Then it's settled. I'll go down and see what I can and signal back to you by tugging the rope. Let's say one for safe, two for assistance and three for overwhelmed. Also, I'm going to tie this off around my waist. I'd appreciate it if one of you would hold the end. I don't know how much I trust a centuries old ladder.
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
Perhaps I should go first before we alert anything to our presence with a light. A couple of days ago, I wouldn't have thought anything could still be down here after being sealed up for so long but who knows what the father has gotten us involved in... So saying, Roh-Kai moves toward the ladder. Father, do you have some rope in the supplies? I can take one end with me and use it to signal if I find anything.

If the father doesn't object, Roh-Kai is going to try and break the column: Roh-Kai taps on the column a little bit, listening to the sound of the echo. Once he's satisfied that he thinks he's found a weak-spot (If there is a roll that will help, I'll take it. If not roleplaying is fun too) Roh-Kai lines his axe up and makes a swing. Attack Roll:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Now that the danger of the Fey is gone, some of Roh-Kai's arrogant aloofness has returned.
Roh-Kai casts his gaze about for a spot that would block his frame from view of anyone stumbling upon the camp without posing a risk of the same fate he taunted Xenarchy with.

HP: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 @DM: We have already talked about me using the executioner ability instead of the bravery ability. Before I finalized this decision I wanted to make sure you were okay using the massive damage optional rule: Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook, Page 189 wrote:
It won't apply for a little while, because right now the best I could possibly do in a single attack is 42 points of damage and nothing we are facing at this level is likely to survive that anyway. However, I still wanted to make sure you were okay using it.

"It appears we have found the creature's head Roh-Kai cautiously looks into the stump to see if there are any non-magical threats

"I think we are meant to track down the head. And now that we have disturbed the corpse, the spirit may consider us responsible for doing so. However, without another one of the enchantress's visions, I doubt any of us would know where to look."

Then I suppose I should save the father from himself.

You notice that Roh-Kai still hasn't entered the water or come any closer to the spot that Xenarchy indicated.

"You hired me to protect you. I protected you from the spiders, and buck protected you from the boars. But this is different. You are asking me to protect you from something I can't see, can't touch, and can't kill. If these ghosts do turn out to be dangerous, I can't guarantee you safety. Now I understand the same could end up applying at the ruin, but at least that's what we came here for. Why go poking around in something that doesn't concern us? I can't guarantee you the spirits haunting this place won't follow us if we leave, but I feel it's probably a lot less likely than if we stay."
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
"What has this matter to deal with your research, father? You are proposing that we study something we do not understand that has the possibility of becoming very dangerous, and possibly lethal? Let us continue on and hope these spirits do not disturb us."
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
"My clansmen would normally push though the night. But since you are unaccustomed to such a life we should make camp. I agree that should we wait here, we risk attack. But if we continue forward we risk encountering new threats. Either way we will need a guard."
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
Hefting his double axe, Roh-Kai attempts to plunge the head into the spider. Single attack1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Seeing the death throes of the now lifeless spider, Roh-Kai moves to help the floundering oracle. Move to H9

How big are the spiders? Giant spiders come in quite a lot of sizes these days. Roh-Kai draws his axe and turns to face the spider.
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
As the spider's fangs sink into his flesh, Roh-Kai lets out a resounding roar. The sound could come from pain, but his face shows only rage that such a creature would dare harm him.

"I'm sick of talking about what thievery or deceit we are going to use. I'm doing things my way. Roh-Kai starts walking in the direction of the pirate camp. He isn't walking all that fast, nor has he drawn any of his weapons.
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
Well, most boats have a locking mechanism so that the oars stay put even if you let go of them, but I figured that you needed a hook of some kind to get us to fight pirates. It's been too long since I've been in a good fight and I'm curious to see if I can trust you to watch my back in a fight. Taking out a band of drunken pirates sounds like a solution to both problems.
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
I don't think you would survive on your own. I can fire over the wall at random, but you shouldn't expect me to hit anyone or to not hit you. Either way, you would be almost entirely without support if they saw you and for us to hide in the trees would put us too far away to save you.
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
"Garesh suggested using his oil and his create fire to burn the boats. Whatever our plan is, starting at night is probably our best bet. They are most likely going to have a guard posted who won't let us just sneak in, but we can catch some of them sleeping.
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
You forget, father, that we can't just row right past them. We are in need of oars, the whole reason we approached the camp in the first place.
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
"Sounds like there are too many for an assault. We may need to try and lead groups away and take them out a little at a time, or perhaps try and sneak in at night. From the sound of it, we won't be making more progress without dealing with these men and, even if we could, I would not care to let those who had fired upon us off so easily. Does anyone have a plan?"
Male Orc Fighter/2 [HP 23/23; AC: 17/15/12; Init +4; F+6, R+2, W+0; Perc +1]
Roh-Kai openly guffaws at Xenarchy's comment about orc women. "Our clan has a single female shaman who is deeply respected for her wisdom and counsel to the war chief. Other than that, our females have only the status of their mate and an unmated female of our kind has only the status of her father. We do not allow our females to take professions or even leave their own hold without their mate. Other clans are different, I have heard. Of course, there is clan bloody axe and their half-blood b****,"Roh-Kai spits on the ground in disgust"but those worms do not deserve to be called orcs." Current Campaign
