Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Sorry for dropping out, life happened, and I'm not sure I can keep on top if it enough to contribute to the game, which is said because it was shaping up to be a great story :(

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

'What're ya shooting at ladie? I canna see anything out thah. Make sure ya don't hit tha boatman ifen he comes around. Rogar says to Drovya. The plane seems to be getting to the dwarf somewhat, and he is becoming increasingly moody.

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Hello?

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Woooooo, game killer :P

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

While I'm at it, why not Fernando

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

An amusing parody of Hey there Delilah

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Perception:1d20 ⇒ 1
Heal:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Rogar is too busy fussing over Drovya's bites to notice anything apparently...

Rogar helps Arasmas tend to the nasty looking insect bites, muttering something about being able to fix it if he had a properly stocked apothecary...

After tending to Drovya he moves to the edge of the river, 'It's not natural this place' he states, 'To...' he begins to invoke his god's name before realising where he is, '... cross this river would be a good idea' he finishes lamely before shuffling away from the edge.

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

'Aye, that wasn't so hard now, damn brute of a creature. We should get moving I reckon, doesn't do to linger to long.' Rogar states, matter-of-factly before clipping his waraxe to his belt and brushing some goop off his armor.

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Not sure why everyone is rolling fort, I would have thought a shriek was a will save? Here's a will save, if it is indead a fort, just adjust the modifier accordingly. Will:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Rogar shivers at the shriek, but is otherwise unaffected. As the creature tries to bite through his plate he takes the opportunity to swing his axe at its head.

Attack:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Damage:1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Init:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Also, shoulda readied an attack, oh well, next time ;)

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Also, equipement and encumberance all sorted and up(I think i've got most things covered).

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Heh, well, the Paladin is an honourable soul, seems like he's a good bet to kick things off ;)

Paladins suck for stabbing things in the back :P

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Rogar stands quietly by as his new companions discuss the upcoming adventure, lost in his own thoughts. When the topic of lying comes up you can almost see his beard bristling at the thought of telling a lie, 'I'd rather ha' my tongue bit o' by a swamp rat!' he says in indignation, 'I'll leave tha falsehoods ta those of a more colourfull background'.

Needing no second invite he bows deeply to the Priestess and marches through the portal, Shield in front, Waraxe firmly clenched in hand and holy symbol tucked underneath his plate.

Perception1d20 ⇒ 8

Seeing and hearing nothing out of the ordinary, Rogar seems suprised as Arasmas seems to indicate something in the bush. Keeping his wits about him he nods and falls casually into step besides him.

When the bush is surrounded (If nothing jumps out of course}, Rogar calls out to the bushes, 'If you be friend, show your face!'

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

I love the concept, and if you're OK with slightly less frequent (but still regular) posts then I'm happy to keep going.

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Hmmmm, I'm beginning to suspect that I'll just drag the game down. I live in Australia, and am not always free to post much more then once or twice a day, but in the time I'm away the thread jumps forwards 20-30 posts.

Don't get me wrong, it's great that you've got an active group, but perhaps I'm not the best person for it.

I had thought of my holy symbom as hanging off a chain around his neck, as apposed to wraught into his armor (Although, that would be cool ;))

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Rogar marches down the square towards the college, his plate obviously well maintained, his holy symbol hung around his neck and a rucksack flug over his shoulder (The past couple of days have been super busy, sorry for my laxness in posting, I'll have my full inventory up this afternoon).

'Morning lads, sorry I'm late, had a bit o' an emergency at tha temple, how're we all traveling today.

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

You know, I had a reason for it being +4, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was, oh well, back down to +1 it goes...

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Rogar listens silently as the group discusses all things planar, most of it going over the poor Dwarfs head. He knocks back his beer, and starts on a second one to try stave off the headache he is getting.

Letting out a discreet belch, he turns to the priestess as she finishes saying, "...College tomorrow morning. Come prepared."

'Truth be told most of what's been said has gone right over my head, but I knew the poor lad, and I'll do my part in helping find 'im.'

When she's gone, he chucks a bag of coins to Arasmes, 'I can help if any o' us come ta harm, but it ne'er hurts to be prepared.'. He then turns to the rest of the group, 'I dunna know about you, but I've had a long day, and tomorrow looks ta be longer, so I'm off ta bed, lads.'

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

The day was long, the recent cold had bought with it a slew of illnesses, Rogar had spent much of it caring for those who should have known better then to try brave the temperatures without something warmer.

One thing which hadn't changed in the years since he had taken up service for Torag, and that was the Dwarf's thirst for ale. So it was with great anticipation that Rogar headed to his favourite watering hole, The Dry Wind. It would be later now, most likely only a few regulars left, but there was a beer with his name on it, and he was damned if he was going to miss out.

Perception1d20 ⇒ 18

Walking into the common room, Rogar scans the room for familier faces, and spies a few by the bar. As he starts towards it a cloaked figure turns her head his way and he recognises the High Priestess Tikhade.

"M'Lady he says as he approaches, "It's an unexpected pleasure seeing you here, it certainly brightens a long day."

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Sorry, been super busy, I'll get a post or two off a lil' later today.

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Le sigh, I did have a post written up here, but stupid browser nuked it...

When I get to level 6 I can take a mercy to remove disease, and lvl. 7 I can take a feat to give me remove poison mercy as well. But until then I can't help out on that front.

As mentioned, I wouldn't stress about not having a cleric, you don't need a cleric for heals (that's just a stereotype ;)), I'll buy a couple of wands to help share around and that should do us, with my channels and lay on hands (With the Hospitlar archetype it doesn't cost me Lay on Hands to channel).

I've got the backstory up. I'm happy with my character, although I haven't shopped for mundane items yet.

As a side note, I can't use wands, as I don't have Use Magic Device (DC20)

Male Dwarf Hospitaler Paladin/5

Yar, I was half asleep when I wrote that down, I'll beef it out soon. Dwarfs and encumberance aren't so bad, but I will be keeping a track of it anyway. I still need to kit myself out with some non-magical equipment. I'm happy to start in Katapesh.

I think I'll work into the Backstory that Rogar found his way to serving with the temple of Torag in Katapesh, and got to be acquainted with Father Bahjet through instances such as helping rebuild the orphanage etc.

Character sheet is done (I think) Magic Items are mostly chosen (I'v got 4g left spare, but I'm thinking of saving up for a Phylactory of Channeling. That 2d6 extra healz per channel is nice, and it's only 10,500). And first draft of a back story is up (Will polish).

Might I suggest that we continue this discussion in a discussion thread rather then a recruitment thread?

Hmmm, thanks for reminding me about the saves. As for the Cha, it does effect the heals, I.E. # of channels, which is the archetype I'm going for, but I'll think about it.

Chugging through stats at the moment. I'm going with the Hospitlar archtype for something different. Reduces my smite evils, ups my Channels.

HP:4d10 + 20 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 7) + 20 = 38(10 for first dice, 10 for con)

Also, starting wealth is just the starting wealth for level 5's?
