold creature trampling over them again and again. Serael uses her standard action to use Mass Healing (mass), using her last 2 sp. She stays where she is and all the animals charge at the creature after being healed. The healing is empowered by Restore Senses, taken using Spiritualism a few rounds back. Thankfully he had missed her in his last attack and Summer only slightly grazed. Summer's current HP: 36 (1 nonlethal) "Everyone, to me!" All the companions immediately move to Serael, forming a barrier between her and the Svathurim. She concentrates on the powers bestowed by the spirits she connected mid-battle and engulfs her bow and her companions'fangs and horns in flames. Serael will 5 ft. step back if possible and await her companions. They all move adjascent to her, forming a line between her and the Svathurim, as mentioned. Summer will trigger an AoO from the Svathurim (and maybe the others depending on his reach, I suppose). Horns will need to use his standard action to move and Boris probably. Regardless, he won't be in melee range of the Svaturim to attack. When they are all within touch distance, Serael will use Mass Enhancement for the Energy Enhancement (enhance) she got using Spiritualism to make their weapons Flaming (-2 sp). (Spell Points remaining: 2) Since it's only one weapon, it'll be Serael's +1 Holy Shortbow, Summer's Bite, Boris' Bite and Horns' Gore. And, to clarify, would these weapons deal an extra 1d6+4 fire damage? 1d6 for the flaming enchantment and +4 because the Energy Enhancement (enhance) talent says they deal one extra elemental damage every 2 caster levels.

Standard Action to barrage, spending her newly-regained martial focus on the centaur. Summer uses Move Action to spend up, and standard action to move towards Serael (being now 60ft. away from Centaur and 10 ft. away from Seraek/Svauthurim). Boris and Horns charge at the centaur. - Evasion as a Ranger class feature, no new combat talent; - Witch gained no class features, but Spiritualism upgraded, now I can gain one sphere ability as a swift action and two as a move action; - My magic talent chosen was Deadly weapon (enhance) because DR/cold iron has really slowed me down recently (thanks for the suggestion!); - All saving throws increased by 1, due to the upgrade in the resistance bonus. - I chose the feat Shadow Strike for Serael. I do not Sneak Attack as much as I could (I keep forgetting Skirmishing attack), but might as well lessen the number of circunstances it is unusuable, specially since I assume that, like most APs, I'll start encountering many more spellcasters from this point forward; - Skill point allocation went mostly to the ones I'm fully investing in and the few extra into Knowledge (Martial) to shore it up; - Speaking of Knowledge, Winter reached 14 Int and invested his 2 points in the skills he was already fully investing; - Summer increased his DR/cold iron from 5 to 6. - Both Summer and Boris had their BAB increased and both chose the Iron Will feat, trying to shore up their weaknesses. My only question is that, according to the Conjuration sphere, Summer gets the Multiattack feat, but am I correct in the sense it does nothing for him? It lowers the penalty on secondary attacks (he has none), but since he has 3 attacks, he does not gain a new one as specified in the Multiattack feature of the Conjuration Companion, right? If everything's okay, I'll post!

There is a cancer at the womb of this statue, but is the Curse of Eons what explains the aging of the women depicted in the statues? The fatigue was catching up to Serael, almost fully expended and battered from all the fights. She was clearly being guided towards something but was unsure what that something was, or even if it were in her best intentions to follow. She goes towards the door to her left and attempts to open it, after checking for traps or any other illusions. From my perspective as a player, I mean the trap going "up" in the map. |
