The heavy, rhythmic thrum of the aggressive bass pulsed through the meeting room’s reinforced walls, turning the air into a chaotic soup of vibrations that clearly rankled the newcomer. Renvir sits at the near end of the table closest to the entrance, his charcoal-and-frost fur shimmering under the lodge’s sterile lights. He didn’t look toward the speakers; instead, he sat perfectly still, his head tilted slightly as if trying to filter a single voice out of a hurricane. His clouded, milky eyes remained fixed on a point somewhere in the middle distance, while his long, sensitive ears were pinned back against his skull, twitching with every aggressive beat of the music.
