Rurik stares knowingly. "I had a similar dream..though I thought the beast was Tiamat, mother hydra, creator of evil dragons...hm. I was able to withstand all of it's attacks but I was unable to hurt it...it was only a matter of time...There was another. Two heads...like apes. Arms were like tentacles." He strokes his beard. "There was another too. An alien like creature...from far beyond. I think it was this Dagon Vadym found in his book." He looks into the book Vadym had, assuming it's available. Insight: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
"If Dagon is also known as 'Father Dagon'..lives in the 'Shadowsea' and Tiamat is known as 'Mother Hydra'....Umberlee is the known as the 'wavemother'. But there was the other..." "I've heard an old saying that evil comes in threes (is this four?). Perhaps Tiamat and Umberlee are the same entity. Maybe one is influencing the other. And maybe...mothers...father...perhaps they're breeding." He seems overwhelmed. "Erazire, did you dream?"

Rurik spends the morning burying the dead using his pick to help open the hard packed ground and his shield to shovel snow. Afterwards he gives a small prayer and sprinkles some holy water on the ground. He takes a sip of the holy water before going inside and giving himself a washcloth bath with a basin he found in the kitchen. Afterwards he combs out his beard and hair, braiding each one a tight simple braid before starting to put his armor back on. Afterwards he goes through his pack finding a short string of simmer sausages and a cheese wheel cuts them up and eats a few leaving the rest for others.

We should have some friends coming to pick us up sometime tomorrow." He starts taking off his armor and motions to the corpse bits. " We should probably rebury them tomorrow. Hopefully the storm will be over by then. "

I think our minds will be sharper. "

There looks to be just enough stew for 3 hearty bowls left. Rurik goes into the kitchen and finds a few clay bowls that look like they'd been set aside as someone of the only unbroken dishes. He wipes them out and fills the bowls bringing one to each of you. He cuts some bread and toasts it on the coals. He looks to Vadym. "We can offer coin. We also have some fresh fruit. For the stew." He takes off his pack. He hesitates a bit before reaching inside. He withdraws a thick wooden ring. It looks to be whittled into a woodland scene with simple rudimentary deer, wolves, bears, birds and snakes. There's still some bark left on it. The wand is stark white birch. It's carved into the shape of leaves towards the very tip, with touches of green stone. There's also a vial of strange liquid and a brush, like a paintbrush. These are both magical. With time you're able to ascertain that properties of the ring LINK, the wand has 3 charges left of a spell: "Revify". the Tome is unmoving and cut in twain. On the wall is a spray of thick, greasy ink. It seems to be moving about the wall on it's own. Trickling like a stream, but not following gravity. It's drawn something. "LXXXIX"

The skeletons ribcage shatters and sends the rest of the limbs tumbling to the ground unmoving. Rurik pivots out of the door ready.

Rurik draws his pick from the hanger ring on his belt. "Hrm...who do you suppose that is." He motions to the smoke meandering out of the chimney. "At least it'll be warm in there. Heh!" He uses the butt of his leathered palm to wipe the snow from his eyebrows and adjusts his armor straps. "So, do we try to peek through the windows, or do we knock?"

Rurik holds his shield the best he can to shelter Erazire and Florr from the winds. The air whistles as it passes it's edge. He drinks a jug of mead and gulps a jar of tomatoes being careful to keep his beard clean. "So, Erazire. You grow up around here, in the North Lands?"

He looks at the companions making a mental list of who's going and staying. "I'll head to the manor and wait with the others. No telling what we'll find there." He looks to Grit as if to say "Are you alright?" Grit nods. He gives a final pleading glance to say "Are you sure?" And Grit nods. Rurik searches the body of the Bugbear. He produces A tome, a ring, a cloak clasp, and a wand. "These are magical." He holds the tomb pinched between his index and thumb letting it dangle like a stinking fish. It's bound in skin and is ringed with humanoid teeth and knucklebones. There's also an inkwell filled with a thick crimson substance and a small brush.
