I'd be ready to continue as well. Had a couple of rough posting weeks between sickness, internet issues, and Paizo Website issues, but was really starting to feel a place for Sadarr.

"What next"? "I believe we are underpaid". "This road seems to have a much larger volume of traffic than it's condition merits". Sadarr, does what he can to help move the caravan into a hiding position, then positions himself to intercept any curious investigators.

"Yes that one deserved his death". "Using traps, and attacking caravans is far from honorable". Then turning to Vic. "My heart tells me to go after them and end this threat, but my honor requires me to complete this escort mission"... Then with a smile which makes everyone shiver a bit ... "Then come back and take care of these bloodthirsty savages".

Sadarr walks to retrieve his Spear, feeling a bit vindicated that he actually did something effective in the combat, then returns to where the others are gathered. Sadarr has an arrow sticking completely through his body, somehow missing any vital organs, and no longer bleeding due to some self applied healing. He is at 6 out of 10 hit points. "If anyone is not particularly squeamish, could I trouble you to break off the head of this arrow, and retract it from my abdomen"?

Sadarr pull forth his mighty longbow, and looks for a suitable target. Sadarr grunts in dismay as his long throw is evaded by the murderous orc... which turns into a grunt of pain as the deadly archer once again makes his arrow count. The force of the blow nearly turns the Dragonborn in a full circle, as he glanced down at the 4" of arrow and fletching blooming from his chest. He drops to one knee in the pain. With a grimace he grasps the arrow, and prepares to pull it out, then remembers that this might cause more damage. "I pray that this is not what you have in store for your humble servent". Sadarr mumbles under his breath, as he lets the healing grace of Istus flow into the wound. "Pulling this out will have to wait for later". He grumbles as he rises back to his feet. Using "Lay on Hands" to heal 5 HP of damage bring Sadarr back to 6 HP and more caution.

Hi all. I apologize for my role in the games sluggish start. I'm back now, and really excited to get things rolling. Sadarr seeing a target now, follows in the footsteps of his comrades, moving carefully, and taking cover, and / or concealment as he can, but following in their footsteps to avoid the traps, moves to engage.

Spoiler: Sadarr will definitely talk to Harrenen before leaving, as up to now he's the only person who he has met in this town, that he has formed any bonds of friendship with. He will ask for his advice, and to share anything he knows about the dangers he might face along the way. Also, if he knows anyone at their destination he might introduce himself to.

Sadarr speaks over his shoulder. "It seems that I have worn out my welcome here". "My experience tells me that people will still talk". "And I am all for keeping a low profile, though that is difficult in my circumstances". "Still I have nowhere else to go, and fate seems to spin me in this direction". "To top it all off", Sadarr says finally standing and turning to face the others. "Iuz is no friend of Istus". "I am in".

Sadarr reluctantly joins the group at the table, but relaxes a bit when he sees that they are seriously curious about him. "I am named Sadarr". "I serve the Keeper of Fate, and that service is what brings me to this place". "Perhaps it is at this moment that our webs interweave". "If it pleases you I will sit facing the wall so as to not inflict you all with my new-found curse...but be assured I am listening and will respond".

Sadarr peers around the room, and sees the impact that his unexpected attack had on the others. He smiles his "dragon smile" that if you're so inclined could be interpreted as a barring of teeth. He is unsure whether to approach the affected teamsters, or simply hold his ground...They fear me. Will they attack or run? His thoughts are interrupted by the approach and speech of an elven blooded man. One of the participants of the brawl. "Greetings". "I am called Sadarr". "I apologize if I was the cause of this impromptu melee". "I am quite unfamiliar with the customs and social interactions of this area, and must have somehow offended these fine gentlemen". "Well met Viclofflis". He then grasps the mans hand in his taloned one and shook it, as seemed to be the custom here.

Roaring in outrage, and embarrassment. What have I done to offend these people. I was merely standing here. Sadarr rises to his hands and knees, then roars his most fierce roar...and is as surprised as his assaulter to see a billowing cloud of frigid air escape his mouth and cover them. 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8 CON Save DC10 for half damage. I figure since Sadarr has never had a dragonborn to show him what he is capable of, this might be as good of a time as any to discover that he has a breath weapon. Sadarr's body tenses as he sees the action tense up. He has no dog in this fight, unless things get out of hand... though if the elf who extended hospitality to him seems to be in trouble, perhaps he will help him out. Although he has no reason to expect so, he follows Morgorath's training, centers himself, and ensures that there are no evil forces at work here. Divine Sense

Sadarr is somewhat taken aback by the unexpected greeting from the Elf. He is so stunned that instead of acting, he takes a moment to regain his composure. Unfortunately, the Elf is past him before he can return the greeting. He stands his ground, and keeps an eye on his unexpected greeter. Maybe if he makes eye contact again, I will approach him and see if his greeting was sincere. He pays little attention to the situation developing as it doesn't seem to concern him. He is content to wait.

Sadarr stands silently, his greatsword strapped across his back, and his spear leaning casually against the wall beside him. The glint of well cared for chain shows beneath his unique cloak. Dark Grey with Black spider webs at the shoulders. The Holy symbol of Istus is displayed predominantly upon his chest. He makes no move towards anyone, but stands silently beside the door where he entered. Since nobody here had ever seen a dragonborn before he arrived in town, if it difficult to read his mood, but he seems un-aggressive, and has quite a presence with his great size, and silver coloring. He simply waits to see what happens. He's not had real luck with approaching others. They either run, or p*ss themselves... especially when he smiles.

Sadarr grunts under his breath, and takes a rag from his belt wiping the grit from his eyes. Interesting. He then takes the message, and tucks it into the top of his boot. After the days long toil, he goes to wash off, and never knowing what to expect dons his armor for his meeting tonight...along with everything else he owns. About 5 minutes before his appointed time, he enters the meeting place, and takes a quick look around. He is used to the stares and silence when he enters the room, so makes to bother of it, and instead waits for someone to approach him. He steps to the side of the entrance and simply...waits... I wonder if Dragonborn sweat???

Long time gamer as well, and still have the original Greyhawk boxed set on my shelf. Playing since 1977.... Gah! I am old... Travelling a lot the next two days, but will try to stay in touch. Really looking forward to this as 5E is the closest I've seen in feeling since 1E.
So many people...and not of one race. Yet he was still an outcast. Some made fun of him, but most feared him, as he was different. Different from everyone in fact. Still Istus had brought him here for a reason, and it seemed as thought at this time, many had common goals with him. Sadarr realizes quickly that he must work twice as hard to be accepted as one of the more common races, so he does what is necessary. He works on the farms toiling in the heat, and helps to care for the infirm at night. In the few free hours he has, he dons his armor, and practices his weapon forms alone. Finally, Fate spun hims a lucrative thread, as a man named Manlon Harrennen took notice of his humbleness, patience, and martial prowess, and became his friend. Now if he could just fine something important for him to do... Here is the mostly...I think complete profile of Sadarr. I've added some more to his history, and should have him ready to go...if chosen that is. Florida USA resident so US Eastern time for posting. |
