Brigand You hail from the River Kingdoms or the more lawless reaches of Brevoy. Life has been hard for you. Perhaps your parents and siblings were crooks and con artists, or maybe your rough, lonely life lead you to fall in with thieves and worse. You know how to ambush travelers, bully traders, avoid the law, and camp where no one might find you. Recently, you’ve run into some trouble, either with the law or with other bandits, and you’re looking to get away to somewhere no one would ever think to look for you. An expedition into the rugged wilderness seems like a perfect way to lie low until the trouble blows over. You begin the campaign with an extra 100 gp in ill-gotten gains. You also gain a +1 trait bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Sense Motive checks when dealing with brigands, thieves, bandits, and their ilk.
Talented You are a virtuoso musician, actor, or storyteller. You gain a +1 trait bonus on checks with a single Perform skill (your choice), and all Perform skills are always class skills for you.
Infusions
Burning Infusion
Element fire; Type substance infusion; Level 1; Burn 1
Associated Blasts blue flame, fire, magma, plasma
Saving Throw Reflex negates
Your kinetic blast ignites your foes. Whenever an infused blast hits a foe and penetrates its spell resistance, that foe catches on fire, regardless of whether it takes damage. A foe that catches fire takes 1d6 points of fire damage each round until the fire is extinguished. Against a creature on fire from this infusion, any fire kinetic blasts gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls, to DCs, and on caster level checks to overcome spell resistance.
Wild Talents
Basic Pyrokinesis
Element fire; Type utility (Sp); Level 1; Burn 0
You can use your inner flame to reproduce the effects of a flare, light, or spar cantrip, except that the light you create with light produces heat like a normal flame; using any of the three abilities ends any previous light effect from this wild talent.

Personality:

Background:

Schandra was born into family of minor nobility in the city of Restov and spent most of her early life in their small countryside estate where they could hide their freak of a daughter. She rarely saw her parents as they wanted to avoid the memory of what they had been "cursed" with that they never realize just how slow she would age nor that she'd begun to control flames. It wasn't until she was twenty and they had never conceived again that they realized the "freak" might inherit everything and decided that they should have her taught how to be a proper lady. They hired tutors but wouldn't give her what she really needed, their love, and Schandra took great delight in driving the tutors away.

As she reached her mid-forties Schandra had begun to develop towards adulthood and there her problems really began. As she grew older her control of fire increased, it came to the point where she could not just create small amounts of flames but great bursts of the stuff that would set fire to what it touched and became increasingly harder to put out. It also became obvious just how oblivious she could be as there were several incidents of fires that caused her parents to go from simply hating her to fearing her. Even the servants, who had basically raised her, began to avoid her and her parents finally took the last step and tried to remove her.
Chandra's parents hired a master poisoner who went in to remove the monster from their family tree but the poisoner made a fatal mistake. The poison did weaken Schandra, a very great deal actually, but it also caused her to lose control of the flames. As her strength failed her and her powers ran rampant her hair burst into flames, the golden tresses becoming tinged with orange and then beginning to flow down her back like liquid flames. The assassin, ever the professional, tried to go in and kill her directly at that point, instead of the helpless girl he was after he found a raging inferno and when it was done not even his bones remained from the intense flames she used on him.
With her home destroyed and the servants fled Schandra went to confront her parents and saw the city for the first time. It was an amazing place to one raised totally in the countryside and she found herself often gawking at what there was to see. She was so entranced that she rarely noticed the looks of fear and distrust given her. Eventually she found her way to her parent’s townhouse and demanded entry only to be denied by the butler who pretended not to know who she was. It took some persuading but it wasn't until the anger rose and her hair began to burn again that he relented in fear and let her inside.
When she finally met her parents face to face Schandra was nearly fifty and her parents were much older. It surprised her at the differences and how very old they looked. She knew that the servants had aged faster but she thought that was natural. Her mother was nearly sixty-five and her father almost eighty, and both looking so very aged to her relatively young eyes. She tried to approach them but they drew back in fear and the hurt this caused the young Schandra caused her burning yellow hair to start burning a very dull orange before ceasing to burn at all. She turned from them and left, never bothering to see them again and going to make her own way in life.
Schandra found she had few skills she could barter for herself until a man in the market saw how fluidly she moved and recognized the beauty in this strange woman. Kristov found that Schandra had a flare for dance and he quickly took her under his wing. Kristov was second to a group f bandits and he saw potential in the woman before him to serve as a distraction and gather of information. She was taught how to dance and charm people with her almost hypnotic movements and beauty. She would be sent in to find out when caravans were going through the area by charming the information from merchants and teamsters and would relay that back to Kristov.
During her time with the Firebrands Schandra made friends with a few of them, Kristov was one and worked as her handler. There was also the woman who taught her to dance, a Varisian called Katalinah, who became a close friend and sometime lover. The final member of the Firebrands she became close to was a strange one, a young faery dragon who thought he was a “true dragon” and had teamed up with “his minions” to “have fun” tricking people into giving him things for his horde. Unfortunately a few months ago Schandra lost contact with the firebrands when Kristov didn’t meet her for her report. Eventually she investigated their last camp and found it in ruins from neglect. With no idea what had happened Schandra gathered her meager trove and returned to Restov and tried to figure out how to find her friends. She eventually heard of the expedition to reclaim the stolen lands and knew this was her chance to find the lost Firebrands.
