Just wondering: Does a freedom of movement spell or ring protect the beneficiary from the (non-banishing) effects of the blasphemy/holy word-type spells?

It seems like FoM would provide protection versus the Paralyze effect (up to caster level -5). Though, it obviously would not help versus the blind/deaf/kill/banish effects. Eh, that's how I would rule it anyways.

Oh, and...apologies if this has been done a billion times before.

We are Wiccan also. I think there's a real possibility in both cases that the social worker's issues with religion (to which she legally cannot object) are being displaced onto gaming. But my impression with ours was that gaming was genuinely an issue for her as well. We had to explain it again, every home visit for nine months; it never stuck!

I would have to question whether a hobby that can be purchased legally anywhere in the United States could be used as a reason to deny someone from adopting. That's completely insane...I mean, that sounds like something you could get someone fired over.

got me thinking about mis-matches a one on one PC battle could offer strategically. Using the same standards Ender_rpm has in the thread above (18th level, Elite Array (15,13,12,11,10,8), PHB, DMG, MM only. Phb races, average HP. No spell effects in effect at begining of game, and no buff rounds. prolly foot ball field sized playing area, not sure of cover. Full wealth, no more than 33% on any one item (440K gold wealth/ <148 K on one item)), who would come out on top?

I was lucky enough to play under Erik when he visited High Point, and the entire group had a great time testing his uniquely lethal adventure. Yeah, M.A.C.E. is always a blast and definitely worth checking out if you live in the NC/SC/VA area.
