SPECIAL ABILITIES
Challenge (Ex): (1/1) Once per day, as a swift action, Sammi can challenge a single target within sight to challenge. His melee attacks deal extra damage equal to his cavalier level [+1] whenever he makes attacks against the target of his challenge. Sammi takes a -2 penalty to his AC against opponents other than the target of his challenge. In addition, Moonchaser gains a +1 dodge bonus to his AC as long as he is threatening the target of Sammi’s challenge and Sammi is riding him.
Ghost Mount (Su): See Moonchaser
Frightful Gaze (Su): Sammi can use this ability on opponents within 30 feet as a standard action, which acts as a gaze attack until Sammi’s next turn. Creatures within range that meet Sammi’s gaze must make a Will saving throw (DC 12) or stand paralized in fear for 1 round. This is a mind-affecting fear effect. Creatures that successfully save against Sammi’s frightful gaze are immune for 24 hours. (2/2)
Phantom Link (Su): Sammi and Moonchaser share a mental link that allows for communication across distances (as long as they are on the same plane). This communication is a free action that can be performed even when it isn’t Sammi’s turn, but Sammi and Moonchaser must both be conscious to communicate this way. This allows Sammi to give orders to Moonchaser at any time.
