Rythan gave Dusan an appraising look. It was wise to be cautious, after all. Sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Then he shrugged and gestured for Dusan to lead the way. "You must be looking forward to a fresh change of clothes. We should be able to see to that once we're back in the city." And this way we can keep an eye on you.

"I agree, Grob - if she tries anything, she's done for. At least we tried." Rythan looked after Rain guiltily as she stormed away. He started to follow her and Grob, then shook his head and stayed put. "I don't want to make it any worse for her. I understand where she's coming from; her family's been through the hells because of Iramine. But I know I owe my life to Heledar a few times over, and I get what he's saying too." He sighed. "So, anybody want to help me with the rope and gag?" Rythan will truss Iramine up with so much rope, she'll look like a mummy when he's through. :P
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
Rythan took a few steps, and reached out to touch Rain's shoulder. "I know your family has suffered more than most of the rest of us from Iramine's evil, but I think Heledar is right. If we kill her now, while she's helpless, it's just murder. If we become the kind of people who would do that out of revenge, Iramine has basically won anyway. Evil feeds evil." He turned back to the others and shrugged. "I say we at least try to transport her back to see trial. Now that the cult has been rooted out of the city, and connections to it are politically unpopular, she won't find it so easy to escape justice. Besides, if she tries to cut and run, well... at least we tried before we killed her. If we keep her trussed up like a turkey and gagged, she shouldn't be too much trouble. We can rope her to her goons, that way they can't run off too quickly either." "I guess what I'm trying to say is, we're the kind of people who do the right thing, not the easy thing. Right?"
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
"I had a feeling you'd say that," Rythan sighed. "I guess no one else really believed that the snakewoman would leave us alone despite her promise either, huh?" He shrugged. "At least we can make the cultists carry Iramine, if we're going to haul her back. I only just got my breath back - I'm not wasting it carrying her around." Hey Grob, how's that +2 mithral chain shirt look on you? I bet Rain would look real good in that cloak of resistance, too. Or maybe Rumha? ;) He glanced at Heledar, raising his sword. "You didn't really think you'd be going alone, did you?"
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
Rythanus lowered his scimitar, unused. "Wow, remind me never to piss you off," he told the others with a grin. Looking down at Iramine, he shrugged. "No law says we gotta heal her. Unless we want her to stand trial for all the harm she's done, of course. We'll probably have trouble from her if we try to transport her back to civilization, though." "On the other hand, what are we going to do with those cultists we tied up?"
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
Holy-! LOL, I can just see Iramine turn around just in time to get smacked into oblivion by Grob. Epic. To be honest, Rythan wasn't expecting her to surrender either, or that anyone would pull their punches. This is beauty, though.

Already sweating in the hard heat, Rythan moved to the side to avoid being a juicy, clumped-up target with the rest of the group at the door. "Give up now, Iramine. Things will go badly for you if you don't." In the next round, Rythan will ready magic missile for if Iramine begins to cast a spell.

I'm not sure if I can only use 1 arcane pool point/rnd, but if so, Rythan will start using points to make his weapon +1, keen, and give himself a +4 insight bonus to attacks, just before we go in.
Rythan tied up the groveling cultists (sorry if we already did that, I can't recall it), then prepared to enter the next room with his companions. "Let's hope she's all that's in there," he muttered.

Go Rain! :D
Rythan raised his free hand and let loose a spell around the cultists to the east, a cacophony of whirling kaleidoscopic color meant to stun them into inaction, or even drop them.
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
Rythan hemmed and hawed a bit. "Well, she intends to take your wealth before the city floods with gold... perhaps an alliance would be preferable to giving you this woman?" He glanced at Heledar, willing to defer to the wiser man. "If you let us pass peacefully, we will prevent her and her lackeys from robbing you...?"

"Tell us what brought you to the golden city, that we may think on what we could offer that would please you," Rythan called down, stalling for time. He glanced at the others, and whispered, "Any other ideas, guys? Shall we offer the life of [sorry, I forgot her name]? Would that be enough?"

Does anyone have a good Heal skill? Because if you used it on Rythan while he rested, he would heal 2 ability damage rather than 1. If not, I guess Rythan will give it a shot:

OK, I'll assume it's a Guardian Naga unless told otherwise. "Careful, it's not just poisonous, it's a spellcaster," Rythan warned the others as he peered down at the creature. "And it can spit that poison a good long way - around thirty feet. But I've read that they're intelligent - maybe we can offer it something it would rather have than us? Like our quarry," he said, a touch vengefully.

Knowledge:arcana: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 Thinking that the creature would simply bury itself again if they began to shoot at it, Rythan answered Talarin's shrug with one of his own. "With another rope, we could try shooting the doorsill over there and get across while Rain guards the rope? Maybe we could winch Heledar across," he added with a grin.
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
Maybe Heledar should have more than one of the CMW potions, since he does so much damage soaking? If no one else is interested, Rythan could use the brooch of shielding. No argument if someone else does want it, though.

"Hopefully it won't come looking for us after we help ourselves to its hoard," Rythan said, picking up the more portable-looking things and tossing them into his pack. Once they were all ready, he went with them to find a more secure resting spot, looking a good deal more cheerful than he had ever since being poisoned by the lizardman's spear. "Just remember what happened to me when I tried to pick up a coin before," Rythan cautioned her, though the effect of the warning was lessened by him looking avariciously at the trove himself. "Do we have time to check for traps, or should we just poke it with a really long stick and see?"

Level 6 magus:
DM, how do you handle new spell slots? Can I use them immediately, or do I have to rest and prepare them first?

Rythanus sheathed his sword and pulled a torch from his pack, twirling it before smacking it into his palm. "This is all I've got against it besides my magic, but I'm willing to try shocking it if anyone thinks that would help? Otherwise, Rain's plan sounds good to me. Well, maybe not good, but definitely our best bet." Rythan can use a torch as a light mace, but that's the only blunt thing he's got. He could still try his shocking grasp trick to help Grob?
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
Welcome back! Naturally, Rythan can't hit the DC for the checks and doesn't have detect magic prepared, so he's goin' in blind! :P Elated by their clever escape from the golden statues, Rythan slapped the others on the back in congratulations. But when he saw the dragon, he swallowed audibly. "Tell me that's just a skeleton... wait, that doesn't help either." He raised his sword warily, glancing at his friends. "Swords out, or do we have any more tricks up our collective sleeves?" K:arcana: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
Anyone want to try the grease trick under its feet? Though I would assume it would be harder to shove off the bridge than a humanoid skeleton... Any other ideas, besides channeling?
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
Thanks, Heledar and Talarin. Maybe this won't be 100% suicide. ;) DM, what's on the other side of the bridge? Is it an open avenue, or a building we might lose pursuers at? Maybe we could throw the smokestick and run full tilt to relative safety? We might have to deal with them on the way back even if that worked, though...
HP: 47/47 - AC: 17 (21 w shield)|13|15 - For:+6 | Ref:+5 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 Init:+2
"Well, I'm sure not taking point," Rythan muttered. Louder, he said, "I have one last spell that may help us against those things, but only one of them. If you guys can distract it enough for me to get in a hit, I may be able to hurt it." Basically, a bunch of Aid Anothers to plant a hit of shocking grasp. I'll do what I can to make it a crit. :P Use 3 arcane pool points to make the weapon +1, keen, and give a +4 insight bonus to his attacks. Then use spellstrike/spell combat to hit with the shocking grasp.
