"Q: Do you agree with the general direction Ryan set for the game?
In all my years of supporting Paizo, the one thing that put them above every other company was their ability to adapt (closely related to their amazing customer service). There are TONS of people begging for a good MMO right now. WoW is bleeding players every day. SWTOR is a substandard game kept alive only because of the name on the box and the reputation of the publisher. No other true MMO even compares, but for the first time I've ever seen stubbornness is winning out at Paizo (Goblinworks). Ryan Dancey once made the comment that he was confident 90% of the people who he was making PFO for would like the game. Apparently he only had a goal audience of about 20 people in mind. You're in a prime position to fix that right now. Don't just stay a failing course. Be Paizo. Adapt. I absolutely want to support this venture. In fact, I've already put too much money into it as is, but there's no way I can support the game that's been created. If there was a worse vision for a game with the Pathfinder brand attached than an EVE Online clone I don't have the imagination to think of it (and I've been playing games with my imagination for 24 years, so I'm really practiced at it). If you need inspiration for what I believe your current audience would enjoy try looking at original Ultima Online, Shadowbane, and Dungeons and Dragons Online. There's a sweet spot somewhere in between those games that would both make truckloads of money AND bring years of enjoyment to your most loyal supporters.
I received the shipping email 34 days ago, but still haven't received the package. Backstory: this has happened quite a few times now, and it's been getting more frequent. Each time I've sent an email and received a new package, but then a day or two later the original arrives as well. I'm not sure if the catch is with Paizo or the USPS, but if it's with them you should probably do something about it. I can't be the only one this happens to, and it can't be good for business (I know after five years of subscriptions it's starting to bother me just a little more than I'm willing to handle).
They took away reach from spiked chain. Step up requires being adjacent. Telekinetic charge requires being adjacent. So my question is: why do the developers hate reach weapons? Did their parents spank them with reach weapons when they were children? Are they prejudiced? Or do the developers that created step up and telekinetic charge just not understand the game well enough to properly design the rules for it?
This order is missing. The UPS tracking number says they delivered it to the post office three weeks ago. I called the post office and they said UPS only delivers to them for PO boxes (which I don't have) and they can't find it. I tried contacting UPS, but they haven't responded. Is there anything you can do to help me track this down from your end? I've been trying for a week and I'm still at a loss.
Company Name: Paragons of Righteous Odium (PRO)
Who we are: We are a military styled organization that realizes evil comes in many forms, from pure chaotic evil to lawful good tyranny. PRO is, therefore, true neutral in order to deal with all threats to the peace. PRO does not allow access to just any member. In order to maintain your status within the company you must show a commitment well beyond that of a casual player. You don't have to be the best PvPer when you join, but you have to be willing to put in the time and effort to get there. Our roots date back all the way to the original sandbox MMO: Ultima Online. We allowed our characters to become red (evil / murderer) in order to deal with people who abused the alignment system in order to grief other players. We do not know what the future holds for similar issues in Pathfinder Online, but we will be prepared to do whatever is required to even the playing field for the little people. What we do: As a military styled police force, we feel that it is our job to maintain peace and justice throughout the realms by means of force. Not everyone has the means to protect themselves. We shall step in when necessary. This is not just a company that kills evil characters. We will go after murderers, thieves, and griefers of any alignment. It has been our experience that truly evil people hide behind anything they can to shield them from justice, and we are willing to accept the consequences of rooting out even the villains who mask themselves as good. How we do it: We are anti-heroes. We will do whatever is necessary and use any means at our disposal to right wrongs. We are honorable, just, and refuse to cheat, but no legal tool is beyond our reach for bringing justice to a land full of outlaws. What to expect when dealing with us: You can expect whatever treatment you deserve. We deal with both individuals and other companies on a case by case basis. If you are a griefer, you will be griefed. If you are friendly, you can expect kindness in return. To apply: Please feel free to respond below, or send me a private message, expressing your interest in joining our company.
I've been GMing quite a bit again lately, and I have run into an issue. What would you think is the best way to handle a gunslinger who sits down at your table? Should I:
Yes, these are pretty much the only options. It's sad, but it's true. I appreciate your input.
I ordered an AP subscription last month to begin with Skull and Shackles. I listed the shipping address as Appaloosa. There was a previous order for the PF Tales subscription that the payment method had expired on. Due to this my AP didn't ship until I cancelled or changed the payment info on the Tales. After changing the Tales info it reverted the shipping address to my old address where I no longer live. According to the order history these items shipped on April 17th, but I have yet to receive them.
Comicpalooza 2012 is coming upon us fast and I will be coordinating the PFS section of it again this year. It's happening May 25th through the 27th at Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center. The tables will be posted on Warhorn next week. Until that time I'm looking for DMs and giving you a heads up to make travel arrangements. If you made it last year I'm sure you're already planning to make it this year. If you didn't make it last year you definitely don't want to miss that much fun a second year in a row! You can visit the Comicpalooza website for information or email me (demoyn35 at hotmail dot com) with any questions or DM registrations!
Hey gang. We're looking for up to three more players for a game day on Sunday, March 21st. The plan is to run #8 Slave Pits of Absalom at 10 am and #24 Decline of Glory afterwards (around 3). We'll be playing at San Jacinto central campus. If anyone is interested please email me (demoyn35@hotmail.com) or post to the clag_houston yahoogroup. -Charles Bailey
I placed an order on (I believe) December 23rd. I haven't gotten an email or package yet. Typically I get an email when the product ships, so I wanted to check on the status and possibly alter the order. I'm assuming that you can get all of my information from my message board account, as I don't know the order number.

The title is an inside joke, but the query is real. My fiance keeps telling me about her D&D miniatures tournaments she used to go to in which she used a lich queen miniature. I've been searching, but the only lich queen that I can come up with is from a recent expansion. The one she's referring to has to have been out for at least a year. Does anyone have any idea what miniature she's referring to? |
