Reta Nimbly dodges the harpy's attacks, and responds with her own weapon after glaring menacingly. <1> Intimidating Glare: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 <2> Stabsies!: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 5) + 4 = 15

Reta will...climb up the ladder. NOT pretty! NOT pretty! NOT pretty! Athletics, Untrained: 1d20 + 5 - 4 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 - 4 + 4 = 17
If she has an action left after climbing: Stabsies!: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 3) + 4 = 9 More like "swishies", but menacing nonetheless!

Will DC18: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Sooo...pre...wait, what was Reta doing? Reta snaps out of her reverie, looks around, and wonders what to do. @GM, did I get any information out of Battle Assessment in round 1?
Female Goblin Rogue/5 | HP 56/56 AC 22 TAC 20 Nimble Dodge | F+8 R+10 W+5 | Perc +6 Darkvision | +1 Shortsword +10/+6 2d6+4 P/S
Will DC18: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Reta stops short, peeking out from behind her rock formation. Soooooo pretty... She clambers among the rocks and boulders, never taking her eyes off the harpy. Soooooo pretty... Three moves through mostly Difficult Terrain.

I assume the rocky squares are Difficult Terrain? Reta eyes Ryolle carefully. <1> Battle Assessment
Battle Assessment:
With careful observation, you identify an enemy's strengths and weaknesses. The GM rolls your Perception check against the Stealth or Deception DC (whichever is higher) of an enemy who is not concealed from you or unseen by you. The GM might apply a penalty for the distance between you and the enemy. You can't use battle assessment more than once on the same enemy. She dances daintily to her left, singsonging a goblin nursery rhyme in a high-pitched, little-girl voice as she spins and flourishes. What do you do with a wooden wall?
Tra-la-la-la-la! Burn them up, burn them down,
<2> Stride Once she reaches the relative darkness of the wall, she melds into it, holding a finger over her lips. Shhhhhhhh.... <3> Hide

Reta does the goblin Dance of You-Can't-Touch-This, but does not have any buffs to cast. She generally sneaks from bush to bush while exploring. Stealth for Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Reta Sneaksie-Sneaksies through the brush, coming up behind Red unawares (she hopes). <1> Sneak
With a mighty goblin war-cry, she strikes out at Red. Yip! Yip! Die! <3> Shortsword, Flanking: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 2 = 27 Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 5) + 4 = 15 + Sneak Attack: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4

Reta hunches low to the ground, hoping to pass unnoticed among the bigger folk. <1> Sneak: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 4 = 29 From her hiding place behind a bush, she calls forth magical cold at the Super Ghast. <2><3> Ray of Frost: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 I assume I'm not hidden now, but prepared to Sneak again next round.

Reta dances the Dance Of We Did It Together! Yay, Teamwork! Perception DC19 or Lore (Goblins) DC5: Deception, Trained: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 3 = 19 It's actually the Dance Of Goblin Superiority Over All Lesser Races, And That Includes You, Even If You're Also A Goblin. The dance takes longer to pronounce than to actually perform.
Female Goblin Rogue/5 | HP 56/56 AC 22 TAC 20 Nimble Dodge | F+8 R+10 W+5 | Perc +6 Darkvision | +1 Shortsword +10/+6 2d6+4 P/S
Reta hops up to the bridge Acrobatics, Trained: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 4 = 28 and moves silently to flank the remaining minotaur. Action 1: Sneak Stealth, Trained: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 4 = 23 Sneak rules say I fail if I "don’t have cover or aren’t concealed from them at any time during your movement", which seems to make it fairly useless for closing with enemies. Is that how you interpret that, GM? In any case, the minotaur should be flat-footed by being flanked anyway, so in this case it doesn't really matter, I believe. She strikes twice with a wicked glint in her eye, shouting a traditional Goblin war-cry. Yippee-ki-yay, cow-boy! Shortsword: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 Damage, Sneak Attack: 2d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 4 + (1, 6) = 18

Demoralize:
With a sudden shout, a well-timed taunt, or a cutting put-down, you can shake an enemy’s resolve. Choose a creature within 30 feet of you who you sense or see and who can sense or see you. Attempt an Intimidation check against that target’s Will DC. If the target does not understand the language you are speaking, you’re not speaking a language, or they can’t hear you, you take a –4 circumstance penalty to the check and demoralize loses the lingual trait. Success The target becomes frightened 1. Critical Success The target becomes frightened 2 and is Fleeing until the end of its next turn. Critical Failure You can’t attempt to demoralize the target again for 10 minutes. I guess I forgot to actually make the Intimidation check. Demoralize, Trained: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 3 = 25 Current Round Reta calls forth a frigid ray, then strikes at the minotaur with her sword. It looks like from the rules (pg 192-196) that casting a spell in combat only provokes AoO's from Fighters. Not sure if that applies here -- if so I'll take the AoO and learn something. Ray of Frost, vs TAC: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Short Sword: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 6) + 4 = 16
I take back all the bad things I've ever said about you, Dicebot.

Reta nimbly dodges both of the minotaur's mighty swings, and responds with a rude gesture and an intense glare at him. Intimidating Glare:
You can Demoralize those around you with a mere glare. When you do, Demoralize loses the auditory trait and gains the visual trait, and you don’t take a penalty when you attempt to Demoralize a creature that doesn’t understand your language or can’t hear you. She strikes twice with her sword. Shortsword: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26 Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 = 12

With Nimble Dodge, Reta's AC is 24 against melee or ranged attacks that she can see coming, so I think both strikes miss. Is there room under the bridge for a goblin to scurry? Is it Difficult Terrain?
Female Goblin Rogue/5 | HP 56/56 AC 22 TAC 20 Nimble Dodge | F+8 R+10 W+5 | Perc +6 Darkvision | +1 Shortsword +10/+6 2d6+4 P/S
Reta moves to the bridge abutment, where she crouches down and draws her sword, hoping the lumbering beasts will not notice her. Move, Hide, Draw Weapon HIDE, pg 158: You huddle behind cover or deeper into concealment
to become merely sensed, rather than seen (see page 302). The GM rolls your Stealth check in secret and compares the result to the Perception DC of each creature that could potentially see you but that you have cover against or are concealed from. If you successfully became sensed to a creature, but then cease to have cover against that creature or be concealed from it, it again sees you. Such creatures see you if you do anything other than Hide or Sneak, though the GM might allow you to perform a particularly unobtrusive action, activity, free action, or reaction without being noticed, possibly requiring another Stealth check. Success If the creature could see you, you’re now sensed by the creature instead of seen. If you were unseen by the creature, you remain unseen.

I think you were supposed to ask us how we were traveling. Stealth, Survival, ... anything can be an Initiative modifier if you can make a case for it. But Perception is the default, it seems. Okay, this is new so I may screw it up...one action for Battle Assessment, and two for Ray of Frost. Reta carefully studies her nearest opponent and then calls for a ray of frost at him. Reta slips a live frog she was licking back into one of her many pockets. Do we gots any contactses in Diobel? Is the survivors still in the safe house? Methinks we should be starting there.

Snorri:
Yeah, I realized too late that I got the number wrong, but since she's actually sincere it didn't really matter. My goal was mostly to foster a sense of possible deception since nobody trusts goblins. And nothing was taken from your pockets. Yet. :-)
Reta is enthusiastically smitten with her new friend Snorri. Big Strong Dwarf is good friend to have! Reta will be protected now. Reta dances the Dance of Dwarven Protection.
Good! Good! Reta needs a big strong Dwarf to protect her from bigger badder Baddies. Thanks, you! Thanks, you! Thanks, you! Reta moves toward Snorri with the apparent attempt of giving him a friendly hug. I think it's now Perception vs. Deception?
Perception DC15: Reta is not lying. She actually is thanking Snorri and trying to be friendly. Whether or not Snorri accepts the hug, she thanks him profusely for his offer of protection. Whether she's dumb enough to have missed his true intent, or savvy enough to play on his Dwarven sense of honor, you don't know.
