1 person marked this as a favorite.

I would just think of it this way:
There is a very public duel with two master swordsmen going at it. The spoiled noble's son says "Daddy, I want to learn how to be in a duel" So rich daddy pays the loser of the duel (to save money as the winner would be too expensive) to train his son. So this master swordsman trains the son with his favorite weapon, the Aldori Dueling sword. A month later the son has a basic understanding of the sword and how to use it, and the swordsman having fulfilled the contract leaves town.
This young lad is trained in the weapon, does not have the weapon and retailers may even refuse to sell it to him.

I have a similar question. If a archetype feat is marked as both an archetype and a skill feat, and I take it as a skill feat.
Does it count towards the two additional feat requirement?

My hesitation is the example in the CRB pg 219, says they do not count as far as the Fighter Resiliency feat is concerned.

Please note this is a CONTROL Water spell which is Evocation, to Create Water it would need to be a Conjuration spell (which Create Water is).
This draws the water from an existing source, so river, lake, ocean all work fine. You can not Raise the level of a puddle as there is no where for you to draw water from.

I do agree that the name of the spell is CONTROL water, so it in no way can create or destroy water, it works with already existing water.

The spell description also says "Area: 50' wide by 50' long" I take that to mean any water in that area is affected. So if a stream runs through the middle of that area, the water of the stream would raise/lower but the area that is dry land would remain unaffected.

*double checks 3.5, P1, P2, and Errata Goodberry*

Oh wow, yeah, it’s less restrictive than it’s ever been.

Goodberry now replaces any need for a cleric, goodberry (1d6+4)is more powerful that heal spell (1d8), and the druid can refocus and cast it every 10 minutes. So at first level a druid can heal for 240-480 hit points in an 8 hour shift.

With the errata on Goodberry, the druid is way more powerful healer that any cleric!
Cast goodberry as two actions, refocus, cast goodberry, refocus ...
A cleric can heal for 1-8hp three times a day (three first level spells)
A druid with a pocket full of berries can heal 5-10hp every 10 minutes. Which is 30-60hp per hour, 240-480hp in a 8 hour shift. All this at first level.
