The Jzen Cult of the northern desert have always had a strong conneciton to the supernatural.The Jzen do not "worship" in the traditional sense, they make offerings to powerful spirits in return for favors. The members of the clan use their family name as their middle name. Sanzu Vo Jzen, is Sanzu of the Vo family of the Jzen Cult.The Vo specialize in lifting curses and exorcising unwanted spirits. This puts them at odds with the Yervin, a family of Half-Elfs that specialize in Oracles. They belive a spirit possession is a blessing and those suffering from it should be trained as Oracles. In some cases the Vo will allow loved ones of the possessed choose if they want to become an Oracle of the Yervin instead of being exorcised, typically this is in extreme cases when the possessed might not survive the exorcism. This courtesy is only afforded to fellow elves or half-elves though, never to outsiders. The Jzen Clan and many other Clans fight against the Sydan Cult that has many witches and summoners of violent beasts among thier rank. Many outsiders blam the doings of the Sydan on all elves ignorant of the differant clans.The Cult makes a living charging for its services. Though some claim the cult is responsible for the possessions in the first place(which is more often then not the Sydan), most people recognize their ability in this even if they generally try to avoid them. Sanzu comes to the hanged noose in search of exorcism work, and to trade for some jade as its mystical properties have some benefit to his line of work.
