Chip was created in a foundry outside the Pact system. His purpose was to support a small colony's endevors as an engineer and mechanic. He was treated as a tool, rather than as a sentient being, and was not interacted as such with by the colonists. The ship he was stationed to was captured by pirates, who brought Chip into the Pact system and sold the android to EJ. Now that Chip had full and near-free access to interaction and the 'net, he BINGED on media. He has picked up mannerisms and sayings from certain media (especially "movies") which he inserts into conversation, not always at the most appropriate times.
