Silver Crusade

There are three of us in our group that are interested. Let me know!

Silver Crusade

Just got mine in the mail yesterday...very nice product!

Silver Crusade

It's still legal in North Dokata I think.

Silver Crusade

I am in for sure for 2010...and hoping it will be in Seattle or someplace close to a major airport.

Silver Crusade

Anything going to be made for Mac users?

Silver Crusade

Wow, thanks for all the advice and feedback! I knew I was on the right track when I met so many cool Pathfinder's at Gen Con!

Thanks again all!

Silver Crusade

So, I went to Gen Con last week and had a chance to play in a couple of Pathfinder games...I think they were the "Devil We Know" parts I and II. The adventures were a blast, the GM's great and the players were fantastic (and passionate about Pathfinder). After the games I stopped by the Paizo booth, talked to as many senior Paizo people as I could find and bought as much Pathfinder stuff as I could fit into my bags and bring home.

So...I'm all in now and have decided to make Pathfinder my game of choice. Our group is going to start with the Crypt of the Everflame and will move over to the new Pathfinder adventure path in late September. I'm hoping that at least two of the adventures will be written so I can get a better handle on the story line, npc's, etc.

The question I have for you all is this, "Am I on the right track?" Is there something else you all would recommend as a way to get started with the Pathfinder world? I also bought the campaign setting and a few other books and am a bit overwhelmed as of now at how little I know about Golarion. Any advice or suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks!

Silver Crusade

I ended up signing up for Pathfinder #29 The Devil We Know Part 1 and #30 The Devil We Know Part 2, as well as the Pathfinder Society Event, Betrayal in Absalom. I'm also going to check out the seminars. Oh yeah, I also got all four of the True Dungeon events! W00t!

Silver Crusade

For Example, this game looks great!

Title: #31 Sniper in the Deep

Description: When rumors stir of a hidden treasure ship in Absalom's Flotsam Graveyard, the Pathfinder Society sends you beneath the Inner Sea to investigate. Mayhem, undersea adventure, and chaos are to be had in this rousing rampage beneath the roiling waters of Absalom's harbor. (Tiers 5–9 by David Eitelbach & Hank Woon)

Are there pre-gen characters for this game?

Also, if the game is moving from 3.5 to the "real" Pathfinder RPG at Gen Con how are players going to be moving their cahracters from 3.5 to the new system?

Silver Crusade

Okay, I get that...but what if I "want" to play in a different Tier game? There are a couple that are for a higher Tier of player that look like really great adventures, could I fudge my way into one of those and just make a character that is the appropriate level?

Silver Crusade

I'm signed up to go to Gen Con this yea rnad would love to play in some of the Pathfinder games being offered. However, I'm not sure if I qualify to play in some of the events as they are marked Tier 1 - 7 or Tier 5 - 9. What exactly does that mean? Can a vetern rpg player who is new to Pathfinder (I've read the whole beta book) play in the Tier events if I am new to the society?

Thanks!

Silver Crusade

Hellos!

Okay, so I have a pretty good understanding of the Pathfinder beta rules...what do i do now?

Everythng seems fairly easy to play but I don't know enough about the Adventure Path's. I have the Runelords and Second Darkness series but I'm not sure if I should start there with the beta rules, or run one of the using 3.5? Another option is to run my players thru a Paizo module and adapt it to the beta rules.

Anyone have any ideas for a Pathfinder noob?

Silver Crusade

Silly question, but have there been any major changes to the product as compared to the beta release?

Silver Crusade

I'd pay $200 for a boxed set.

I know it has already been mentioned but I'd also like to see:

*DM Screen
*Flip Mats like the tavern, cathedral, etc that would match the maps in the Pathfinder Adventure path mods.
*More player handouts for the Pathfinder Adventures, even if they are just dowloads from the Paizo site. Players love that stuff!
*Plastic Minis for pathfinder...sorry, I can't paint :)

Silver Crusade

I started my 4e version of Runelords over the weekend and used Scott's info from Tales from the Rusty Dragon. The game rocked! Thanks Scott! We ended our first session with the players heading towards the Glass Works and everyone is excited for our next game (in 2 weeks).

Silver Crusade

Hello all!

I am in the process of trying to get my group to switch from 4e to Pathfinder. Currently I am waiting for the beta book I ordered to arrive but was hoping someone could give me a few bullet points on how the Pathfinder rpg differs from 3.5. Any info is much appreciated so I can pass it to the other players in my group.

Thanks!

Silver Crusade

Either one of you! :)

Scott, I have read your previous posts on your initial ideas of where the players should be by the end of the campaign, but have you (or anyone) broken it down by Runelord mod? I guess what I am asking is, where should the characters be after each adventure in the path?

I really apprecaite everything you all have done to convert this to 4e. My group really wants to play 4e but the adventures WotC is putting out now are terrible, imo. The Pathfinder series is awesome and I hope the conversion works out!

Silver Crusade

How did/do you handle the party advancing levels? When did they advance and what level should they be at the end of the first mod?

Silver Crusade

Scott, you rock!

I am very interested in this and hope to start a 4e game using Runelords next week.

Silver Crusade

3 people marked this as a favorite.

For all of you that are interested in Greyhawk take a look at the Castles & Crusades game system. Gary Gygax was involved with C&C and they have been/are producing all of Gary's stuff. Of course, WotC owns the Greyhawk name, so the products are called Castle Zygag. They seem to be very adaptable to any system.

Silver Crusade

So, where can i find the map of Varisia?

Silver Crusade

I love that idea!
