Local Legend of Saulė
Saulė was born on an inauspicious night of the waning half-moon. Not only was the night of his birth troubling, but he was physically marked with unnatural red skin and twin knobs on his forehead. His parents left him, as an infant, behind when they fled Willowshore. His parents left because they could not bear their neighbors’ suspicious glances and whispers. No one remembers what his parents named him. He was taken in and cared for by Mother Otis of the Thrice-blessed Inn.
Saulė has always been a helpful boy with dreams of becoming a samurai, but he is known to experience bouts of angry depression, particularly on nights of the waning moon. Many of the townsfolk find it hard to ignore his unusual appearance.
Physical Appearance
Saulė stands taller than most of his neighbors with broad shoulders and thick arms. However, his most notable traits are his brick red skin, striking heterochromatic red and blue eyes, and two horn-like bony protrusions on his forehead.
