About Rogar UngartDwarf Druid 2
Bio
However the voyage long and dangerous was the lone dwarves end a pack of dangerous hungry wolves tore him apart Rogar was not found by the vicious pack and was then saved by an old Shaman Jason. Jason took in the young boy and raised him as his own(along with his and the Guards belongings) unaware of his origins. He lived alone with Jason in his hut out in the Savannah Jason taught him much as he grew up he was very different than other dwarves. Over the years Jason saw Rogars bond and power over earth and took this as a sign to train him to become a Shaman (Druid) of earth. Rogar took his training seriously and easily came to bond with nature. By the time Rogar was in his 30s Jason was already a fragile old man Rogar stayed with him till the day he passed away. Jason's death was hard on Rogar and was his first time of sorrow in his life he did not know witch direction to turn or what he would do next. He stayed in the hut for a few years after Jason died the sorrow never lifted from his heart and his life was never the same. He one day came across a secret compartment under a rug in the hut, a box lay in there Rogar written across the top he immediately took out the box curious as to what it might be, all that lay inside was a small scroll case lid closed tight looked as if it had never been open. Inside was a note Rogar attempted to read (was written in Dwarven he was only 2 and had not learned to speak his kinds language) though he could not make any words accept one strangely written in common "Kazmuk". The name brought many painful thoughts to his head and burnt inside his chest even though he knew not the name. Many memories flashed back in his mind of his life in the Gorge he did not remember the place or what it was he knew it related to his past, Jason had never spoken of his past and changed the subject when any conversation across about his past he thought something important must lie on the note and he was going to find out what and find out his past. Having no knowledge of anything of the outside world and never having went anywhere without Jason he found himself lost in thought as to how he would act next. He searched the hut everywhere for for any map or other notes that could help him decide where to go next he would not stay that was for sure, though he found nothing he did remember the one time Jason had taken him to Solku a Village a few days walk from his hut he thought this the best place to go. He was new to all of civilization and had never been in the settlement or talked to another man except Jason in all his life. He was astonished at the sight of the city and of how the peoples lived he knew no one and did not know who to ask once again he finds himself in a strange predicament not knowing where to turn. He remembered of Taverns something Jason had mentioned once place with all the drunks but that is not the important part also a great place for information and rumors someone had to have known Jason in this village and he was determined to find that person. The stench was the first thing he noticed in the Tavern followed by the countless Drunks spouting there gibberish what information could I possibly find here he thought and then walked to the counter before he was stopped by a young and Perky man. "Excuse me young Dwarf, Sorry to interrupt but do you by chance know the hermit Jason"spouts the man as he confronts Rogar "Jason? You know him..." "Why yes well, not personally you see I am running some errands for Tremas long friends with the hermit he is but he hasn't seen him for well few years I take it"The man interrupts. Rogar stands still having no words to respond he just stares of in the distance."The names Rufus and you are..."Rufus says breaking the strange silence."Rogar..."he says in response "Pleasure to meetcha Rogar, wait Rogar as in the Hermits son a Dwarf? Tremas has gotta see this, Sir Rogar I believe there is someone awaiting you"Says Rufus. A confused look crosses Rogars face confused as to what Rufus is getting at."Tremas is a friend of your father young Dwarf how is the old man...""He...has passed"Rogar interjects A saddened look appears in Rufus's eyes."I am sorry to hear that...please if your come with me I think Tremas would like to meet you"He says in a solemn voice. Rufus brought Rogar direcly to Tremas in his office. The news brought pain to Tremas thogh he was more or less expecting that the old man had passed Tremas immediately ask if Rogar had found anything in the hut before coming here when Rogar pulled out hte scroll case Tremas' Eyes go wide "I don't suppose you have read them?"Tremas says as Rogar places the case on his table "I cannot I know not the word written there or whatever language it may be"Tremas laughs heartily at Rogar statement "A dwarf who cannot read Dwarven you have much to learn young druid"A confused look appears on Rogars face"Of your past I mean Jason told me of you when he first found you that night"More painful thoughts appear in Rogars mind from that night the pain grows strong and he falls unconscious onto the floor. He awakes the next morning in bed "You awake Rogar Tremas wishes to speak with you" Rufus calls from across the room. "What happened..."Rogar whispers quietly to himself as he gets dressed. "Meet you at his office." Rufus calls out as he exits the room. Rogar turns to his bed and notices the scroll case on a small table beside his bed he quickly goes to grab it and then heads to Tremas' office. Tremas takes the scroll case as Rogar enters the room and begins to read it aloud to him and explain his situation:
Rogar took this hard very hard for all his life before now he felt a free man the burden on his shoulder weighs him down Rogar asks what he must do. Tremas taught him the language of his people and more of his past and people over his years living with Tremas he kept his belifs as a Druid strong inside him still. He does not wish to lead a Dwarven clan and devises a simple plan he would find Kazmuk deliver the letter reclaim his home and Give Kazmuk the honor of 4th king of Goruun Gorge To this avail Tremas sent Rufus out with Rogar though it was against his will. He has traveled far in search since that time and has become more familiar with civilization though he may not like there ways he can still engage in open conversation with people (not that he talks much anyway)years of search have brought him no satisfaction and Rufus' death (of old age for he was only a human) was very hard on him he has grown more of a bond with civilization and even took to worshiping Abadar. Rumors as to Kazmuks whereabouts have lead him back to Varisia and the town Middleport. Through some mishaps of events on the fairy he boarded he has found himself allied with a group of adventurers also headed for Cauldron though they have separate motives. They shared there tales amost one another on the boat ride to Riddleport though Rogar kept his past hidden from all convesation. There time in town way no walk in the park as the four of his compainion got them self worked up in a tavern brawl something that Rogar predicted Darian would have worked up anyway, though his friends prevailed they were still blamed for the uproar. Rogar himself has no liking for tavern however witch in term lead him to avoid the nasty brawl anyway instead he went to a inn with Soth and bought rooms for the night. At the tavern he heard of goblin raids near Cauldron witch may interfere with his trek. He investigated the rumor and wished to learn further so he headed to the local library to learn a thing or two about goblin nature and the mighty town of Cauldron. While he was visiting the library his new friend returned to the tavern to meet up with him and Soth and told story of their encounter. They also heard rumors of the goblin raids. Based on what Rogar knew of the raids and his new found information from the library he found that these raid were far different than that of the goblins normal devious nature the raids were also to...organized he returned at once to report to Soth only to find his friends return from a gruesome brawl. They considered there action and decided it would be best to put a stop to these raids and find out what may be behind them. They also learnt of the bounty on the goblins head which immediately sparked Darain's attention. The group spent the night and then immediately set off on the road to Cauldron. Several days passed until they came by the two story inn the lucky monkey came into sight. The group makes a pit stop here to gather supplies and learn more of the goblin attacks... About Rogar
