Savari moves into the room and prepares to create a kinetic cover between the ghoul and anyone it attacks.

Talent - Kinetic Cover:

You call up elemental matter to defend yourself and your allies from attacks. As a standard action, you can select one face of a square within 30 feet of you and move elemental matter to block that face, providing total cover from that direction. Water, ice, and telekinetic force are translucent, but earth, metal, mud, and the like are opaque and block line of sight as well. A creature who strikes the cover can easily destroy it. Regardless of its composition, the cover has hardness 0 and 2 hit points per kineticist level you possess.

"Word of Sevenfinger's treasure is already out in the world, and it is only a matter of time before someone else makes the journey here in search of it. The Society has an interest in lore and history, not wealth. I am sure they would like to send an expert to talk with you at some point, and learn your story. I doubt others will give you the same courtesy."

I knew we should have dug out that collapsed passage.

Facing another undead monster was what Savari had hoped to avoid, but now that it sat before them she knew it had to be dealt with.

"We believed this to be Sevenfinger's tomb. Were you a member of his crew? There's an object we are looking for that it was rumored he once took into his possession."

"Didn't we have three days? That means we should have enough time to dig. Let's look at Thrennt's log again before we go someplace unnecessary." Once the log is in hand she points out a passage.

"Thrennt hid the Orb in a side chamber connected to what he called the ‘hall of the flesh eaters’ and then collapsed the entrance to keep it safe. We have to go through there." She points to the collapsed area.

I'm inclined to suggest we check the secret door first. Also, our mission briefing indicated the area we're looking for was beyond a collapsed area. Have we seen anything matching that description?

I suggest using the wand and saving the channel for emergencies. I'm lamenting the decision to take a non-healing talent.

"I think we should keep moving." Savari says, surprising herself with the words coming out of her mouth. "This place... it is terrible and I want done with it."

With the ghouls so close in melee Savari decides to attack the mound of flesh the creatures were guarding.

Savari steps behind Hironaki and attempts to look over his shoulder into the room, then immediately regrets it as she catches an eyeful of the nightmarish scene. Knowing that the only choice was to fight, she waits until one closes distance, then sends another bullet flying at it.

Don't have the extended range to attack now, so need to ready an action for when one comes within 30 feet.

Savari takes a sling bullet from a small pouch at his side and tosses it over the heads of her companions. Using her powers she then flings it at the slug.

Savari recovers some rubble from the last room and tosses it towards the illusionary face, then accelerates it with a telekinetic push.

"Wait a moment once the door is opened." Savari says. Protecting Hironaki from the falling idols had given her an idea. "I can block the way with another barrier just in case something is waiting to attack beyond."

Savari watches from a safe distance, curious about Hironaki's skills with such devices.

I've got the Kinetic Cover talent, and I'm wondering if I can use it to protect him if the trap springs and a statue falls towards him. It would only absorb damage from one attack, but I'm thinking it might buy him a round to get out of the way. Thoughts?

Savari spends the night restless and extremely uncomfortable. This whole place is unnatural, and she can't shake the feeling that something bad is about to happen. The next morning she is more than ready to descend and get this task over with as quick as possible.

As they follow the trail, Savari examines the gruesome scarecrow, but doesn't get too close to it. The standing stone seems safer, so she approaches and walks around it warily before joining the others near the crack.

Savari would have preferred to go a different way, like maybe back to the ship, but she set her jaw and followed the others. As they encounter the savages she readies herself for trouble, her eye catching a nearby rock which begins to tremble.

"Maybe we could offer them food.." She says, hoping violence isn't necessary.

"Someone has been here recently." Savari points to the remains of a weeks-old campfire that contains the charred skull and bone fragments of a humanoid. "Is it me, or do those bones look chewed upon?"

Savari slowley shakes her head, her eyes big. "There are few boats in the desert, magical or otherwise."

A few months ago she was just another shepherd, traveling from one oasis to another with her tribe in a far off corner of Casmaron.

Then one day at an oasis she met a woman, a Pathfinder, that was traveling in search of individuals that used a rare sort of magic, created in the minds and bodies of certain men and women. Savari had a ability to move things with a thought - a talent she believed was passed down through her family, and few had thought the ability more than some sorcerous power imparted by a djinn or some other outsider to one of her ancestors. The woman knew otherwise and convinced Savari and her family to send her west to gain an education and learn the true potential of her powers.

She never thought that would lead her to this boat, surrounded by a desert of undrinkable water. About to explore a site bearing multiple names with dire implications.

The Doomspire? Hall of the Flash Eaters? what have I gotten myself into?

Sitting in the shade next to a window is a young woman. She has the color and features of a keleshite and wears a studded leather jerkin over the flowing garb one might expect from a desert dweller. A travelers bundle rests beside her, with a crossbow resting on top.
