Down in the ship, Lima takes one look at the patrolling mephit and decides that this is not the perfect time to ask Spa for some help with that second book Prae brought her ... He stops and makes eye contact with Lu. When she hesitates he makes a "move along" motion before continuing his patrol. Ringwald clearly thinks highly of himself.
Anyone who passes Sparels room sees Ringwald on guard with a stick weilded at port arms marching back and forth in front of the door.

A blue streak Comes zooming out of the crows near to land beside Sparel. He pats the elemental creature as he continues his conversation.
Ringwald lands lands about ten feet from Belor and eyes him warily. He's cleary listening in. It's unclesrnif he understands or not.
Ringwald looks at the spot his halter is no linger standing. His jaw slacks slightly in a look of surprise. Then the little mephit crosses his arms and looks thoroughly dejected. With a huff he pushes off his feet and zips up to the crowd nest leaving a very temporary corkscrew vapor trail in his wake.
Ringwald points the "spear" (aka. Blunt stick) at Lima as she comes near. It's more cute than actually threatening. The look in his eyes after she speaks is one of consideration. After a moment the Mephit shrugs, puts his weapon at port arms, and opens the door a crack to walk in the room casually. He doesn't bother (or remember) to close the door behind him and it's left open a few inches. Sparel and Ringwald are around the corner and you can't see them directly, but you hear the occurrence.
Ringwald posts himself outside the door with a stick wielded like a polearm. He shoo's away anyone who gets near the door and seems like they might disturb his master. Most of the time he just marches back and forth at port arms. However, he jumps every once in awhile as light flashed under the door followed by all manner of sounds associated with powerful spell casting.
The small creature looks around curiously. His form doesn't seem completely substantial.
