Well, this alias is an odd character, but it's a bit unusual. He's starting as a ghost, which can only happen with GM permission.

Since effectively eliminating much of the spell list makes this into a different game, this is not what I signed up for.

In the future, please list off major house rules like this in the recruitment. Changing the rules in such a major way later is just a waste of everybody's time and I consider it disrespectful.

If you are changing this to make it this hard on casters are you changing the expectation that we bring perps in alive? If so then this is fine.

But having only two damaging spells in my repertoire for the entire campaign is going to be awfully dull. I think arcane casters get three and wizards have a metamagic spell.

I would have expected a change this fundamental to the game to have been listed in the recruitment instead of being sprung on us in game.

Can we still do targeted spells at -1 to do nonlethal? What about save spells?

I haven't seen the inventor either. I expect the three subclasses will play very differently from each other.

I was more concerned with healing when it looked like I might have to frontline. I think I'll be okay, especially if somebody picks up the skill feat.

Rocky will look at the map on the wall of the precinct and look at each point. Despite there being plenty of map pins, he just taps each location.

Which one is closest? Is there an obvious path between them?

California here for time zone issues. (on a clear night I can hear the Disneyland fireworks)

Fortunately, I now work from home so I can have my home computer on while I'm at work and post.

At least at the start I'll be the only person that can heal me, unless somebody else can do negative energy.

Rocky watches as one of the officers leaves. He seems to have little sympathy for walking off the post. But he does turn to the others, nodding at Greyjay and TT.

Rocky is on the older side, being in his late fifties. Or at least when he was still alive. His leather armor is worn unevenly, evidence of parts being replaced over time. But the badge is new. Though the armor is solid, he is decidedly less so, being a little translucent with no color.

"Well, I should probably mention this, as it might change how some of you feel about me." He's solemn about it. "The rumors are true. I had an orcish grandfather. Helps to avoid banging my shins in the dark."

With the tension lessened, he continues. "I also died last week, and I'm still getting used to it. Don't know what happened, apparently they drugged me first. Hopefully I can find that out and bring 'em in. 'Figured keeping up with the job's the best way to do that. Wouldn't know what to do with myself after thirty years on the beat."

Greycloaks:
I expect that he's known Greyjay for a while, and would have met TT on her short stint there. Rocky was a beat officer. He wasn't looking for a promotion. While he was well-liked, he's definitely not organized enough for a leadership role.

He was your basic cop, with no exotic skills (no class levels). He was friendly with lots of people on the beat and usually started dealing with things by talking.

He had a wife, but they have been separated for nearly a decade. Tanissa's a jeweler who moved to the Ivy district after they split. Their daughter Jialissa is 28, and works a horse trainer in the outskirts of the City.

EL messaged me that you might have an opening? Seems like a good point to add a new character if you choose me.

Rocky used to be just a no-class cop. Start with talking, and if that didn't work, hit them with a nightstick. Since being dead, he seems to have spells and lots of strange abilities. He's still getting used to this.

As a former Greycloak, he'd probably know Tanterra or at least know of her. I can see him out on patrol with her when she noticed something Odd that led her to something I didn't notice at all. He expects that she'll make a great detective once she gets through the politics.

Looking at the group, I can step up to the front when I need to. While I've got lower HP, my AC is OK, and I resist physical 3. I'll eventually get other resistances. Chill touch will likely be his go-to melee cantrip.

At this point, I can't go through walls and I only fly at ground level. (unless EL wants to use some of the optional rules). I'll get those eventually, but only in limited ways.

I have negative healing, so I take care of myself with my harm spells. Though I wouldn't mind if Tanaterra eventually picked up the stitch flesh skill feat to use medicine on me. :)

For exploration, scout and avoid notice would be the two I'm best at.

For the record, in my games I do social skills like EL. Use the words that they put, but treat it as if was said at the level from the roll. That always seemed the best way to keep both parts.
