an age of "i see if there are any spellcasters nearby by casting detect magic" comes to an end :)

Thank you.

ah, ok. Thx.

One further question i bother with: Can I detect a spell caster with detect magic or just the spells he or she has casted?

In this case the spell caster is a normal human magician (or likewise)

I think the spell discription doesn't say so.

but wouldnt that retrieving items, spellcasting and so on afford another action? (swift/standard/etc) which you don't get.

So i got the ultimate Magic and there are so many qestions which i can't find a clear answer about.

I start with the alchemist: There is a feat where he is able to grow a tentacle or a new hand but what can he do with this hand? It says he does not get more actions or attacks.

But he can hold something with that hand. Does that give any kind of advantage?

Second question: There is a the so called Quickening Pulse (Percussion, Wind) for the bard. it says that must throw a save (all enemies within 30 feet who can hear your performance must save)

But what kind of save? will, fortitude? I'm only sure that it isn't dex

that might seem like a stupid question but the german rules are not very clearly there. I found an entry in the english rules which was far more informativ. it says that the secondary effect applys the round after the initial effect while the initial effect (like the word says only applys once no matter how often someone is poisoned)

so if i get this right: i hurt someone with a sleeping poison. if she fails her save, she gets one CON DMG and the round thereafter if she fails again she falls to sleep?

if a poison has a second poison effect when does this second poison effect apply? (in the second round? or directly when applied?)

i don't find any rules for that second effect (like drow poison)

ok, that seems clear. So i can sunder, trip, and disarm with any of my attacks as this actions replace that attack but i could only perform one Grapple in my round as this action does not replace my normal attack and needs an standard action.

yes i mean sunder.. i mixed that up. thx. another question:
if my BAB is high enough, can i make multiple combat maneuver attempts? or has that to be the first attack i do (and the others won't happen)

After reading the FAQ i am not sure: Can i do a grapple Action with an Attack of Opportunity, like destroying a wizzards Scroll, he wants to use against me?

I know that i can trip as AOO and some other things as well..

i've asked that question before.. some time ago but i can't find the rules i am looking for to ensure it.

yes, otherwise that water you drank would only drive away your thirst for a shoooooort time and lead to a sudden death :)

but creating water seems to be a nice spell for every farmer

how are you able to ever overcome an 8 with max 3(=1,5?) points of dmg? so the dmg that overcomes the hardness does dmg to the item. I don't get your calculation, but that might be a problem of language (as i am no native speaker)

My Players wanted to open chest and other things with hired low level mages and acis splash :) nu, uh

It gets very useful for casters who otherwise are out spells.

Also great when you get captured and all your belongings are taken. At least you have something. Acid Splash has allowed us top break out of more than one jail.

you can't use acid splash to get out of jail. As it does to less of dmg to get through IRON bars and so on. it does 1d3 dmg as far as i know. it cannot crit vs items. so if the Item Hardpoints extend your dmg, you cannot destroy them..

so the spell couldn't be spoken and the magic is avoided? Like i thought but i was not sure

Another question that suddenly appeared: Can i destroy a scroll or a divine item with an attack of opportunity - combat manuever before the spell is spoken?

No, english ist not my first language but i am lucky that i do understand all the things you wrote (just lacking in writing stuff down)

i try to rewrite the things that might be confusing.

My Problems in that Hide and Perception rule was that this rule is missing in the german guide: The exact passage:

Breaking Stealth: When you start your turn using Stealth, you can leave cover or concealment and remain unobserved as long as you succeed at a Stealth check and end your turn in cover or concealment. Your Stealth immediately ends after you make and attack roll, whether or not the attack is successful (except when sniping as noted below).

is not in the german rules.

so my question: Does my hidden char automatically appear if he can't get to a cover or concealment?

And as far as i use it a stealthed Charakter gets the same modifiers like a invisible charakter: so +2 while the attacked loses his modifier on his DEX. Is that right or do you handle that different?

What i meant with roll all dices automatically was: If a stealthed Charakter sneaks upon the heroes every single heroe get an perception role, which lowers the chance to get near to them.

So if i got you right Claxon a sneaky charakter has to make an hide roll every round, while all the PCs do a perception role. And if i get the text right the sneaky char has also to end his turn in a cover or concealment because otherwise he unhides. (if he doesn't have also invisibility)

so, a few questions.

I do house rule a few things, but i want to know, how they actually are.
Like this: The text says that if you want to realize your surroundings, perception is a moving action. So i say that people have to activly search for hidden rouges infight. Otherwise its almost impossible to sneak to a group if they all roll dices automatically together, without having to say so. So, what is right?

Also, i treat a sneaking rouge just as he was invesible when it comes to boni. So she or he gets +2 on attack roles and and the targets lose their DEX boni on their AC, so the rogue kann use the sneak attack.

Prepare ACtion: i handle it so that you can't prepare to attack an invesible foe when he appears (because his invisibility fades when he attacks) because that would make a good paradoxon.. because you would strike before he is visible, which would make no sence at all... because you couldn't see him then and so your action wouldn't trigger... and.. so on
