Round Two: With a low growl, Reeta slashes Gorge of Gluttons at the foul horse.
Round One: "It be ugly! We kill dead like chief say!" "We kills it dead an' then kills it some more!" Reeta hisses in agreement with Mogmurch, beginning to froth at the mouth. Shaking Gorge of Gluttons in her fist, the balloon-headed goblin rushes toward what appears to be a gate further along the fence in order to reach the foul beast.
"Mmmmm! Yummies!" Reeta exclaims as she pops a piece of taffy into her mouth, lips smacking loudly as she chews vigorously. As her companions rummage through the loot, Reeta picks up the pearl and eyes it critically. "Hey Chuffy! Youse should give this to Lotty! Me bets she'd like it lots an' lots! Bet she'd be reeeallly 'preciative!" she suggests to her married companion with a wide, toothy leer. "Me takes this one!" Reeta says, reaching for the potion of bull's strength. "Me drinks it if we runs into Vorka!"
Reeta's knees begin to knock at the horrible sound - she knows what foul creature lurks unseen within the fence! The goblin warrior unsheathes Gorge of Gluttons and is immediately infused with a sense of bravery and smoldering hatred. "Where is it?" she hisses angrily, searching for a gate in the fence.
"You all brave goblin heroes! No wonder Zarongel favors you!" Reeta praises her companions. "All me arrows do was make breeze past Lotslegs." She says ruefully, shaking her shorbow in disgust. "We should come back after getting fireworks an' take Lotslegs' head an' legs back to village! That sure make Ekkie jealous!" Reeta grins at the thought. The balloon-headed goblin takes a fat caterpillar out of her pocket, pinches its head off, and sucks out its innards as she peers thoughtfully around the glen. "Me wonders if Lotslegs' lair is around here... Maybe it has treasures?" she asks her companions.
However, Poog had moved up to Lotslegs and hit it with his dog slicer, so it might have provoked an AoO from him when it moved to attack Mogmurch?
ROUND TWO: "NO EATS CHUFFY, LOTSLEGS! LOTTY KILLS US ALL IF WE LETS YOU EATS HIM!" Reeta screams at the giant spider as she looses another arrow in its direction.
However, despite her wish that no further harm come to her companion, Reeta does not waste the opportunity to move AWAY from the giant spider - stepping back a few paces in an attempt to avoid becoming the creature's next target.
Apologies for the absence. I've been tied up with the in-laws (figuratively, not literally) since last Thursday. I'll get a post in the gameplay thread later this evening. Thanks!
Reeta stumbles back a step from Lotslegs Eats Goblin Babies Many to stand next to Mogmurch. Trembling in fear she fires an arrow at the giant arachnid...
... but her shot flies wide of its mark.

Fair, I think I got the dogslicer, I guess I could take the fire breath one. Mogmurch, I'll trade you the Dragon Breath Gourd for the Gorge of Gluttons. The stats for the Dragon Breath Gourd (aka Elixir of Fire Breath) are as follows: This strange bubbling elixir bestows upon the drinker the ability to spit gouts of flame. He can breathe fire up to three times, each time dealing 4d6 points of fire damage to a single target up to 25 feet Away. The victim can attempt a DC 13 Reflex save for half damage. Unused blasts of fire dissipate 1 hour after the liquid is consumed.
Here's the stats for the different fireworks: Paper Candle (4): This finger-sized explosive detonates noisily 1 round after lighting. Anyone in the same square as a paper candle when it explodes must make a DC 15 Fortitude save or be dazzled for 1d4 rounds. Desnan Candle (2): When lit, this foot-long wooden tube launches a flaming pyrotechnic “candle” every round for 4 rounds. The projectiles deal 1 point of nonlethal damage and 1 point of fire damage if they hit; on a critical hit, the target is also blinded for 1 round. The projectiles shed light as candles for 1 round and have a range increment of 5 feet. Attacking with a star candle is a ranged touch attack and always has a –4 nonproficiency penalty. Skyrocket (1): When lit, this foot-long wooden tube begins to shake and emit a handful of white sparks, shedding light as a torch. One round later it takes flight, moving at a speed of 90 feet for 1d6 rounds before loudly exploding in a burst of light and sound, dealing 2d6 points of fire damage in a 10-foot-radius burst (Reflex DC 15 halves). Anyone who takes damage from the explosion is either blinded or deafened (50% chance of either) for 1 round. How about Chuffy take the Desnan candles and the skyrocket, since lighting something with a tindertwig is only a standard action (as opposed to a full round action with flint and tinder). And how about Poog and Mogmurch split the paper candles.
Ha! How many of us have tools to make fire? Reeta has flint and tinder.
Seeing Chuffy slip into the bushes, Reeta decides to follow his example. The balloon-headed goblin moves to hide behind the branches of a bushy shrub near the edge of the clearing as she continues to scan the surrounding vegetation, her bow held at the ready.
Wary of the dangers that lurk in the swamp, Reeta glances about the clearing with an arrow nocked to her bowstring.
Do we want to switch around any of the prizes before we get into a combat situation? I was thinking that the +1 Horsebane Dogslicer might be better utilized by Reeta, while the Elixir of Dragon Breath and the Ring of Climbing that Reeta won might be of more use to the other PC's. Thoughts?
Reeta's grin fades as the goblins bring out the Rusty Earbiter. The balloon-headed goblin unconsciously reaches under her muddy, tattered wedding veil and runs her fingers over the scars left across her head from the first time she tried to crawl through the fiendish contraption. Reeta's grin returns as Chuffy fairly slides through the Rusty Earbiter like a greased pig. She hoots and hollers with excitement for the dexterous rogue, and sticks her tongue out at Ekkie when the whiny goblin female complains. Ekkie shouts as she looks at the others "You not dare?" Reeta makes a show of rubbing the shiny Ring That Lets You Climb Real Good on her finger and glancing pointedly at the Dragon Brew Gourd on her belt as she sneers wickedly at Ekkie. "Me no needs to crawl through Rusty Earbiter! Me winned TWO contests AND me Eats a Bag of Bull Slugs Real Quick - even if nots as quick as Moggy!" Reeta brags, companionably slapping the still-queasy Mogmurch on the back. "Me already proved mez a hero!"
For the Rusty Earbiter challenge, can we use something (mud, slug slime, etc.) to grease ourselves to get a bonus to the Escape Artist checks? Otherwise Reeta may have to sit this one out due to her massive balloon-head.
Hiding!
"Alrighty, me gives it a go!" Reeta declares as she wipes the last of the slug slime from her face. As the other goblins focus their attention on Mogmurch and Chuffy's dash into the marsh, Reeta sneaks off in the opposite direction and hides within a large mud puddle under a clump of bushes.
"Great job, Moggy!" Reeta cheers her fellow contestant, slug slime still staining her pointy teeth. "You real goblin hero! Me bets you could eats Lotslegs Eat Goblin Babies Many!"
Ekkie pipes up again "Haha! I don't zink zey can eatz a bag of bull slugs real quick" "All yourz Morzy and Reetaz" Reeta sticks out her tongue at Ekkie's dare and rudely blows a raspberry in the offending female goblin's direction. She plops down across the basket from Mogmurch and gives the alchemist a fierce grin. "Come on, Moggy! We shows them what REAL goblin heroez is mades of!" Reeta reaches into the bag, pulls out a slug, and pops it into her mouth. She chews with gusto and grins messily as the slimy creature squeals as it pops, and she is careful to spit out the slime bladder before swallowing with a loud gulp. As she swallows she reaches for the next slug and repeats the procedure...
... But seems to have trouble swallowing the fifth slug. She makes several more attempts to swallow the last one...
... And finally manages to force the vile creature down her throat just before the time expires, spitting the last poisonous slime bladder in Ekkie's direction.
"You rides good too, Chuffy!" Reeta exclaims, spraying chewed up cider apple from her toothy maw. "Think some of you'se pus gots on Squealy Nord, made him sticky-sticky so me no falls off!" she chuckles, giving Chuffy a companionable slap on his back.
"Hee-Hee-HEE!!" Reeta shrieks with delight as she watches Mogmurch and Poog try to ride Squealy Nord. She laughs even louder when Chuffy falls off on his first attempt, but cheers excitedly for the pustular goblin as he succeeds at his second attempt. "My turn! MY TURN!!" Reeta yells once Chuffy is done. The other goblins barely have time to tether Squealy Nord before Reeta leaps onto the pig's back and cuts the cord with a slash from her dogslicer. Holding on with one hand while waving her dogslicer about with the other, the balloon-headed goblin whoops and hollers as the squealing pig shoots from the narrow corral and scampers around the muddy pit, her tattered wedding veil fluttering wildly about her face.
Grinning toothily from ear-to-ear (quite a disturbing sight on a goblin with such a large head), Reeta takes one more ride around the ring, sticking her tongue out and rudely blowing a raspberry in Ekkie's direction as she heads back to the corral.
"HA!" she exclaims as she dismounts and hops nimbly out of the corral. "That not so hard! Got it on first try! What next?" she asks loudly, as she chomps on another cider apple.
Reeta's wide toothy grin nearly splits her balloon-like head when Chief Gutwad calls her a hero. She dances with excitement at the mention of more fireworks.
"HE HE HE, that's VORKA's territory! Time to sneakyz sneakyz unless youz wantz to be mealz for Vorkaz. She usez to bez a Licktoadz chieftanz matez, ate the chieftanz and was banishedz from Licktoadz." "Me no 'fraid of Vorka," Reeta sneers, drawing her dogslicer and licking the blade. "Poog an' Mogmurch burn her and I fight her while you sneaky-sneaks behind her an' cut her throat good, Chuffy. Then we bring her back an' feed HER to Squealy Nord!" Reeta crows excitedly. "Now we burn away bad luck an' play games!!!" Reeta exclaims, popping another fat caterpillar into her mouth and chewing noisily.

Reeta Bigbad merrily sings as she saunters over to the group, wiping a greasy hand across the front of her ill-fitting corset and blowing the tattered wedding veil out from her face. "Howdy, boys!" Reeta exclaims with a grin, pulling a fat caterpillar from her pocket. With a mischievous giggle she pulls off each of the wriggling creature's tiny legs and flicks them away before popping its body in her toothy maw and chomping down with a satisfying *SQUELCH*. "Been waitin' long?" she asks through caterpillar-stained teeth. "Where's Slorb?"
Sorry for the delay! The Easter weekend got the best of me, but I've finally recovered from all of the family excitement. Reeta postes in Gameplay soon! |
