"Good idea." Sādhanā says as she heads to the tower side exit. "I'll be back in a couple minutes."

"If that fails she never trusts us again."

"So the combination of having that drink last night and something else...probably stress, brought up dreams that conjured up old demons. And made her want to fall back on her old coping mechanism." Sādhanā says with a sigh. "You're right, she needs our support more than anything else right now."

"I'm sure being here, hoping to retrieve people who were under her command can't be an easy thing to deal with either." Sādhanā agreaad, happy to see the calm in Ylrhea's tone. "We really need to just kill these sons of @#$%^#es so we can go home."

Sādhanā shakes her head with a grin, returning the squeeze. "Is it wired that this feels normal?"

Caught up in a fog of happiness, the magus doesn't notice anything amiss.

"Well with me being Anizari, it would definitely be possible." Sādhanā responds, looking into Ylrhea's eyes. "I know this fight will take longer than any of us would hope, and that we've got our work cut out for us. But the idea of a little one with your big beautiful eyes, the idea of creating a life with you, makes my heart smile." the magus says quietly.

"That sounds like heaven." Sādhanā says buckling Oblivion onto her hip. "I think I'll wait until we have our plan of action laid out before I prepare my spells today. Let's go see whet the others are up to." she says bending to give Ylrhea a loving kiss.

Good night, sleep well.

"I gave up the idea of true love for the reality of it. I gave up my heart being pulled apart for joining it with the person who already shares it. You know me better than anyone else, Love and everyone else was able to see it." Sādhanā says looking into Ylrhea's eyes. "You are worth everything to me."

Sādhanā smiles at the woman who had subtly claimed her heart. "No matter how chaotic today has been, the fact that I get to end it with you in my arms makes every second worth it."

"I had planned on taking a bath...but magic will work just as well...I need you more than a soak in a tub tonight." Sādhanā says quietly, stroking Ylrhea's hair.

"Yeah, I'm sure of it. It'll take her a while to process it all. Even though we all know this is what's best, the part of her that rails against everything she's lost will still rear up a bit. She has a good heart though and she'll find a way to turn it into something good eventually, probably indulge herself into her work." Sādhanā replies quietly.

And I'm about to go prep dinner.

"I'll wait for you in there," Sādhanā says smiling. Releasing Arista's embrace she squeezes her friend's shoulder. "Drago took Godrick to the men's sleeping quarters to lie down for a bit. You'll find him in there." she says softly before heading to the women's room.

Sādhanā turns to face Arista. "Hey, you ok?"

"Ok," Sādhanā replies taking Ylrhea's hand, "as long as we remember what's going on outside and keep....other stuff.....for later." she says in a lower tone a small smile playing at her lips.

Sādhanā turns to Ylrhea, "I'm sure that's a lot for her to process at once." she says looking after Arista.

Cool have a good night's rest and a great day at work tomorrow.

We've all taken quite the emotional beating today. lol

"Of course....I appreciate the chance to say goodbye."

Sādhanā's jaw drops at the announcement that Godrick wouldn't survive the night, she could again feel tears welling up, though she felt as if in the past few hours she'd shed a lifetime's worth.

Returning the supportive squeeze and greatful for it, she moves to
stand next to the paladin she rests her hand on his shoulder. "And it has been an honor to take up your cause Godrick, this land is the better for having had you in it."

"Of course Godrick," Sādhanā replies leading the way in. With each step her heart feels a bit lighter with the knowledge that Ylrhea was inside.

Sādhanā puts her ring into Godrick's hand as well. "I will always be your friend Clara and I will always stand to protect you. I hope that you find true happiness, you're an amazing person, one of the best I've ever met, and our time together, as brief as it was brought me great joy."

"Yes I do." she says slipping the ring off of her finger, the irony of her words not escaping her. She takes a step forward looking into Clara's eyes.

"I'm sorry.. she whispers.

I did not expect that, I love it, but I didn't expect it at all. Bravo.

The sudden absence in her mind is so telling to Sādhanā that her defensive instinct doesn’t king in when the others appear in a sudden flash. ”Good to see you too Godrick…..” words fail her as she looks over at Clara, clearly able to see that the Paladin he been crying.

A wealth of emotions churn within her, but what surprises her the most is the flicker of………relief.

At work so been reading through intermittently....WHOA!!!

I say that an awful lot. I'm just as surprised as you guys when these things happen sometimes and that's the honest truth.

Yeah I can honestly say I had no idea how this would turn out, or that we'd even end up here. Living Campaign.

"Thank you....I...I think you're right." Sādhanā says quietly. "Based on what's coming through my ring, Clara can feel it too.

She takes a long deep breath. "I want to do the right thing, but my heart just wants to run inside, grab a hold of Ylrhea and never let go. But I'm scared of what will happen to Clara without me."

Ok sleep well Henry.

As she processes Oblivion's input, Sienna's words hit her full force. "I...what have I done?"

Sādhanā looks back at Sienna thinking about her words. "It does. Thanks." Quietly wiping the tear streaks from her eyes she sighs.

"With Clara, it's different. It's like having a safe place away from everything to call home. I can forget about battle and fighting if only for a little while, but with Ylrhea....she's...having her next to me makes everything seem right even when it's all going to $#!+ all around us. I honestly don't want to imagine not seeing her every day."

Nothing to be sorry of, we will resume with the soap opera portion of the chapter ...after these messages...lol.

"If you can call it that. I'm a mess.But...." the magus stares off into the ditance. "I want to scream."

It made me smile

Nodding quietly, the magus exits the bedroom, trying to make it outside before running into anyone. As she walks out the door she takes a deep breath of the chilly air to help her clear her head.

Her mind was a muddle, her heart at once burdened and relieved, and through it she was aware of the pulse of emotion through her ring.

Despite the fact that it only complicated matters, Ylrhea's words still bring a warm smile to Sādhanā's tear streaked face. "Or I you..." she says in an almost whisper. "I'll.....I'll be back in a little while ok?"

She stands up, her knees feeling as if they were made of water.

Absolutely.....Sādhanā is trying so hard to be good.

Let's just throw a whole bucket of wrenches into things shall we?

For all her focus, for all her brilliance and force of will Sādhanā melts into the kiss a shudder passing through her. Some part of her mind felt like she'd been waiting for this forever, while another railed against herself. She felt thrilled, incredibly aroused, and absolutely horrible.

After what feels like an eternity she pulls away. Her body screaming in protest. "I have to......I need to take a walk outside. If I stay here...with you.... like this....my resolve will crumble. But, if I give in now...would I be the person you fell in love with? Please...just give me time to....I don't know...just a little time?"

Ylrhea sees a vulnerability she's never seen in the magus before, completely open, her heart laid completely bare.

Sādhanā can feel her body react as Ylrhea stands up, her eyes roaming her body, scarred yet beautiful, her dream didn't do the gnome justice.

She could feel her heart hammering in her chest, as she leans her face into the tender caress.

She desperately wanted to kiss each and every scar, to let her know how beautiful and accepted and loved she was....just like she'd done that first night with Clara.

With her eyes welling with tears the magus looks into Ylrhea's eyes. "I can't walk away from you.......but I can't give in.....not right now....not here..without. I...I could never reject you Ylrhea....but....can you give me time?"
