Background:
____Roh-Kai was once a member of the Bear Claw where he was apprenticed to the clan smith in between mercenary assignments. Talented and a quick learner, Roh-Kai was doing well for himself until an unintended slight insulted the honor of the hold leader. Clan custom dictated that such disputes be solved through force of arms. Though physically strong himself, Roh-Kai was no match for the skill and experience of the chief. Yet even after sustaining wounds that would have killed most of his brethren, Roh-Kai would not surrender.
____Impressed by his tenacity and warrior spirit his life was spared, yet his transgression was too great to be forgiven. Where he once proudly bore the brand of his clan, he was branded an exile.
_____Now he wanders from place to place, making a living as a mercenary or a smith's assistant. But Roh-Kai is growing unsatisfied with that life. He has no greater wish than to live amongst his fellow orcs once more, but doubts that such a thing will ever happen.

Personality (answers to questions):
____BLUF: Roh-Kai has lived his entire life within Clan Bear Claw. He is familiar with their customs and traditions and is himself an example of those traditions. He has great respect for those who uphold the values of his clan; physical strength, honour, discipline, dedication; but feel anything from contempt to hatred for those who do not hold themselves to his standards.
____Roh-Kai has a respect for the power of magic and recognizes that those most skilled in its use are often wise and influential individuals in their own right. This respect has it's limits though. Roh-Kai despises those who would use magic for deceit or to affect the minds of others. Similarly, he is contemptuous of those who use magic for menial tasks as he sees this as a greatly weak and lazy.
_____Roh-Kai has a purely practical education. He is very well versed in the uses of arms and armour as well as their construction and upkeep. He is a skilled fighter who has developed his skill through practice, study and training. However, he has almost no formal education and feels no need for one. He can read basic Orc but can not write it and has no literacy in any other language.
_____The law of the Bear Claw Clan is morality for Roh-Kai. It is superior to all other codes and tolerates no question or scrutiny. He will follow the expected codes of behaviour while in other territories, but expects others to respect the codes of his people when interacting with him.
_____Roh-Kai was a warrior of the Bear Claw Clan. In this role he patrolled the borders of their territory, participated in battles with the other clans, and worked in small groups that had been hired by other races to serve as shock troops or guards. He was also an apprentice smith responsible for forging and maintaining the weapons and armour of his clan. His most prized possessions are his double axe which was forged by his master and his armour which he forged himself. He is meticulous in his care of both.

Appearance:
Roh-Kai is why the stereotype about Orcs lives strong. He stands larger than any human at six and a half feet tall. Broad in the shoulders and powerfully muscled, he has skin of a dark green and two inch tusks jut from his lower jaw. Most of his body is covered by an armour of overlapping plates that look almost like dragon scales. This armour shows the wear of many battles through its numerous dents and scratches, but it is just as obviously well cared for and there is no question that it has few weak points. Strapped to his back is a monstrous weapon with two large axe blades at each end. A smaller axe hangs off his belt as does a wicked looking crossbow. If the equipment wasn't indication enough, the scars are a clear indication that Roh-Kai has lived this long by killing those who have tried to kill him.
