Salzarus swigs a vial from his belt and vanishes!

"MWAHAHAHAHA!"

Salzarus Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Salzarus lands with pin-point precision.

"HA! Well, it was fun while it lasted. Be seeing you, my pale beauty! Tell your full-blooded friend that I shall be seeing her as well. Though perhaps neither of you shall see me."

Laughing the wizard turns and leaps off the tower. Withdraw action.

acrobatics (jump): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

He descends verrrrry slowly....

"Oh my tricksy little mud-blood, take this." Slazarus's next words are bit of slithering magic.

Salzarus (and his clones) cast oneiric horror (Will DC 17) targeting Illthir.

The cackling quartet of dark-skinned elves in the northern tower point their index fingers accusingly down at Durgan.

ray v Durgan (range touch): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 Str penalty: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 miss

"HAHAHAH!" the maniacal elf and his magical duplicates spin in unison making watchers slightly nauseaous. Each holds a small crossbow in their hand. They fire! A single bolt strikes Victoria's upper arm. It unnaturally burns.

hand crossbow v Victoria: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 + acid damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Victoria runs to help her fox when she sees one of the attackers cast a healing spell on him. Oh, thank heavens! She gives the woman a smile and a nod of acknowledgement.

if she can see Salzarus, she'll try to hex him with slumber, DC17 will. Since there's no attack roll, I don't think mirror images will help him. If not, are there any enemies she can see?

The dark elf seems unaffected by the slumber hex. "HAHAHA!"

"It's true what they say it is a save or suck sort of world." the quartet of dark elves say to Durgan. They smile and point their index fingers at him.

Those who can see him/them casting - spellcraft DC 16:

ray v Durgan (range touch): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Str penalty: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Durgan Fort DC 15 for half.

dice:
1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

The form of the elf wizard vanishes from the darkness of the second floor ledge and four of him reappear on the walkway across from it moving their hands and chanting the words of magic. Perhaps even worse, though he (they?) is obviously the same elf that you battled in the woods before his skin is now as black as volcanic glass.

Durgan Fortitude save DC 16. If you fail you can open the Spellcraft spoiler for the effect.

What he's casting - Spellcraft DC 17:
He's casting the blindness version of blindness/deafeness.

"Fools! Did you think me some common necromancer to be stricken from afar! My true calling is darkness as you will soon see!"

The chanting stops, and a voice in the darkness says something in a tongue unknown to most surface dwellers.

Undercommon:
"Try not to damage her face."

The voice in the darkness begins an spidery incantation.

"Oh, I have something for the ones who robbed me of my sweet Olessa." says a strangely accented elven man's voice from the darkness. "Though to be honest she was getting a bit natty. I think I'll have the elf on the wall's instead."

His voice becomes a drone of incantation and suddenly a familiarly nauseating 20-foot tall pattern of lights appears in gap before Arris, Scarlet and Zokon.

He casts loathsome veil affecting Arris, Scarlet, and Zokon (Will DC 18).

Scarlet:
Scarlet can see into the darkness on the second floor of the blown out keep where the elf is standing, but the the elf she sees there strangely appears to be a photo negative of the elf she faced in the woods before. His hair is still very light (probably chalk white), but his skin is darker now nearly as dark as pitch.

And as our powers grow we might be able to acquire some faster mounts or a stash of scrolls for situations like these. I mean Invisibility Sphere could really have helped.

What do you mean? It did. ;)

"MWAHAHAHAHA!"

"Let's call it adieu."

dice:
handle animal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Salzaruses create a dancing knot of lights and then urges his horse off the slippery patch, and down the path building speed.

dice:
1d20 ⇒ 15
1d20 ⇒ 16

Alia of the Blade wrote:
Alia, invisibly, approaches the enemy Elf...there was little else she could do with nausea making her barf almost constantly...Luckily, there was enough else going on to not make the trail very...noticeable.

As she approaches:

"Why what a clever little girl." Salzarus says looking directly at the Alia. He smiles. "What a good head you have on your shoulders."

Alia, if you are still going ahead with your action:
I need a Caster level check v SR.

"Such a waste, but I suppose these sorts of sacrifices must be made."

The glittering outline of the elf seems fuzzier than the other outlines as if it is overlayed half a dozen times over in mirror images of itself. With his horse gone the figure (figures?) just sits there in the air, the way bricks don't, and then slowly alights to the ground rubbing his (their?) eyes.

"Right. If that's how it has to be."

The wall of scintillating grease disappears.

"Auchs. Kill them all. Start with the one in the big hat."

"Fire! Now that's more like it!" Says the elf in the clearing. "I notice you didn't bring your druid. Was she there when Norry visited? The man's a complete load. My lord will be ever so angry if it turns out that Norry robbed him of the pleasure of killing her himself. Auchs! Ayles! We're leaving."

He utters a few strangely accented words of magic.

"Really? Glitterdust? That's the best you've got?" challenges Salzarus. He just stands there looking imperious when a garish pattern of light oozes from behind the place where the party entered the clearing.

Will save DC 18; failure:
Become nauseated.

"I'm Salzarus." He bows. "So why are you here precisely? To join up? I have the ear of the lord of these lands, and we've had some openings in the organization of late." He smiles.

He releases the head which against most expectations floats upward and away from him. He steps back around some rocks.

The fire pit and the rocks look to be difficult terrain.

"Oh, hello there. Don't mind us. We were just finishing." The elf smiles sheepishly. "I have to say you are quite persistent."
