Sorry to let everyone down, but though I'm really keen to play this one, I just haven't had the time to get my head around the system properly - real life and all that (not to mention a number of other PbPs and face to face games). Apologies also for taking some time to let you all know - I've been hoping I'd get a chance to learn it quick and still get up and running, but it just hasn't happened, so I'm pulling the pin now.
Enjoy the game guys, and sorry for any inconvenience.
Having instructed the musicians to begin a stately, triumphant piece, Rogr Aglondier turns back to the room. In his simple yet immaculate blue robes of state, he accepts a delicate white wine fom a passing servant and moves into the crowd. Spotting the regents of Roesone and Endier, he moves towards them with a friendly expression.
"Welcome, my lords," he begins, with a nod to each. "I hope you are enjoying your first state visits to the Free City?"
Spotting Lilibet heading towards the terraxe, Rogr stands, taking the opportunity of the break between tunes to clear his throat loudly. "Lords and ladies, welcome to the hall of the Free City of Ilien. Such a meeting has not occurred in the short time that I have held the regency of this land, and so it is that I welcome you with open arms." Count Aglondier's voice is strong and clear, a ringing baritone, and while his words are fair and courtly, traces of his common upbringing remain.
Rogr gazes around the room. "Later on, I hope to have a short council with my fellow heads of state, but for now, please be merry, and indulge yourselves as you wish in the hospitality of Ilien, the land that is friend to all."
His official greeting over, Rogr walks smoothly over towards the small orchestra to speak to the conductor.
Just so you all know, I haven't gone AWOL, just enjoying the meetings while working up a suitably loquacious greeting speech for a wizard-regent with Diplomacy +13... Your host will get the official business out of the way shortly!
Alrighty! GM, has the BR wiki been updated by any chance? Or could you clarify those questions I asked about my treasury/holdings/magic cache in the Recruitment thread? Cheers :)
Pg 30 has the treasury info (15 GB + 8 GB in my personal reserve), as well as the arcane library - the cache of magic is on pg 31. Some of the holding info is scattered through the text on pp 24-7, but all the holdings (including the two churches' temples and el-Hadin's guild) are on a handout/card. They are as follows:-
Re: character profile, I have yet to do my background or appearance, I may tweak my gear by adding some scrolls, and I'm just waiting on some clarification on some things from the GM, after which I'll put up my domain stuff as well. But basically all my decisions are made.
