A simple questions:
- if I use emulator (most likely AMIDuOS) to play on my desktop will I have a problem buying a season bundle?
- will I be able to collect gold (not that I care much since I'll probably never buy chests)?

"You may recharge (□ or reveal) a card that has the Divine or Ranged trait to add 1d4 and the Divine and Magic traits to your check against a monster."

Can you use that power if you already used Ranged weapon on the check? And if you can, can you use the same weapon to trigger this power or it should be another one?

I know that the rules state that you can only use one card of each type per step, but those are two different steps [determine skill used and adding dies to check] so there should be no reason why you couldn't use same weapon for both. Or am I reading the rules wrong?

1. Non-combat checks to defeat monsters and damage: if I fail a non-combat check to defeat a Monster/Henchman/Villain [like Pirate Council and Charisma/Diplomacy check] do I still take damage like I would if I failed a combat check?

2. If I understand it correctly, revealing a card does not count as playing it, so I could reveal Old Salt's Bandana to add Swashbuckling to the check and then recharge Emerald of Dexterity to use my Dexterity die on the check. Am I understanding it correctly? What happens if I recharge Emerald first... can I still reveal Old Salt's Bandana? And if I have two items with reveal power, can I use them both?

We recently bought S&S and are still trying to work out the kinks and figure how things should work. So we would like to have a few clarifications on how things work:

1. Jirelle and her Structural damage reduction: when does it apply? Initially we thought it was only when she was on the ship but then we saw FAQ entry about Tempest Cay increasing structural damage as long as someone is there [regardless of where ship is] which made us wonder if Jirelle's ability also work even when she's not on the ship.

2. Alahazra's scrying ability: when can it be used and how many times per turn can it be used? We figured it can be used as many times as she had Divine cards in hand [since there is no limit listed] but a friend that have another copy of the game claimed it can only be used once per turn.

3. Can Feiya's ability to reduce difficulty check be used against Henchmans and Villains if their type is "monster"?

4. Can Potion of Glibness [which allow a character to succeed at Diplomacy Check] be used to defeat villain Pirate Council [since check to defeat it is Charisma/Diplomacy]?

Last night in a game a player tried to play both Noxious Bomb and Pistol one after the other which lead to minor discussion about whether it can be played or not.

The rules state that you can only play 1 card of each type during each step, so going by that I assume you can since one is an Item and the other is a Weapon and unlike Buckler Gun, Noxiuos Bomb does not say that playing it count as playing a Weapon.

If it can be played, how many dice would be rolled on a check? The additional 3d6 is a given [2 from Noxious bomb, 1 from Pistol] but would we add Dexterity/Ranged die once or twice?

On a related question, what would happen if someone wanted to play Noxious Bomb and Cutlass [or any other Melee weapon] or Noxiuos Bomb and Force Missile [or any other Attack spell]? Would the player doing that get to choose between Dexterity/Ranged and Strength/Melee die [or Arcane/Divine if he used spell] or would he be able to add both dies to the check?
