I need to cancel the Chronicles and Companion subscriptions on my account.

I want to keep the Adventure Path subscription active, however.

Unfortunately, due to changes in bugetary concerns, I need to cancel both my Pathfinder Chronicles and Pathfinder Companion subscriptions. Please keep the Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription active, however.

Greetings,

I recieved the PDF for this when my order shipped, but I just recieved the package. Pathfinder #9 is in the envelope, but no Gazetteer.

Greetings,

I know I recently posted an issue about a similar order, and Corey kindly fixed the issue, but I'm not seeing my Pathfinder advantage in the pricing of the new order. If it's just waiting for the shipment to happen for it to be applied, cool, but I thought I should bring this to your attention, since it's also no longer showing up in the shopping cart, which it used to, and I'm wondering if the fix might have somehow broken my advantage?

Actually, Classic Monsters isn't showing up at all, although I do have a subscription to it. Did I mess up when setting up the Chronicles sub?

Sovereign Court

Well, since I can't get my email to respond or load anymore, and since I can't dial out at work:

I've updated the payment info on my subscriptions to a new card that should work and authorize correctly.

I'd also like to request that the GameMastery modules be removed from my subscription. They're great modules, but I'm not getting enough use from them for the expense.

Nevermind - just figured it out for myself. Single File version, and One File per Chapter Version.

False alarm!

Hey guys,

I know this isn't your bad (I blame the post office), but I still haven't recieved my copy of Dragon 359. I know we need to wait long enough to allow delivery, but I'm not sure what the cutoff date is. I thought I'd let y'all know that I haven't gotten it yet.

-Sean Achterman

I abhor doing this, but... bump.

Even a 'Wait till next week' would be fine.

I've got two items showing as 'Pending' in my order history - The Pathfinder Player's Guide, and D2 of the Gamemastery.

Now, I know I've chosen to hold my modules for Pathfinders, but I already recieved Pathfinder one - in fact, these look like part of the same order. I don't really want to wait until October to get the player's guide (Since I'd like to actually have it to give out physically).

Do I need to switch off the hold so they'll ship, or can I somehow get them sent out and just pay S&H this once, or is there some sort of error in my account?

Given the tone of a lot of the posts out there regarding fourth Edition, I'm finding myself cautiously optomistic regarding fourth edition. I suspect part of this is the fact that when it comes to books, I own very little beyond the core books (just Tome of Magic and the Spell Compendium), and a bunch of Paizo adventures.

Thus, I'm not out a lot of money for books, and what extra material I have isn't entirely non-convertable. (Although I'd love to see a 4th Ed take on the binder). More importantly, I've been playing this game long enough to have made FOUR transitions. (Basic to AD&D, AD&D to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, and 3.0 to 3.5). Each and every one (well, possibly aside from the first) has seen a significant step up in quality and understandability. Old classes show up as new, and the rules become clearer each step of the way.

And underneath it all? It's still the same game. Fighting monsters, saving kingdoms, piling up loot and power. Telling each other stories. I look at what the people developing the game are saying, and I find myself thinking 'dang, that's cool'. Sure, I'm nervous, and yeah, it's gonna be a pain to transition something like Burnt Offerings over into 4.0, but y'know what?

I'm buying 4th.

Yeah, the DI makes me a little nervous, but y'know. I don't -have- to sign up for it. And early indicators suggest that some form of the OGL will survive, which means I'll be able to get my Paizo fix. Or just keep my Pathfinder subscription.

On the other hand, I have friends spread out all over the country who play. If the DI is done well, and I can actually -play- with some of these people? That'll be awsome.

So yeah - I'm expecting Awsome, not Doom. And I bet there are others like me.

Greetings,

I've already picked to roll my extra issues of Dungeon and Dragon into Pathfinder, but I can't find where to see how many free issues I'm getting.

It's also telling me I have no extra Dungeon or Dragon issues - is this because I've already turned them into Pathfinder issues, or am I having a problem?

I had this come up during a game recently. One of the mini-bosses of the adventure is an undead with spellcaster levels (huceuva cleric), and my party grappled him down at one point. I expect this tactic to be attempted again, at least against obvious spellcasters.

While I don't want to nerf this approach, and I like it to work sometimes, what ways do people have to counter this at low to mid level. At high levels it's simple enough to put on a contingency and gaseous form if grappled, or some other form of 'escape' magic.

What ways have others come up with to keep the party from going 'A litch? Quick, grab it!'

Sovereign Court

So I had an interesting situation come up in my game during the events under Parrot Island.

The party ended up fighting the huecuva before they'd found the silver dagger (they intentionally avoided the water), and really couldn't do much to hurt it. The cleric failed her turn attempt, and no one could do damage to the undead thing...

So the druid says 'Right, everybody drop your weapons and grapple!'. And proceeded to grapple with the huecuva successfully. Now, he was calling for people to dogpile on - my question is this: What do you do if they successfully pin something like this? Can they tie it up? They can't knock it out (undead immune to subdual). It ended up being a non-issue as the huecuva scored a successful slam (natural weapon) on the druid, making him realize that it was very dangerous to try and fight it weaponless - and only narrowly avoided getting killed by the deathtouch (low roll on the D6).

I'm not sure my first action when faced with a horrible dead thing would be to run up and hug it - seems a little odd. Thoughts?

I found the news that both Dungeon and Dragon were going away to be more than a little disappointing, since I was working on several proposals for Dungeon.

At the same time I'm greatly interested in the idea of making Monsters for the new Pathfinder books but I'd like to ask as a starting point what sorts of monsters are you looking for?

Are there certain CR's that you're looking for, humanoids, races equivalent to the core ones or say, orcs... or possibly ancient aberrations, dragon types, ancient beings of unimaginable power, vermin... Basically, while I have lots of ideas, I'm wondering if there's any guidelines or suggestions in particular.

I admit, I find the idea of helping contribute and having one of my ideas used by one of these admitted masters of their craft quite thrilling!

I figure it's time I stopped lurking here, and actually started posting a little bit. I'm looking to start running a group of people through the Savage Tide Adventure Path, and my old gaming group is 'burned out on D&D', whatever that means. As such, since I've got a very good impression from the folks who follow these boards, I'm looking for players from the Seattle Area.

Just to clarify, I'm located in the Bellevue Area - ideally this would be either a weekly or every other week type of game, and I intend to primarily run the Savage Tide Adventure path for several levels. I've done DMing before, but I might be just a touch rusty on player shennanigans.

Any type of roleplayer is welcome, provided you're at least somewhat serious about wanting to play. I can host, or players are also welcome to host. Feel free to merely respond here, or to email me direct.
