Any rogues in your group?

I think that the number of people on this thread showing off how "intelligent" they are is quite interesting, considering the subject of the thread. I wonder is there is one about the relationship between wisdom and charisma and developmental insecurities..

Totem Warrior archetype.

Agreed

I would go with a straight out Barbarian with no archetype.

Why are you cluttering the forum with this pointless thread? Do you really have nothing better to do than generate joke topics which make it that much harder for the rest of us to locate the serious conversations taking place on these boards?

Name one topic in these forums which has not been covered a bazillion times over.

yes I do , Mostly.
Like my most recent Character is
Half elf barbarian (WORKING TOWARD RAGE PROPHET)
currently lvl 1
Half elf for the two favored classes (barbarian/oracle)
St. 16
dx.12
cn. 14
in. 7
wi. 10
ch. 16
intimidate - 1 rank, +3 for class skill, +1 bully trait, +3 from half elf skill focus, +3 from strength (intimidating prowess feat), +3 from Charisma = 14
lvl 2 - intimidating glare rage power
lvl 3 - 1st lvl of oracle - battle mystery and lame curse( -10 move but can't be fatigued)
revelation - weapon mastery gives weapon focus
feat - dazzling display

It goes on from there but I got to get back to work and am sick of typing.

PCs are just characters in a grand story... how much input they have in that story is often up to them to decide, but if a PC passes, their body doesn't disappear is a puff of pink elephants and gum drops... they decay like everyone else, and are subject to the same spells and effects everyone else is. Don't like that the GM used you as a villan? There are spells that prevent you from being 'reused'... maybe have the foresight to prep for death when your job is to get swung at with all manner of magical weaponry. Just be glad he doesn't use your corpse as a meat production plant with that spell that renews flesh on a skeleton + purify food and drink for a band of ghouls you encounter shortly thereafter.

brilliant!

Awesome

My question is, that when using Nature's Whisper do you get your full CHA bonus or is it limited by the max dex of the armor? EX: Full Plate with a CHA of 16 , do you get the full +3 or just the +1 allowed with max dex?

Unless you're looking to be romantically involved or shipping someone, I don't really see the fascination with having someone with the opposite orientation game with you.

I mean, you'll never see someone say, "I'm not into chubby chicks, but I sure would love to game with a 'chubby chaser'" or "I'm not really into dating outside my race, but I'd love to game with some interracial couples".

To me, it just seems like it really shouldn't ever be the deciding point of whether or not to game with them.

I have friends that are homosexual. They are not really into gaming though. I wish they were because the people that I game with could use the exposure to maybe learn to tone down the homophobic comments that they make during the game. I have asked but they don't seem to get it. I guess what I was hoping is that when confronted with an actual LBGT interaction that they might realize that they are talking about a person(s).

Then again that maybe too much to ask from a bunch of gamer geek shut-ins.

This. People might be intolerant of various aspects of sexuality, but people are especially intolerant of LGBTQ persons and are very open about saying intolerant remarks about them. I've seen that myself in gamer groups that don't include openly LGBTQ members. As a common example, the phrase "that's so gay" used as "that's so lame/stupid" (a phrase I have berated my own friends for using) -- absolutely more intentional hateful things have been said, but it's that kind of passive homophobia that people think is "harmless" (but it's not) that needs to stop as well.

More to the point, I think it's not about wanting to game with a specific person of a preference per se, it's about increasing general visibility of LGTBQ persons in the gamer community. If they are visible and become part of the norm, it's more likely that acceptance and respect will be built.

It is NOT the same as something like an interracial couple (in most places) because very...

The people in my group are mostly non-confrontational. so, there is no danger physically involved.

Attempting to play a schizophrenic Oracle/Barbarian/rage prophet.
Oracle has ancestor mystery
Barbarian has spirit totems
Haven't reached rage prophet yet.

Those are very good points. Thanks for the tip. I like to take stats along with alignment into consideration when trying to portray my characters personality.
Like a rogue with a decent intelligence score but horrible wisdom and an alignment of Chaotic Neutral who has been paid to help a small group of farmers deal with a reoccurring problem with orcs raiding their farms. I may have him set some traps confront the orcs (sneak attack one) and get them to chase him back to the farm, through the traps, and use the farmers as man power to help take down the orc raiders. Even though he may forget to mention this plan to the farmers.

I think that it would be great to have a GLB or T in our gaming group. Though I hate to say it, there are a few people there that may be uncomfortable with it. (which is partly why I think that it would be great)

Not to instigate things, or drag this thread back from the dead but... How would you guys handle a character that dumped wisdom?
